So yeah, the middle ages were pretty fucked up.

In those days (talking about 13th 'n 14th century) there was NO hygiëne. Everything in the Middle Ages is Romanticised by hollywood etc. If you read old manuscripts you'll see that those days were really hard to live in. But still, the music is BEAUTIFUL

@5233959 Unfortunately, that is really not true. Modernity did a phenomenal job in the past 200 years or so of demonizing the Middle Ages. The idea of this dark, backwards, ignorant, plague-infested, filthy society lorded over by filthy, ignorant, and backwards lords and kings is completely crafted by secular Moderns. If you actually study the Middle Ages (ie. read the accounts of those who lived in the time itself) you find that their societies were remarkably sophisticated.
