my grandad was porching an egg a while ago in milk. I was what the?! I said aren't they usually done in water and he said milk porched eggs are better so next time I have egg I'm gonna give it a whirl!

As a kid, my Grannie always made me regular poached egg on toast whenever I spent the night at her place. It always brings warm feelings when I fix it, and now I have to try this alteration to the traditional treat. Thanks!

I never thought of poaching an egg in milk.  Poached egg on toast is one of my favourite meals. Will try it.
