  • how much do wide angle lens cost

  • WHAT CAM? ;)

  • if i go to bestbuy can i find a wide angle lens that is a different size ( my camera is old and big and has a really big lens)

  • Comment removed

  • if you guys want anymore proof than watch my newer videos. i use a $15 wide angle lens and used this method and it looks just the same as a fisheye

  • @DefinitionOfStupid Where did you buy lens ?

  • i can open that black ring!!help me!!

  • idiot you can see that the circle on top of the lens sais fisheye

  • would it work on a jvc everio?

  • @m4killall as long as it has a threading for a lens adapter

  • Wou very easy!

  • Is this possible on a contour?

  • brilliant

    compatible with reflex?

  • @Cesarrider4497 only if it has a threading for a lens adapter it will work

  • I'm sorry, but it work this way lol. flipping your wide lens doesn't make a fisheye

  • @ramin85 yes it does...

  • @DefinitionOfStupid no it doesn't. Fisheye lenses are more than "look". the mirror on the lens should have a strong curve. If you hold a camera with a proper fisheye lens you can see your own feet at the bottom of the image or your friend who's standing beside you will be in the image. That makes the fisheye lens to capture a wider angle. By flipping a normal lens, you just create the LOOK of a fisheye.

  • @ramin85 yes it does. if you look at all of my videos its filmed with my wide angle lens that i turned into a fisheye. it has all the same effects of a fisheye because after you do this to a wide angle lens its now a fisheye 100%

  • @DefinitionOfStupid no it doesn't. a 6.5 mm fisheye lens is VERY different from a flipped 35mm wide lens.

  • @ramin85 whatever you say.........

  • @DefinitionOfStupid will this work with a digital cam like cybershot?

  • @ramin85 dude who cares man its cheap and effective i would rather pay 20 dollars for something that works just as good than pay 300 dollars for the same result seriously if it works well the might as well save money

  • @DefinitionOfStupid but that was a wide angle

  • @ramin85 It's not just the look, watch the whole video, you can't see his feet throughout the video until he puts the "fisheye" on.

  • @ramin85 this absolutely makes a real fisheye lens. You claim to know so much abou them, yet cant see in the final shot how the field of view gets much wider? Are you kidding me

  • @TeDubbs If you think this will work for you go ahead and do it. I won't say that this method wouldn't work for filming some street skating footage, but this is NOT a fisheye lens equivalent!!

I'm an industrial photographer, I've done these experiments before. Trust me, if this was the solution I wouldn't have spent $35,000 and counting of my hard earned money on equipment. That is why I still look for CHEAPER ways prep my equipment. Some equipment I can build cheap, and some I just can't.

  • @ramin85 But it does create a REAL fisheye. It may not be as wide of an angle as professional fisheyes, but it clearly widens the field of view by a decent amount. Ive made my own fisheyes using this method, and with a peephole for a door, and both of them have given me around a 160 degree FOV.

  • @ramin85 if you spent 35000 on equipment than why on your channel all your videos are stolen tv videos. if i spent that much on filming equipment i would be putting it to use. if your going to lie you should try to make it believable at least...

  • @DefinitionOfStupid nothing is stolen. I have only one video which I used a paid template for. Everything else is mine.

Besides I said I'm an industrial photographer, what is on my channel are mostly what I like to do, it's not what I make money with or what I'm best at.

  • how could i put a fish eye lens on my camera if my camera didnt have any threads

  • @The4bzzzz you have to take an adapter ring, and glue it to the camera with super glue, and i suggest using veeery small amounts of super glue and closing the lense cover, you might have the same camera as me

  • @AptDesigns no you would need a canon mount fisheye

  • Does it work with an iPhone 4s? Cuz it the iPhone 4s has 5 lenses

  • what camera is that?

  • Does it work with Nikon S3100 5x wide lens?

  • Wow nice idea keep it up

  • you can buy a fish-eye lens for 25 dollars with a guarantee or what not, online js~

  • can i make a fisheye from a cheap angle lens fom dealextreme? iam bit afraid to fuck my money up for nothing

  • makes a shitty "fisheye".... ull get an awful glare anyways.... u could just go on amazon and get a cheap like 30-35 dollar opteka lens...

