  • 2:20. Gardner should have thrown the sink at him.

  • There is no B'ox in this episode. i am dissapoint.

  • You mean to tell me that Cartoon Network can't afford two voice talents???? The same guy who does the Bat-man does Kilowag???

  • you got part 1.But part 2?

  • The villains are allowed to keep theyr helmets and hats when they are in prison?

  • @narmolania if they didn't get to keep them, we wouldn't know who the hell they were ;)

  • @narmolania So much for rehabilitation, although I'm more confused as to why they keep both male and female prisoners in the same place.

  • @CrimsomS that is trange... I noted the same thing when I watched Kim Possible episodes... maby its the future, where men and women can be in the same prison? or its just a super villainy thing XDD

  • When I fist saw a clip of TBATB, I thought I'd never like it and it was for kids, but the more i watch, the more I recognize what they are trying to do. What a genius mesh of classic cartoons and modern day storytelling. Loving it.

  • guy gardner is quite clearly the best GL. he actually has, a personality.

  • what makes this series so brilliant is the artwork, there are nods to sprang, kirby etc.

Also the fact they bring in various dc universe heroes & villains.

Watch the Captain Marvel epison with dr sivana & black adam . Awesome!!

  • Just throw everything at him...I didn't see a kichen sink though.

  • I like how they had the whole corps even Ch'p!

  • okaaaaaay there's a squirrel green lantern, which goes to show anyone can be a hero

  • "Poozer." Awesome. This cartoon is so cool.

  • Has the double-G Green Lantern been raiding the Looney Tunes video library?

  • kyle rayner is the best lantern ever

  • Guy Gardner Best Green Lantern. He's just the man

  • dont you hate watching part of something then finding out that you CANT FUCKING FIND THE SECOND PART...........

  • @fai42019 totally agree

  • merlin is the same guy than paradox

  • WERE THE FUCK IS PART 2

  • 1:18 ....Thats what she said... Lol, but gasp, see how Batman's baterangs are sticking to their heads?? O.O OMG looks like he kills them. And big lols to Green Arrow's Captain Obvious come back. XD Hilarious stuff. Awesome.

  • I always hated Guy Gardner.

  • Notice near three thirty second mark when the prisoners are breaking out, (have to pause to see) first out (in purple hat) is Louie The Lilac, then another guy wearing a hat (with a feather) is The Archer, then Mad Hatter, then pause again for The Bookworm, then Shame, *later* Marsha Queen of Diamonds and The Siren, Clock King, King Tut, Ma Parker, Black Widow, Falseface, then finally Egghead.

How Cool! Thnx for sharing, total fav!

  • i swear, all the green lantern corps members look like cereal mascots

  • 7:06 that guy looks like Plasmus

  • That one robot lantern RULEZ!!!!!!

  • isn't the monster yellow?

  • I wasn't sure how this was since I was a fan of the old, Dark animated series, but this stuff is actually really funny and entertaining. Definitely worth the watch.

  • I don't know if anyone watches NCIS but is Merlin David MCCallum? the guy who played Ducky?

  • cant stand the them song. ugh! The old one so much better. sorry for the ones who....like it?

  • Wait a minute. If he's yellow, wouldn't the lantern rings have no effect on him?

  • 4:55-4:56

One of the best offhand-backhands in superhero history, second only to the Creeper's in "Beware the Creeper".

  • plastic-man is kinda lame.

  • Funny how the prison does not have any weapon or guns in the towers but have to call superheros when a breakout occours. Good to know they are worth their paycheak.

  • @Kasukimuki

And the gates are wide open... Good thing Bats and Arrow came up on time...

  • he finally shows his face

on episode chill of the night

    it waz a good episode

  • Love Comics?G00gle crimsonarcherjimdo and check out my PinUP-Tony Baez

  • wheres part 2. this is a fuckin tease!

  • @pglove69 It got deleted, so shut up.

  • I can't listen to Merlin without thinking of Doctor Mallard. Which isn't a bad thing for me. David McCallum: my favorite guest, right up there with Neil Patrick Harris.

  • At 0:11: That's Arkillo (or a member of his species).

  • This is my favorite episode! I really enjoy it.

