  • These brainless douchebags at the CDF&G just don't want to admit they made a mistake putting the ferrets on the prohibited list in the first place. In fact they at one time admitted they had no jurisdiction over domesticated animals, but still refuse to legalize them, even though ferrets are not wild animals. But they protect introduced species like wild boar, who eat ground nesting birds and are far more destructive then millions of ferrets.

  • ok seriously jst give us the fucking ferrets if it will kill us than it is out problem.

  • wow I cannot BELIEVE the arrogance and just plain ignorance this man showed towards your brave campaign to legalize the harmless and loving ferret! THANK YOU for leading the Ferret Crusades!

  • The funny thing is, you literally can't drive 25 feet in a car without breaking some law. Literally speaking. There are many, MANY ferrets in CA. If the F & G thought they were so dangerous, all they would have to do is arrange a meeting with all the craigslist ferret sellers. One has to really wonder why they are on the list ONLY in CA and HI(states). Does the ferret suddenly become less dangerous in Oregon? I would agree if it were a true wild animal, like racoon, but these are domestics.

  • arnold schwarzenegger had a ferret while he was governor of california

but the citizens can't have one

    Bullshit!

  • go get em Pat!!!! F&G - what a bunch of ignorant arrogant snots

  • Isn't there someone who is above those (I apologize) "I don't give a fuck, I said no, get out of here" suckers, in front of whom, may be a lawyer can talk and if they care a little bit more about people and have more brains, may be they will legalize ferrets?!

  • Maybe we should put them in a room full of ferrets, then they'd see what wonderful pets they make!

  • @lookslikejessica Interesting idea . I doubt most of them have ever had any experience with ferrets at all.

  • @theXJ - as you obviously know nothing of ferrets and you're posting on a pro ferret video, is it so hard for you to believe someone might take the time to try and educate you on the subject matter ?

  • dont get me wrong...i like the things but dont they breed like rabbits?

  • @TheXJthatCould I'm going to presume you mean if they got out would they establish a feral population? Short answer, no. Almost all ferrets in the US are spayed and neutered before sales. In addition to that the ferret has been so domesticated most ferrets that do get out of the home will die within a few days from exposure and/or starvation/lack of water if they are not taken in by a kind hearted individual.

In the 47 states where ferrets are legal there is no feral population.

  • @greyed yes or no question...not an essay question could have just said no....

  • The Grovernment at it's best, and to think people like Jim Kellogg repersent the people of California. He would do something if it meant a raise for him. Jerry Brown siadthat we have to make cuts. Maybe we should start from the top.

  • I am not sure what more you expected. You started with a picture of yourself with a ferret - clearly flaunting the current laws of this state. That's never an effective method to change the minds of the institution.

Also, with all due respect, finding a better speaker would be beneficial. I have been following your actions, I know the facts, I'm a big supporter of ferret legalization, but even I couldn't follow your presentation. I doubt the commission heard anything.

  • what a fucking dick, i wouldve smacked him, his arrogance was not needed, like he had a stick up his ass! >:(

  • Its like talking to a brick wall.

  • I encourage everyone to contact the California Fish and Game commission at: fgc@fgc.ca.gov

  • Jim Kellogg needs to be fired. The ferret issue in California has gone on long enough, he is costing the State of California more money each year than his yearly salary. It is clear that Jim Kellogg is not going to acknowledge Legalize Ferrets or give them due process of law. This is now an issue for the legislature and very possibly a lawsuit against the State of California. Legalize Ferrets now needs to spend its time and resources seeking other options.

  • That jerkface diddn't even answer the question! No one will even look at the EIR report. I can't beleive that their ignoring the state's economic losses. I do not live in California, and I support ferret legalization, but the bigger issue is that the govt wont listen to it's employers.

  • Legalize Ferrets deserves your next charitable donation to an animal cause.

  • And this is a perfect example of why our system sucks.

  • I liked the part about the ferrets.

  • I bet pretty soon we'll be seeing some Wikileaks connecting ferrets, this meeting, and Al Qaeda.
