  • How and discharge when your a male though...? I need to open up and talk but I don't know who. I have counselling sessions lined up...this is a great vid! Hail John and Roky :)!!

  • Joseph Campbell: The Famous Mythologist Guy

lol That should be his new post-humus title.

  • dude shave your beard! joking.!

  • Fuck whoever disliked this video

  • you can't change the way you were born. you are what you are. YOu were made as well as you could be made. i do think the way we live though keeps us in the same constant state of mind. Having the same names for every 7 days of the week and the same motnhs of the year is keeping you in those gears. that in itself keeps peoples minds in that constant 7 day thinking cycle and 12 month thinking cycle. when i eliminated time i suddenly became the master of the universe

  • I really like this video and your thoughts professor, but just a question: What about childhood onset schizophrenia? What about when ur born schizophrenic? What could that be an expression of? A past-life trauma? I mean we're getting into things like reincarnation here... i'd really appreciate it if u could give ur opinions on this particular subject.. thank you..

  • I loved your videos ... thanks

  • I feel I need to go through a period of withdrawl right now, but the problem, or at least, I feel it to be a problem and have been told this repeatedly, is that I feel the need to withdrawl very often. It doesn't happen just once in a while, it happens several times a year.

So is there ever a time when you should just "buck up" and remain involved in the world, even when it seems to be killing you?

  • @QueenBoudiccea No, never.

  • Get on the Oprah Winfrey Show so you can get this stuff out to the close-minded, ignorant individuals of the world. Much smarter than Dr. Phil narcissist McGraw.

  • This was great. Thank you so much Dr. Breeding.

  • I like listening to him too. It makes me feel all, peaceful. Sane dude helping the insane.

  • I like listening to this dude.

  • Once you admit a fault within yourself, (like me admitting to girls my penis is 3” not 10”) suddenly there is a great release. You come to understand that crushing your own ego and vanity is difficult, but in order to learn more, it must be done. Your $hit stinks, and you bleed red, so stop convincing yourself you are a demi-god with some higher purpose. I don’t care what your Mom told you, you are not the next Messiah. Just grow up and be a man. Do some good for this world, it needs it!

  • What if suppression and mental upheaval are the same? Man is confined within a system that has deliberately separated him/her from the true system of nature and creation. A communal belief, and tribal loyalty is the main cause of a broken will inside humanity. Do you want to become a bee-hive cowering to a communal queen’s view of reality? Or individuals living in a world of true creativity and mental independence? The difference between coward and controller is up to you. Make that change now..

  • Would you agree that life's responsibilities make withdrawing not possible? And if so, should medication be used to aid in recovery? If not, what happens if withdrawal is necessary but not possible??

    Thank you :)

  • Numerous life traumas can cause individuals to reach a state of 'giving up', at which point is medication needed to encourage proactivity? How do you suppose someone who experiences anxiety and depression for a lengthy period, which disrupts every aspect of their life, deals with it? If it is not a disorder, but causes a lot of stress should it be treated with medication?

  • @MsLittlemissSarah No. This person needs to lighten up. That's all.

  • I agree with Dr. Breeding. We've bought the story that we should always be happy, happy, happy! If we are not--there must be something wrong. It's okay to sometimes experience sadness, grieving, disappointment, etc. Life is not perfect and a good friend is more helpful than drugs.

  • Think with your Brain, not your genitals

    is my advice.

  • I love what he says, but just the timbre of his voice is calming, like Xanax without the toxic qualities.

I went through a horrible crisis about 5 years ago. It took me a good three years to get out of the dark place I was in. But as horrible as it was, my consciousness has expanded in the way he described, and my life is on a new, better path. For the first time I'm starting to relate to other people in healthy, wholesome ways. This makes me believe that Dr. Breeding is spot-on accurate.

  • thanks so much!!

  • Thank you for your breath of fresh air! Sometimes, it's difficult not to get at war with your own feelings of anger and pain, and I for one, need to be reminded of this perspective. Shed a ray of light on a dark corner, and it's just corner when yer do! It's a shame that it's sooo taboo to feel sadness or anger sometimes in a world such as this one presently is! It would be a hard heart that didn't feel it at all for sure, and that in itself is a sad thing!