  • ...We've just been teleported.

Ladies and gentleman, the Worlds Greatest Detective :P

    lmao

  • um...the part in the beginning...the alien was yellow...how would any of their rings work on the guy? or is this after the guardians removed that barrier of the rings

  • this batman is not dark knight

  • you must be the worlds greatest detective

  • WTF. do they even have coed prisons anymore. the writers gotta get their heads checked, this aint the 1800s and dont prisoners wear orange?

  • @unluckykoneko112233 it is a stereotipe

  • The movie with all Green Lanterns was the bomb. Explained the origins of the power and had the yellow ring. It was on the CN like a week ago.

  • you know what I want from this show now an episode featuring Hal Jordan Kyle Rayner Guy Gardner and John Stewart just for the sheer epicness of having the 4 human Lanterns on screen together.

  • @thewalrus45

Dude i was so just thinking the same thing right b4 i read ur comment, that would b totally awesome! =^D

  • tht wuld kick ass let hal jordan lead them

  • in the new comics gardner is so fucking awesome it's almost hilarious.

  • I like this episode. It has Merlin the Wizard in it.

  • Yes! I was wondering when GL would show up.

  • Would've been a nice sort-of subtle nod if the arrow got turned into a canary instead.

  • Is that Diedrich Bader?

  • @MylesRodgers i was surprised when i heard it too it sounds great for the batman their tryin to pull-off in the series

  • Yeah, it sounds great!

  • It was easy to guess that the little guy would do something shocking.

  • Being a fan of the 1960's Batman show,I thought it was cool how the writers artists not only included cameos by the TV show villains, but also made them look like the actors who played them.

  • Haha epic Green Lantern FAIL haha

  • The blonde with Siren is Marsha Queen of Diamonds, not Minerva. Although it's debatable, most websites say it's Marsha. I guess you have to go back and compare the two villainesses in their episodes.

  • What?!? Why is it always Marsha?!? MARSHA MARSHA MAR--... no, wait, wrong series...

(sing) "Marsha in the sky with dia..."

    Sorry.

  • 6:07 - Awesome Back to the Future reference! "Okay Doc, where are we?" "Better to ask 'when' are we?"

  • Adam west should be BATMAN on this show. if you make a show based on a comic from the 50s than make it complete by hiring the Batman voice from round that time.

3:33 short but nice to see King Tut and Egghead again...even as a short cameo...why not a ful episode?

  • And Louie the Lilac, the Bookworm, the original Mad Hatter, the Siren, Minerva, the Archer, Ma Parker, the Black Widow, and the original Clock King.

Come on, Warners, just settle with Fox and release the damn Batman DVD set already... ;(

  • It's a reunion of the 1960's Batman Series: Egghead, Bookworm, Mad Hatter, Louie the Lilac, King Tut, Ma Parker, Shame, Clock King etc.

  • Green Lantern Core....isn't that for marvel?

  • Nope. DC has the Green Lantern Corps., Marvel has the Nova Corps. The concept is somewhat similar but DC's Green Lanterns precede Marvel's Novas by about 30 years.

  • nope DC...

  • Shame is in there, too!

  • Anyone notice the 1960 tv show villains in this scene ... Egghead, King Tut, Bookworm, Louie the Lilac, The Siren, Manerva, The Black Widow, Ma Parker, Archer, Clock King, Mad Hatter (David Wayne's) ... it all starts about 4:40 or so! Check it out!

  • That wasn't Minerva, that was Marsha, Queen of Diamonds. I could tell by her hairstyle.

  • pra mim sempre o melhor Batman será o da série The Animated Series.

  • Green Arrow : as in olays.

Batman: as in, in your dreams.

  • uh thats one of the earliest and orginal batman designs, know your batman, kid.

  • this is the original costum of batman!!all time classic!i like it!

  • yeah i like Kitty cats too...

  • actually its not since the yellow circle came in after wards

  • Green Arrow:

    *shoots trick arrow*

    *shoots trick arrow*

    *punches sneaking bad guy*

    *shoots trick arrow*

Al in the day`s work! XD

  • In the 80s, he was.

