There we go, Nude during OK Computer tour. Chalk that up as another piece of Radiohead's secret album puzzle. You guys do know the secret album, right?
Classic version of this featuring the multi-instrumentation of Johnny Greenwood playing Xylophone and Hammond organ at the same time, and of course the heavy distortion ending that Ed adds. Wish that stuff made the final album version 10 years later. I see nothing wrong to this day with the trademark 90's distortion stomp for musical dynamics.
It's amazing to think how much time they must have spent writing "Nude" as we hear it today on In Rainbows. It came from this, I would almost say, infant/childish sounding grunge-synth mix to a matured piece of art. Bravo!
I find it fascinating when bands sit on songs for years before releasing them. If they perform them often enough, you get to hear the songs transform during the band's stylistic evolution.
i dont know. I think there were enough songs on OK with this pace. I liked putting In Rainbows in the deck and hearing something reminiscent of the OK era while still having that fresh feeling to it (even if they tricked me into thinking it was new lol).
Plus i like the in Rainbows version better. The violins really take it over the top..
Frig, I wanted to own Meeting People is Easy for the past 2 years. Never seem to have the finances for it when it is avaliable. Thanks for rubbing in that I don't have it.
I bought a copy at the hastings in my town, and the packaging was sort of ripped so i was jokingly asking for a discount, and i didn't get one, and then when i got home i opened it right away to watch it of course...SOMEBODY FREAKIN STOLE THE DVD. so not only did i not get it, but someone else got it for free...
I really wish they would record Lift.

Amazing how the song was already formed exactly a DECADE before it was released. That is incredible.

Is there full video or audio of the live part anywhere (this song, not necessarily the whole concert)?

Jonny should break that organ out again for some new songs, i like how it sounds with the rest of the band. I just like organs in general i guess.

i think ed did a much better guitar part on this song than jonny's version (which ended up on in rainbows)... i'm sure that's open to debate though!