  • John you should be the new force in mental health. You are dead on and accurate. I'm sure you would reach much resistance though because the drug companies and mental health feild would lose tons of money...lol. People would get time off from work and life when they need it most and Corporate America would go beserk! But...you are absolutely right in what you say...and you r free on you tube. You should boot Dr.Phil though he has some good stuff...your perspective covers a wider range of things.

  • I have just gone through a long period of withdrawel...when I say withdrawel I have been functioning..going through the routine of what i'm supposed to do but not really being 'there'. I am reconnecting with myself but its scary and all about belief...taking a leap of faith, that you can reconnect, be myself....gonna take alot of willpower. Thanks for the vid Dr Breeding.

  • Dr. John Breeding I am always amazed of your wisdom of psychology and mental illnesses. What do you mean by "there's no guarentees" when you talk about coming out of innitiation in a new space. Does this mean there's a chance I could be in mental upheavel and emotional upheavel forever? lucky enough my feelings of not knowing what's up with what will go away? This frightens me

  • can I talk to u???

  • The views you express on psychology & psychiatry in your videos are absolutely fantastic - you make me see everything I've learnt about the two in a totally different way.

  • Here is one incredibly sane and helpful man who is well worth listening to..thanks for posting!

  • One's, only as sick as their secrets!

  • Dr. Breeding, you truly are an inspiration. Thanks again for another excellent video. Keep 'em coming, psychetruth!

  • When you spoke about the hero's journey and depression, I remembered an iclandic viking saga (they were about people that have existed). There was a man (viking) called Eigil Skallagrimsson, and he lost his son. After that he refused to get out of bed for a long time. But one day his daughter gave him a glass of milk, and he said: "What is this? I never drink milk! I only drink mjød! (beer)". Then he finally had it and got up, and "back to business" so to speak. That was about 1100 years ago :)

  • (I meant that he finally got annoyed and got out of bed... He didn't drink the glass of milk, of course)

  • Thanks John! I'd like to hear more about specific success stories. Learning about folks who have emotionally shut down in one way or another for a few years and then recovered. As a layperson with limited exposure to these situations, I know two people who are successful and happy after a few years of extreme behavior. Both recovered without neuroleptic drugs. Learning from you about more folks like this would be encouraging for those of us who want to practice natural healing.

  • thanks once again!!!

  • Another great video, please keep them coming, I look forward to each one.

  • Very good teachings... thanks!

  • indeed there is much about mental health care that can be improved. options, for one. medication can, of course have, it's place. an integrated approach seems ideal. i've experienced both caring for patients and had personal experiences with depression as well. seeing it from both perspectives inspires me to seek out and support that clients always have choices. health care sovereignty & with assistance, as needed and/or requested. i say that's a beautiful vision.

  • What a reasonable, rational and kind man. Clearly emotionally and intellectually intelligent. Also a person not looking for attention, but offering his time to compose and deliver growth-encouraging, releasing information. The fact is that 10 years ago, we would never have been able to punch in a few words and find materials like this one from Dr. Breeder. Ever make you wonder why we're more conneted these days?

  • PROFOUND!! 5/5 this video spoke to me deeply

  • Great ideas. "Go with the flow" makes a lot of sense. He explains it so clearly, and he's so quirky, his outbursts crack me up.

"So you reject that and try to be totally generous and giving all the time!!!!!!"

  • in all seriousness, excellent video! thank you for you and your work :)

  • I agree with CarlCPfeiffer. My daughter has autism and so a bit of OCD symptoms as well, just a few days into the GF/CF diet, No eggs, no corn, no soya including being off any food stuff with presevativess and coloring and the OCD, which is a symptom that is seen clearly for what it is, was gone! So yes I believe diet helps.

  • i agree. diet, exercise, and a healthy sleep cycle will do more for your mental health than all the government poisons they could ever pump into you.

about your daughter though... did you vaccinate her? i am curious about the link between mercury based preservatives in the vaccine shots and autism.