  • @DefinitionOfStupid

Are you sure it's only 20 bucks for a wide angle lens? I checked and they seem waaay more expensive

  • can i do that to 18-135 canon lens ?

  • my friend...your a fucking genius

  • can I do this for a Nikon Coolpix L120?

    nice vid btw.

  • would this work on a canon dslr kit lens

  • @sk8r151zz as long as there's two lens inside and your able to unscrew the top , than yes

  • @sk8r151zz it won't work because inside the kit lens because it's a zoom lens, you need to find a prime like the 50mm f/1.8 and it is a lot more difficult because the build inside the lens is totally different to the lens shown in the video.

  • all of you guys are idiots. he used his fisheye because he couldn't find his wide lens. all he did was demonstrate the principle of what to do on a wide lens. keep it up man

  • @reytr0 thank you, finally someone who has a brain

  • On the lense holder it says "fisheye"

  • What kind of lens was it before?

  • real fisheyes cost 5 times the price, but they are also 30 times better

  • lol opteka .43 lens idiiot hahah i have that lens

  • if you carefully watch how he says "he flip the lens" the only thing is if you watch carefully he just reassemle the lenses as they where from start

  • you had zoomed in to the lens! plus i saw the word ''fisheye'' on the lens! DICKHEAD!!

  • @SKATEBOARDINGLars can anybody read? i already stated that a wide angle lens and a fisheye lens are all the same. they both have 2 lens inside the only difference is that in the fisheye the lens are facing the opposite way of a wide angle lens, so to save a few 100 bucks all u got to do is buy a 20 wide angle lens and flip it... DICKHEAD

  • @DefinitionOfStupid You have both of the top comments! NOT FAIR! >.<'

  • @DefinitionOfStupid i understand what you’re saying but you’ve got the physics of a fisheye lens alllllll wrong. a fisheye lens is simply any wide angle lens that does not have any elements correcting for the distortions that said wide angle has.

  • @DefinitionOfStupid you honestly have no idea what you are talking about

  • could it work on a canon t3?

  • so u got a fish eye then made it a fish eye

  • @jackkrichilsky no shit sherlock, read the description

  • Does it works with a 14mm lens panasonic ?!

I'm a bit scared to fuck off my lens... for nothing...

  • @ArtsDream it works for all cameras that have a thread for a adapter. bring ur camera into bestbuy and theyll set u up

  • @DefinitionOfStupid does it work for a samsung pl90?

  • @DefinitionOfStupid do they have fisheyes for kodak easyshare M420? plz reply

  • @fallendude246 does the lens have threads?

  • @willtruslow nevermind im makeing a homeade

  • i saw the word fisheye on the lens dick.

  • @bBoyHeretic

its works the same way as a wide angle lens dick

  • @DefinitionOfStupid really? then make a video like THAT.

  • @bBoyHeretic its 100% the same so it would be pointless you fucking troll

  • @DefinitionOfStupid um why yes, you are the definition of stupid faggot

  • Where can i get a lens like that PLEASE ANSWER ( I checked Bestbuy)

  • will this work on a canon rebel t3i

  • @benjieffie yes

  • where can u get a peephoel from but not from shops

  • whats the big difference between a wide angle lens and a fisheye?

  • @jackkrichilsky its works the same for both, get your facts straight next time

  • @DefinitionOfStupid sureeee

  • @DefinitionOfStupid Just because you have more VIG does not mean it's a fisheye. A concave lens cannot POSSIBLY be a fisheye... Convex can because of its shape. I need to draw a picture to explain.... But sorry this is not a fisheye.

  • the lens says fisheye bro

    Step 4. done.

  • @SneakyNapkinz step 1 tooo dificult

  • Can u put it on a flip video?

  • does this work with any digital camera?

  • @arielbacharimon no. just camcorders

  • i have a kenko fisheye and a sunpak wide angle lens. I got my fisheye for 32 something and my wide angle for 15. I turned the wide angle in to a fisheye and i would of saved 17 bucks. i would buy the wide angle lens and turn it in to a fisheye. make sure you get the right mm ring so it fits.
