  • Like this if you're listening in 6000 BC and you have no idea what the heck this is.

  • Esto pertenece a las Cantigas de Alfonso X el Sabio. Es la cantiga 166 ''Como poden per sas culpas"

    Es un sonido maravilloso.

  • lol everyone is saying that medieval ages were bad,i agree.but people dont think of that middle ages they think about things they saw on tv dragons queens adventures and everything.dont u understand.

  • @DrawingInHeart Of course their were no dragons, but there were also no medicins, you died when you reached the age of 40, everyone was poor (except for the nobility), there was almost no culture and science to improve life and there was always the threat that a war broke out. So yeah, the middle ages were pretty fucked up.

  • plague will be coming soon.....prepare!!!

  • Who the fuck would dislike this?

  • @florin2oo9 stupidass people

  • Very cool drums coming around 0:47

  • the unique bad thing in mevieval era, was God

  • Mmmm yeah......I've always enjoyed the oldies.

  • The Medieval is definately my favourite era :) It was such a magical time :)

  • Templars <3

  • epic

  • This makes me feel ridiculously happy inside, but I can't explain why... <3 Now THIS is what music should do to us. :D

  • @mynameistofu4 there are 399 more Cantigas like this, so feel ridiculously happy for life!

  • Comparing this to the music people listen to today, I just can't figure out what went wrong.

  • @294Robo294 The people Ideas went wrong : /

  • @294Robo294 Same, today's music is shit and fail. Random loud beats...

  • @WarlordXVI Its a shame that today what we call it music is just these craps eletronics musics..

  • @MrJvsas Hey there's a very wide spectrum of electronic music I don't think its really fair to label all of it "craps". I mean I suppose you could really dislike all of it but I highly doubt that. There is even some electronic music that bases itself in stuff like this.

  • @Sporkflips yes,but well, not ALL eletronics musics are craps, but there are some of them that are really shitty.

  • I think of Ranger's Apprentice when I hear this.

  • I play this song at the pub when I tell the tales of my conquests to my friends

  • 5 persons dont apreciate the medieval music -_-

TUMPS UP IF YOU LIKE THIS MUSIC

  • like this if youre listening in 1491

  • @BluesZeppRO Duhhh :p

  • @BluesZeppRO i wish i was listening this in 1491 i was about 800 years to late i belong in the time of knights castles and kings not justin beiber and twilight

  • @rickyirishman You and me both. I always had a feeling I was born in the wrong time zone.

  • @LadyAzelas Believe me, the middle ages was harsh times. You should be happy you live in the second and not the first millennium, it would have been a nightmare for you. Look at the facts: war, plagues, low life expectancy, low nutrition levels.

  • @13barnifamilein Yes they were harsh times with lots of pain, and dom fighting, but the music was so very beautiful and also the dancing of that period was lovely.

  • @13barnifamilein

And in a thousand years, they'll say, be happy you weren't born in 2011. How did they survive with such dull and primitive medicine and technology?

  • @eaglewings8 ha they even cooked their food with radiation... HA

  • @BluesZeppRO over 600 years in the charts can't be that bad lol!!

  • I love this song since I heard it on The Tudors. Great version!

  • like if you like liking

  • Id like to buy this album, but its so hard to find :(

  • A thousand thank you's for posting this! I have been looking for Medieval music since I was 12. I finally found it! Cheers mate to beautiful music!

  • like if you heard this in 1485

  • i know medieval times were fucked up, but who the hell doesnt grow up imagining "OMG i want to be a knight when i grow up!" id give up the fear for my life and live as a crusading knight, fuck all this modern life bullshit

  • @karkrashful Hahaha, then you'd burn for Heresy. :D

  • Don't fool yourselves, those were harsh times.

    Love the music, though.

  • @SpayRescueNeuter not that kind of time,i was thinking maybe if there were dragons and knights,,,u know like in the movies, that would be awesome

  • I WISH WE CAN ALL GO BACK TO THAT TIME.!

  • @DrawingInHeart OH yes my friend in the good old Medieval Times

  • @FryAndy knights and horses, kings and queens...nature castels and journeys....it would be awesome

  • @DrawingInHeart the good old time i miss the time so

  • @FryAndy

You don't miss it. You never lived it.

