did this game mode become popular? And are people still playing it? I always hated base building, but it seems I'm in a tiny minority when it comes to that..
@ronnysoeberg have you tried dawn of war 2? That game is all about tactical game play without basebuiliding. I I like both tactical and base building types of games, but tactical I like more. So im asking the same question as you here.. let me know if you played this game. :)
@BolusInfernalis Yeah, played lots of DoW2 :) It's great. It's the kind of strategy that I love. with cover system tactics and stuff like that. Not just puking out a million units and doing a slight bit of microing while attacking and then calling it a day. That's what made SC2 a complete disappointment to me. It was like stepping through a portal to the 1990s again. I do love Total Annihilation, though. In that game, base building is actually FUN :)
What they did with Generals and C&C 3 was genius. Both games are among the best RTS ever made but different enough in look and play to be 2 totally different games. Yet knowing how to play one makes playing the other easy.
Then they had a brain fart with Red alert 3 and this game here.
Best RTs games to play Generals(Zero hour)-C&C 3(Kanes wrath)-Company of heroes. Got those 3 you are set for a while.
Come on people! Don't hate on the developers so much! They tried something new. Obviously not a good idea for a classic series but at least they were trying to enforce teamwork. Something I don't see in most strategy games.

when i first played the open beta, i hated it, but after a long while, i finally decided to give it another shot, so i bought the game, installed it played it and now im enjoying it, its a pretty fun game if your looking for something fresh and new

Tiberium sun and Generals were the best, due to the BASE BUILDING feature. Yes, people play CnC for that reason, its amazing how the public see this when the game developers missed it completly.

it's obvious that not to many people have embraced this game with open arms... but i have given it a go and put aside the fact that it's so different from previous versions... overall not too impressive.. but still fun when you have 5v5 online.. 1v1 or 2v2 just doesn't seem like there is enough action going on.. not a great way for the saga to end sadly.. still so many unanswered questions!!!!

I had the cracked version at first... I had to try it before spaming its shit without playing it - and I must say I LOVE IT. I went and bought the real thing to play online with my friend. The new system is actually cool, its much hard than the old spam units and win. Here you have CP so you have to think about what you need instead of spaming units.. Cant wait to play it online!

it's obvious that not to many people have embraced this game with open arms... but i have given it a go and put aside the fact that it's so different from previous versions... overall not too impressive.. but still fun when you have 5v5 online.. 1v1 or 2v2 just doesn't seem like there is enough action going on.. not a great way for the saga to end sadly.. still so many unanswered questions!!!!

I had the cracked version at first... I had to try it before spaming its shit without playing it - and I must say I LOVE IT. I went and bought the real thing to play online with my friend. The new system is actually cool, its much hard than the old spam units and win. Here you have CP so you have to think about what you need instead of spaming units.. Cant wait to play it online!