  • If you have seen a lot of JL episodes and the old school batman episodes this is the perfect combo :D

  • Kilowog!!!! 1:20. wow I didnt even know he was

    if they have Guy Gardner

Im wonder if they have Hal Jordan too or John Stewart.

  • Or Kyle. Alan Scott would be nice too.

  • This show pretty much made him ridiculously so. Needlessly. He's a lot more mature than that in the comic books.

  • Actually, in the 80s, he was a total jerk.

  • Ok, he's no that much of a prick NOW.

  • Well, sure... but the series does kind of reach back to the older look and feel of batman, even though it's an odd mix and match... like they have the new Blue Beetle, but they have a younger Green Arrow... but yeah, I think Guy in the series is more based on the way he was in the JLI days.

  • Wish they'd either go one way or another, then. If they're going to use the latest elements of the most modern heroes, they should stick to the current state of character development and events.

Or, if they want to be true to this odd, old-ish drawing style...have the whole cartoon revolve around the old continuity.

  • yellow monster...so how does the lantern power event effect it?

  • It's not yellow, it's off-green.

    Or something.

  • lol 4:53

  • BITCHSLP FATALITY!!! >D

  • thats funny, it looks like evil dead, jaja

  • I find this show to be much better than the Batman. This show has better writing, which is evidenced by how attached you get to each guest star despite the little time they are given. And it's nice to see characters like Guy Gardner, Adam Strange, Plastic Man, etc who were never adapted by the DCAU.

  • That's the whole point of this series -- to go back to the ORIGINAL concept of "The Brave and the Bold" -- Batman is the draw and the guest stars are lesser used DC characters. The object is simply to tell a good story -- and not, for once, to get all caught up in continuity -- but just to enjoy the storytelling. Once you accept THAT premise, this series is a LOT of fun.

  • @midknightryder13 YOu said it! Thanks to these series I appreciate not only batman, but a lot of other underrated heroes and villains some more!

  • @gthletic1

i agree, in the terms u've described this show is way better, i also like the idea of making Batman a cosmic hero, that's pretty damn awesome =^)

  • 4real these new cartoons are sweeet some better then others i like them ..

  • ... they get really really big.

    lolz

  • like hung?

  • the music reminds me alil of cowboy bebop

  • Green Arrow has a hard-on at 4:32!

  • Thats his knee!!

    not a hard-on!!

    hes in a kneeling position!!

  • but when you look at it fast its seems like hes hard lol

  • I think Batman is WAY too much of a badass in this show.

The monster was in a green lantern base and beat up everybody until Batman stop him .

  • what's cool about this show is its for kids, so the things that usally need an explanation don't, so the possiblities are endless. Kudos to the creators!!! More Please!!

  • 3:50

The Bookworm, from the 60´s series!

  • are you really dumb?? the original team up series was CALLED batman the brave and the bold.

  • he wat?? i'm sorry you trailed off there.

these characters are generally faithful to there original incarnations not their darker reincarnations

  • How are the other heroes (Green Arrow, Blue Beatle, Plastic Man, Aquaman, etc.) portrayed as being "inept", "unheroic" or "generally unfaithful".

    Give us an example.

  • Green Lanterns at the beginning of this episode are pretty Inept and useless at the beginning of this episode, Green Arrow in most episodes seems to suffer a massive inferiority complex when near batman, Blue Beetle is acutally more useful for what I've seen though

  • The Green Arrow in this series is closer to the original character from the comics when he first appeared. He was, at best, a rip off of Batman.

He had a similar sidekick, an "Arrowmobile" and even an "Arrow Cave". Batman even said to him once: "Didn't you ever have an original thought?" So G.A. trying to be like Batman fits with the character.

As for the Green Lanterns, if the G.L.'s took out that big yellow muppet, you and everyone else would complain that Batman didn't do it.

  • why exactly would I complain, Don't make assumptions for myself thank you, as for the other heroes, I will admit watching the episodes some more has made me rethink my original idea but I still think they overall make the Green Lanterns look pretty wussy

  • Green Arrow's voice is Awesome even his costume.

  • so how did merlin become a prisoner in that jailbreak?

  • I didn't now prisons were going co-ed.

  • hahha! Guy Gardner is really former NFL QB Cade McNown!!