  • @riddleman65 I know, but i miss the medieval time

  • @FryAndy

You wouldn't miss it when you're working 16 hour days and die at 30. Also, most of your family will probably die of disease. I love the medieval period as much as the next guy, especially the music, but it's called the dark ages for a reason.

  • @riddleman65 yeah there was no electricity thats why

  • @schenkelbart88 haha lol

  • @riddleman65 The Dark Ages was the time before Medieval - as in, king Arthur, and also the time between the Romans and the Normans in 1066 - I think. But yes, life was short and hard then, most

especially for those who weren't wealthy.

  • @lindy3loo

Dark Ages encompasses the middle ages until the enlightenment.

  • @riddleman65 Historians don't use the term "Dark Ages" anymore. And if they did, it would be in terms of pre-Norman invasion of England. The Medieval era had nothing to do with the "Dark Ages".

  • @DrawingInHeart Me too, be really really interesting

  • Almost every comment on here says that people want this life. Whats stopping us from having it? Why cant we take the good things from that era and bring them to this one? Why cant we merge the cultures to make something magnificent? Im being serious here!

  • @EleganceUntamed Nothing can stop us, and I'm also serious. Actually as I'm writing this comment my elbow aches after some hours of javelin-throwing practice ;)

  • @Jupitarius Dude what the fuck xD

  • @Jupitarius Dont worry , you're not the only sperm :D

  • @Jupitarius im the glint in the milkmans eye and i dont give a fuck

  • 5 people are serfs

  • I slap peasants to this music. >:D

  • @kirby28645 lmfao

  • it could be a cool bridge section in a song..somewhere ....i think...maybe not...maybe so...maybe... i really dont know....

  • like if you are listening in 2011

  • @xxMiSsgUrLxx That is the only time I've liked that comment

  • Alright thats it. Im off to find a magical land where this music plays 24/7. Im so sick of 98.2% of all the other crap they play today. Would anyone care to join me? The ship sails at dawn!

  • @EleganceUntamed I will gladly come along if you haven't left already:)

  • @EleganceUntamed And we're off!

Did we bring enough food and water for the trip, Captain? I can't remember...

  • Like if you're listening to this in 1264 A.D.!

  • @sickel101

11 people are time travelers :P

  • Oh my god, that drum!!!!

  • @FelixFelisis Dat Drum.

  • Its a shame music like this isn't that popular.. I love the sound.. and try to see if its available somewhere online, or in stores and no.. And yet all that hip-hop pop garbage hits everywhere.. Man.. music lost its original purpose...

  • Hi! How can I have the score?

  • I smack peasants to this music. >:D

  • Imagine what it would have been like to be a "touring musician" back then. Probably a lot less glamorous. :P

  • @stevej71393 And more dangerous...

  • This music is truly blissful, I think this should be played everywhere, :( so sad that this music has been forgotten, but not by us, O brothers, not by us.

  • I think this was written by Alphonse X El Sabio, isn't it?

  • @rosten736 Well, it's credited to him as composer, but whether it really is his composition, no one knows. Kings could do that back then...

  • A shame how people nowadays forgot where are beloved art of music comes from and discard medieval, baroque, classical, romantic and even some great modern music and just listen to shallow, mindless, repetitive shit on the radio that I will not even call music.

  • @Alexander87oclock What a pretentious asshole you are.

  • @JoshIsNumber3 How is anything I have said being pretentious? Are you offended of my opinion? Why don't you say it too someone who actually gives shit. And there is truth to what I am saying. If you don't like it, then go fucking cry somewhere else with your untalented "music." Bitch.

  • I prefer the LIL WAYNE version of this

  • 5 are muslims

  • @Lilycha100 and one is ignorant...

  • :46 DRUM SOLO!!!

  • This is how music should sound like..

  • @edurcp Music sounds however you want it to sound. There's no standard for how music SHOULD sound. There's no right or wrong kind of music, any more than there are right or wrong clothes.

  • I love this music.

  • For an exciting viking novel, try Sigurd's Saga on YouTube!

  • This is what i call real music.

  • @Jupitarius I love thsese kinds of music...so lyricless...so pure...you can basically inject your own interpretation into it...and make your own living and breathing world just by listening to tunes such as above.

  • @navigationsavionics Hear hear!

  • @Drsatan9 Hear Hear indeed! Main stream music contains no essence except materialism and trash. Id rather listen to this pure tune. All the best and take care! =)

  • @navigationsavionics your very right my friend!

