A+ Brother Echo! I can't believe all this cloned milk and meat nonsense. It's disgusting! The real stuff is gross and to think people are thinking about cloning it. *gags* I try to talk to every person I can about greens and raw eating. I floored a Wal-Mart cashier (yes, I was in a pinch and bought some organic spinach there. Bad me! lol) about kale. She was talking about Dr. Oz & how he says you should eat more. I told her I make it into salads, smoothies and chips. Her face: O___o It was neat!
I cant believe we began, let alone still drink cows milk ( I always wondered who the first person to drink it was haha). What a horrible wake up call when you realise/ get educated about milk.
Respect your bodies!!!!! drink the juice from nature not from animals!
@AvidiaNirvana... some heart surgeon at some hospital just got a big smile on his/her face. :-) DOUBLE DOUBLE = TRIPLE BYPASS I will admit i used to love those things, definitely good and tasty but totally not worth it in my opinion... not even every once in a while. Love and light to you :-)
Even my supervisor seems to be under the impression that feeding these kids dairy products all the time is good for them, because in her words "it has lots of fat which is good for a kid's brain". I had to grit my teeth. But at least I am in a position where I can teach them about other sources of calcium, like leafy green veggies.
@kaeli87 ALMONDS are great for calcium raw almond milk ounce for ounce compared to cows milk has waaay more calcium and it's easily assimilated by the body.
@ConsciousActivist true! I would LOVE to be able to make the kids snacks with nuts.. but unfortunately there is nut-phobia here in Ontario... no nut of any kind is allowed on school property :( oh well. at least i can transmit the knowledge so hopefully at home their parents can introduce the good stuff!! thanks for the tip.
@kaeli87 forget about the nuts then there are plenty of other treats you can try. Smoothies, Juices, trail mix with seeds no nuts... sprouted pumkin seeds, sprouted sunflower seeds, chia seeds, raisins, etc. HAVE FUN :-)
Peoples misunderstanding of dairy is quite frustrating. I run an after-school program and literally every single kid who attends (over 100 weekly) is addicted to cheese and tries to reject any healthy snack that comes their way, like apple and cucumber slices. I did a test: I asked the class to name some foods where they could get calcium from, and all they could come up with was cheese and milk.
Great job brother Echo! I just recently read an article on how the amount of milk being produced in the US is more than is being consumed. So, the dairy industry is making the excess into cheese and paying restaurants to put more cheese into their foods. Dominos now has an 8 cheese pizza... Coincidence? No way!
