@simontimon2 You're so lucky. Trade school is the way to go, but it's rarely being pushed by our media. You spend a fraction of your time at a trade school than you do at a regular college. You won't waste half of your twenties there like you would in college either.
We have more cause for revolution today than we did to rebel against tyrants back in the 20th century. We have nothing to lose, with great violence & bloodshed a greater tomorrow will come. Over throw the government now.
we need to raise the debt ceiling 3.5-4.0 trillion and spend half that building superstores (walmart, dicks sporting goods, guitar center, and freds) and another 20% on mom and pap stores and fast food chains.
because that would produce millions of jobs at $8.00 and the unemployment rate would plummet to nearly nothing compared to todays and they could do that in five years.
I'm all for tax cuts, but if you make it so young workers are tax free, all the older workers that have it rough as things are will be out the very next day if it ever happened.
USA has two million open higher-education jobs. The problem is that many Americans are not studying the right subjects. USA needs more engineers, medical processionals, scientists, and researchers not people with majors in English, History, and the Social Sciences. I am not insulting these majors, I'm just saying that people who study them have to know that the job market is poor for these careers. USA has to improve its science/math curriculum, to increase people studying the right subjects.
@RedNorthern What the hell are you talking about? The science and medical market is already satiated. Everyone business needs marketing and human resources experts: business is still a good area to specialize in. Engineering and computer software programming is also huge but who the hell wants to do that??? Only a selective minority of people.
I'm 20 years old and was forced to quit high school due to its pointless merit based systems. I have sent out over 100+ applications all around NW Indiana and to this day I haven't had 1 phone. And don't think of me as just another drop out idiot. I have been forced to self educate my self due to the short comings if Indiana's edu. system that is dominated by Right wing politics whose only interest is in turning a profit instead of providing the students with they opportunities that they want.
@Phenixtri My point is that I have no solid future for me. If I had it my way I would have focused all my efforts into Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (Algebra, Trigonometry, exc.) and History for good measure. After that my college ambitions were to attend either MIT or Cal Tech to furthermore continue to research the possible use of Hydrogen based Plasma as a viable clean energy source on par with that of a Plutonium based Nuclear reactors. I also have a great interest in Hydrogen Fuel cells.
@Phenixtri By your writing I would say you did a pretty good job of educating yourself and actually calling high school these day's an education is a joke. They don't try to educate anymore, they are promoting clones and repeater's to manipulate and serve the system. This whole destruction from education to the work market is and has been done by complete design. Hang in there and be thankfull that because you left HS you escaped with a working mind...;)
you know a good way to take care of student loans? make higher education a right to those who want it and provide a better way to get a degree without having to choose between loans and debt, or the military and death.
It is evident that a solution will not come from shifting responsibility around as it is being done - The fact is that our financial and political systems are build on the acceptance of inequality through competition - justified as "free trade" and "trickle down" - with everyone is waiting for it to be their turn - except their turn never comes because the "game" was rigged from the start with only a few are set up to win. The solution is a new system of Equality where all supports all - E.M.S!
@Ristar85 That's just the way they're making it out here. It's getting to the point that you won't be able to find a job unless you work for the government.
I think if Obama/Bush had not bailed out banks at the expense of tax payers or started needless wars things would be much better, but Alas the charlatans and their supporters screwed over everyone
He's incorrect taxes at the federal level pay for nothing. The Federal Reserve receives the money's in payment for loaning the government it's money supply rather than the gov printing their own. As a nation the US will soon be no longer reconizeable as it's past self as far as inventiveness and work ethic. It took 50 years for the gov and corporations to greedly take all and leave the working class and the country in dire straits. It will take at least as long to recover.
@enlightened58 100% correct, if you cut the income tax you would not be cutting any services. The income tax pays for and only for the interest on the money our Government borrows from the Federal Reserve. However, if we did decide to cut the income tax for younger people, do you really think the Federal Reserve would let legislation pass that would cut out a huge amount of their profits? No.
@enlightened58 Fuck that... let it crush and burn. I'm not going to wait my whole life for this load of crap to recover. If they cant fix it then they better reinvent it. I dont think Americans are going to take this to much longer. If they keep raising taxes then I hope people revolt and and bring this corrupt system down. I am no mans slave and niether are you. This is rediculose!
@synn1980 I agree synn. We are going to have to respond soon before it's too late. But I was wrong about it taking as long to recover as it did for them to sneakly take the business away. They had to slowly kill the economy so as to avoid the obvious and promote open revolt. We could restore our nation in a very short time with all on the same page. It's all a cheap monopoly game and as in monopoly a cheating banker wins everytime. Time to fire the bankers eh..;)
just to show the quality of the overpriced education system

Why did he bother interviewing the guy or bringing him on as a guest if he was going to interrupt & lecture him the whole time?
One more thing...take into account the illegal immigrants & the increase of bilingual requirements for customer service jobs.

there's always enough money in the USA government to fund wars, undermine non-friendly governments, install dictatorships, manipulate puppets, etc.