  • belleza musical

    armonia celestial

    al combate!

    luchar y vencer al demonio!!!

  • love it!!i just whant to be in those times..

  • @pogo1366 The music is beautiful. Trust me you don't want to live in those times. Especially not if you don't have any Royal blood. It would be so different. In those days (talking about 13th 'n 14th century) there was NO hygiëne. Everything in the Middle Ages is Romanticised by hollywood etc. If you read old manuscripts you'll see that those days were really hard to live in. But still, the music is BEAUTIFUL

  • @5233959 yes i know that was no hygine ,and all that stuff..but the people in those times were so simple.and yes the music is amazing

  • @5233959 Unfortunately, that is really not true. Modernity did a phenomenal job in the past 200 years or so of demonizing the Middle Ages. The idea of this dark, backwards, ignorant, plague-infested, filthy society lorded over by filthy, ignorant, and backwards lords and kings is completely crafted by secular Moderns. If you actually study the Middle Ages (ie. read the accounts of those who lived in the time itself) you find that their societies were remarkably sophisticated.

  • @stridertex Dont worry my friend...I do not demonize the middle ages...In fact I do believe that some of the aspects that makes modern life possible was fouded by people back in the middle ages. One more thing friend. I love courtesy, honor, and all chivalric values that goes alongside those classical times, sadly all the honor, courtesy, and chivalry died with the bubonic plague of the middle ages. How I wish the olden days were here.

  • @5233959 And it makes sense - how is it that a civilization that gave the world Chartes Cathedral, The Summa, Magna Carta, and so much more that still persists today (despite all our "modern" barbarism) not even know to practice basic hygiene? Modernism hated the Middle Ages simply because it stood for everything modernity sought to rebel against - a society founded on Faith and the belief that our earthly lives weren't all there was and we all would answer to a Higher Power.

  • I'm a twinkle in my father's eye and it shocks and saddens me to think other light reflecting off stuff can't appreciate this music

  • Awesome Music, Awesome images, thanks for share..

  • this is awesome! i need to find more music like this

  • @Jupitarius what a cleaver sperm...

  • In the Middle Ages they would burn people like Justin Beaver.

So who said that everything was bad then?

  • 4 people gave a thumb down.

    Why the hell?

When I think about the psycho who did it ... I'm bursting from laughter:)

  • hmmmm more Early Music Goodness... Beautiful.

  • And why isn't this played at disco?

  • @Ping653 Seriously, its from around the same time. :P

  • @Ping653 this would rock!

  • @AxierNigromante Indeed it would!

  • @Ping653 cause if this kind of songs were played at discos and clubs, discos and clubs would be called inns and djs would be called bards xD

  • @Ping653 Because disco's dead.

  • @Ping653 My class are studying "Castles" at the moment, and I'm planning a medieval disco for the end of term where I'll be playing this

    !

  • @Ping653 dont be silly ! ha ha but good thinking though

  • @Ping653

I think there must be special Medieval roleplay things with music like this

  • @Ping653 Would be friggin awesome

  • i completely understand why people listen to other music than this.

  • Ok, stop this sarcasm, people. There are 5 comments of the same kind in this page and I think it is more than enough. Let's just enjoy the music and let live the rest of mankind, no matter how exclusive, weird, nerd or whatever they may seem to our eyes. At least we have something in common: we all like medieval music! So we cannot be so different.

  • @Davccelion That's not something a medieval man would say. BURN IN RIGHTEOUS FLAME, YE FOUL BEAST FROM EVIL LANDS UNTOLD! HEARKEN UNTO THE STING OF MINE WORDS! BEGONE, SWINE! BEGONE!

  • @krackhed999 You forgot to call him a milky-eyed knave and question his parentage, good sir.

  • I am 3 and i can play this on the piano.

  • I'm 3 months old and i can't believe some people like to listen to mainstream music like Justin Bieber

  • Why is there no public radio station dedicated to this music?

  • @PianoMasta7 National Public Radio (NPR) will usually play something like this on a particular program if you listen for it.

  • @PianoMasta7 Because they like to brainwash people into listening to mainstream crap

  • I like Justin Bieber and I like this one too. Why so exclusive? :)

  • I've just borned and I CAN'T FREAKING BELIEVE that the other babies in the maternity home are listening to this WHORE Justin Bieber...