  • Yes, she got all her vaccines on time, except the MMR, which I believe would have sent her over the top. As it is if I can get the language going the rest would be a piece of cake. She is so well behaved, hardly if ever as any tantrums, and we can see we are heading to recovery.

  • He uses the word "analogous) - he pronounces the g as g, not j - is that right?

  • g before i or e = j, before a, o or u = g

  • and "i" before "e" except after "c." as in the examples of: receive:believe (o:

  • This is great. It's the first time I heard someone describe what happens in people frpm insults and degradation, the locking in and closing down, sort of like having your personality defaced and becoming unreal.

  • excellent - thank you

  • 5/5

  • Yes. I chose change and did learn and discover a lot about my Self as well as the world. Yes, I do have exciting things to share, but a diagnosis oft times equals "stupid" "lazy" Kay Jamison says "they just see no point as nobody will talk about it" refering to suicide and ignorance and stigma. I am isolating because the sad fact is the so called "mentally ill" are slandered and judged.

  • dorian8va, you have to leave those haters behind, you have to accept they are evil and be done with it. go another direction. you can do it.

  • I struggle with that most of the time, but I seem to be emerging from there into a better place- thank you for you're insight

  • I am moved by the video as if it was made for me will you please contact me so i can read your books

p.s. best you tube video I've seen so far

  • Overall I agree with you!But an OCD patient should not accept his possible evil thoughts! It would make him go mad! Orthomolecular treatment should be ALWAYS be the basis for psychological problems/illness.OFTEN toxins, nutritionmistakes and allergies are strong causes for these illnesses!

Why accepting depression over decades when all you need is a missing mineral(f.e.)?!

How do you explain seeing visions?Does the patient has an overactive fantasy or is he maybe a possible mercury toxication?!?

  • i dont know what to say..thanks and godbless you..your doing a great thing,keep it up :)

  • Hey, thanks for this! It really made sense. You're doing a good thing here.

  • Have you heard the *government* actually (*codex Alimentarius*) plan to make nutreints illegal? Look it up.....

  • i heard fluoride can cause ADD and ADHD. and from studies. i belive it and wont never change my mind. i kills brain cells and lowers the IQ of ur children. and lots more.

  • This was good.Back 15 years ago I went into depression, psych doctors loaded me up with drugs and told me I'd be on them for life.I went thru lots of transformation and eventually (5 years)got of all meds and let my mind sort it self out.I've been new and improved with no meds and no depression for 10 years.

  • This guy reminds me of a hippie named "electric" that I used to talk to in the park back in the 70's when I was just a kid. I remember walking away feeling happy after I talked with him although I didn't understand half of what he was saying.

  • My head hurts.

  • NO breasts in the thumbnail! I am SHOCKED! :D

  • The best choice you can make about Life is to Live it to the max you are capable of rather than to withdraw or avoid living and experiencing by using society's proffered vias and spiritual crutches. If you are unwilling to experience pain you are avoiding Life. Pleasure awaits just to the other side of painful experience.

  • your beard is small and will never cause me to let my guard down to the persians!

  • comment HALL OF FAME nominee!

  • I agree... I have been diagnosed with Anxiety Disorder, NOS. But I was sexually abused in my own home for a while and didn't tell anybody, and it created a lot of fear in me. I have a new counselor who called it Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, which I like a lot better, because it takes the blame off me and my body and puts it where it belongs: on the person who hurt and terrorized me. Thanks for your awesome vid. :-)

  • I completely agree with you. People should be left to be depressed and they will figure it out when they are ready. Are you speaking out of experience? I'm curious..

  • How long should you let them be depressed; a few days, a few weeks, a month or a few years?

  • but how do we help these people help themselves? What if they want to hurt themselves or others?

Prevention is the best cure, and I like what he says here!

  • yah psychetruth is way better than illumistream

  • Thank You!

  • A ray of sunshine.

This guy doesn't use titillation to rack up views. Leave that to illumistream.

  • Illuminstream gets the views in one day that I get in a months in some cases.

Unfortunately, titillation works and helps get you notices. Afterwards, the information in the videos either speaks for itself or it doesn't.
