@roccolou The only gay drama the US has churned out, that I recall, is Brokeback Mountain. Which had damn good actors and was a very good, moving movie as well.

Hermosa historia de amor, respeto, tradicion, acceptacion, inspiracion, emociones, sociedad, el deseo de ser libre emocionalmente, y la esposa dios mio eso es entender, respetar y verdaderamente amar para poder perdonar. Las actuaciones de Cristian wow eso es actuar sientes su sentimientos, su dolor, su amor y su tristesa. Tatiana esa mujer si sabe dar dolor sabe amar y sabe perdonar. @edgarae1 The film was finished in 2009 and had its theatrical release in Peru in August of 2010, which makes it perfectly eligible for the upcoming Oscars. Otherwise, the Academy would've not accepted it. The screenplay and the project started its development in 2003 and it took the director and producers 6 years to find the financing, which as you may know, it's usually the case with independent films.

Quienes la comparen con "Brokeback mountain" es por que no conocen este tipo de peliculas a fondo y creen que todo se copia a U.S.A......Si pueden verlas aqui unos titulos..."No, se lo digas a nadie"{Peruana}...."Plata quemada"{Argentina}...."Segund­a piel"{España}.....Con temas similares y tocados delicadamente y muy bien hechos....Y todas estas peliculas fueron hechas antes de "Brokeback..." Fue la mas comercial,claro.pero no la primera....

Vi la pelicula hoy dia , vaya sorpresa que me lleve , muy buena pelicula ,en el Peru sacamos peliculas , pero ninguna como esta , ni La Teta Asustada que no tuvo nada de bueno a mi parecer , Contracorriente es mucho mejor , ya esta pre-clasificada entre las 65 películas que competiran por quedar entre las semifinalistas por los Oscar representando a Peru , esperemos que logre quedar una cinta peruana nuevamente entre las finalistas y porque no ganar un Oscar.

@Hazhemiann vi esta pelicula y realmente me parecio excelente, se que van a haber comentarios que la comparen con Brokeback mountain o ghost o lo que sea, pero eso no quita merito, la peli conmueve por momentos la historia es muy original mas alla de las similitudes que la gente cree encontrar y no va a pasar desapercibida, cuando vi que estaba preclasificada para los Oscar, me dije entra seguro, se lo merece y no seria nada raro que el Oscar se vuelva a quedar en Latinoamerica :)
