how do you make them talk to nobody

its paul's reaction tester. push ctrl+shift+c and type 'boolprop testingcheatsneabled true' and then shift+ click on a sim and push spawn. push 'pauls reaction tester' and there should be a box appear around the sim. push on it and push on one of the collums [i think thats what they are called] and there are different interactions, like wave or lecture.

You could also use the 'moveobjects on' cheat, make the sim talk to someone, go onto buy mode and move your sim.