  • OMG! You right!!! LOL.

I saw King Tut and Egghead. LOL. Funny.

Too bad they haven't showcase a epsiode about those two villians.

  • They hit almost every 2nd string villian through the old Batman 60's series in that prision break...I have to admit...THAT was impressive. Seeing King Tut, Egghead, Shame, and they even had false face!

  • Morgaine is so Hot!

  • thanks for hosting

  • this show rocks ass hole

  • The Madhatter, the bookworm, the clock king and Louie the lialic

  • I love the cameos of all the '60s TV Show villains during the prison break! King Tut Returns!

  • Grodd looks better as a gorilla then he does as a human.

  • i like this new series - it's campy but not as silly as the old 60s one and it has a bit of the edge of the old animated series. Batman is tough but not goofy

  • Merlin is done by David McCallum, the guy who plays Ducky on "NCIS."

    Hooray!

  • So the rings work on a yellow critter?

    That ain't right.

  • 1:27...sitting at the table... to the right... is that a gaint squirrel... with a bowtie...?

  • Yes.

A character from the eighties meant to hearken back to 'funny animal' comics

  • Are you refering to Artix the racoon like creature from Mymasan IV? A high ranking member of the corps before his death.

  • Yeesh, sorry...

  • 1:22 Okay first a tree/plant lantern in the comics now a Flying union here? LMAO XD

  • the theme reminds me of Cowboy Bebop

  • Felix Faust at 5:02 !!! ^^ *fangirls*

  • Bat and Joker's almost frenemy relationship during the show was fantastic. Think of it. If Bats wasn't a hero and Joker wasn't a crazy psychopathic killer. That's a big what-if, but hey, it really deepened their connections. Okay done ranting know. Again, give it a chance!

  • They had a great lesson to learn with the Bat/Joker team up. It really showed Bat and Joker's relationship. This series is much more deep and interesting than most people would intend. Give it a chance!

  • I watched a few of the first episodes and I still intend to catch up with the rest of the series. Though it may not be as great Batman TAS in terms of the DARK knight, I still love this adaptation. A favorite of my mine was when Bats met Owlman and partnered up with the Joker. That's one thing about this series I love. Unlike the restricted dark old(yet still fantastic) series, they can go over the limits.

  • Guy Gardner, W00t!

  • dude merlins voice is the same as paradox from ben 10 alien force

  • Yeah, I guess he specializes in time-traveling characters. XD

  • why would someone stuff his face in a clock

  • Because it's Clock King. We'll know one day, maybe ^^.

  • was that seriously king tut

  • it seriously was. awesome

  • and Bookworm at 4:50!!!!

  • that tiny little creature reminded me of the hulk

  • It's Like they want to bring back the silver age.

  • hahaha classic old villains even from the live action series.

  • this is supposed to be the 70s batman

  • Did he just drop a lantern steam roller?! JoJo's Bizarre adventure reference thar. LOL

  • lol

    GA:really where are we???

    "Merlin turns arrow into bird"

    Bats:Im convinced

    LOL!!! xD lmao

  • This Batman is like a tribute to the old campy one, maybe isn't like the dark knight, but is OK

  • see i think it's a mix of the Campy and the badass, the story and the action are on par with the First DC animated Universe

  • I expect Adam West & Burt Ward to be here. lol

  • So why was Merlin in a 20th Century Jail?

  • Because he knew there was a breakout, and that Batman and Green Arrow will come, so he disguised himself as a prisonner.

    That's what I think.

  • Guy Gardner got a lousy portrayal in this one.

  • I love the art in this.

  • The prisoners were wearing silly hats, and one of them reminded me of Freddy Kruegar.

  • this is why this show is great they could have made up

some GL's for the background, but they use people from the comic book's. these people are comic fans too.

  • King Tut and Egghead, woot!

  • I saw Bookworm, and maybe the Adam West style Mad Hatter in there as well

    Clever homages

  • Another 60s Batman reference that I've noticed is that the "hand in fist"/"Holy-something or other" gesture pops up in a few episodes.

And of course, the fact that they play Speedy like Burt Ward is a nod at how he and Green Arrow were Batman and Robin clones in the first place!
