I never really noticed, but looking at the decals, I would say 2000, which was his rookie year. He only ran a few races in '99 and went full time in 2000.

Wow, really great collection. I have a collection of about 30-40 cars myself, which is nothing compared to your's. But, I'd like to know with the addition of 200 cars, where have the new ones gone, since your cabinet seems pretty full.

Oh, and where did you get the las vega track peice at 1:20? I think that I have an idea, but I'm not sure.

Where did the other 200 go? Well, the spaces between the cars grew smaller and smaller and smaller.I also moved the 1/18th scale cars out to a new cabinet, which freed up two shelves. With 550 cars as of today (and 12 on order), there is almost no room left so I am not sure what my next step will be???

As for the "Las Vegas" track. My son built the stand for me, I painted it and then got a plexiglass cover made for it . The Las Vegas sign is actually printed on white card stock and I change it each week to the name of that week's race and put in the top two cars.
