  • just found you awesome setup you have there...love it! I rase Rabbits and Chickens in the City. Those pigs look adorable!

  • Hey, lookin' good girl! Long time no see:).Snow looks pretty,we rarely get any here, just a dusting or two.Unless its on the mountains. We've had tornado warnings 3 times this winter.I worked outside the past two days in short sleeves .Rosemary & sage have really grown! They look so good.Ordering more seeds here too.Already have onions up(in south window). It's like Christmas, looking through seed catalogs. Planning what will I try this year:)?!Not much knitting here, but ALOT of crocheting.

  • Its really good of you to share your resorces, its a pity there aren't more people like you

    All the very best

  • Enjoyed the update, we sure have had a mixed bagged of weather here in Michigan, I'm enjoying the warmer temps.

  • Hi there, glad to see a video from you and you are looking great! You are so kind to share your garden space w/other people. You do have a handsome rooster! Those Icelandics are pretty. Do you plan on eating the pigs from those breeding two? I was wondering because they look like a small breed. Wouldn't you want a huge hog for meat?

  • sorry to bother you again but where did you buy you vege bins you have in the chicken coop ive been looking for some like them that size and i cant find any. thank you and love your videos and all your information you share.

  • Wow.your're looking fabulous.

  • omg the piggys are darling! and you are not an idiot for talking baby talk to your critters. Anybody that loves their animals does the same thing! So I'm an idiot too!!

  • love the idea of gardening with girl friends........kinda like quilting in the old days. You go pioneer girl. We are getting our pullets in March, I'm so excited!

  • Barred Rocks seem to be a very long lived breed. Your the fourth person I have heard of that has some that over six years old. Sorry you lost two of your younger hens.

As for Lester, after the apocalypse happens their will be two things left on the earth, Cockroaches and.......a peeved off Lester :)

  • Yay! I thought our chicken coop was the only one with cobwebs! :-)

  • thank you so much for the update. it is really good to see your video....i have missed ya this winter....glad everything is going good. love your hair like that.

  • won't it be hard to love the parents and still eat their children? ew...lol...I realize the practicalities likely require that path, but I'm tellin ya, if I had them, loved them, I'd end up fixing them or having a busload of piggies LOL...all w/names

  • Your pigs are looking really good! Ummmm if metals are being dumped on your head it must reach the ground also. Why not get a soil analysis of your own. Of course, then what? Oh! I know......move next door to me. :) NC lol! Can't bring the the funky clouds with you though! LOVE your videos...please don't wait till spring to do more...I will go through MSP DTs again!!! :)

  • A lady I sub to, TheMrsVolfie, she feeds pumpkin to her rabbits. and she is taking "delivery" of their first two pigs tomorrow...I said what will you name them, are you going to have anaming contest? lol..but unlike yours hers are destined for the smoker. Ahhh snow..sigh I miss it, Friends in Harrison got their 1st good accumulation out the same storm as yours. Thanks so much for the updates and the walk around the place. Makes me homesick! lol ~Woodsy~ like garden partners idea too.

  • So glad to receive the update!

Your hens are beautiful birds! We have found additional lighting increases egg production for our girls too. However when our hens get to pulling one anothers feathers out, to the point where large patches of bare skin are exposed. It's a sign it's time to shorten their day light hours due to "chicken stress".Guess Like us working overtime takes it's toll on them too.

The pigs are looking mighty fine.Your doing a great job and are such an inspiration!

    Take Care

  • Your weather is being manipulated..We found 20,000 ppm aluminum 60,000 ppm barium and an unknown bacteria in air, water and soil analysis from College Station Texas...If you look up you can see clouds that aren't clouds, they're metals and their being dumped right over your head. These metals can be heated with electromagnetic radiation, such as cell phone towers or the High Altitude Auroral Research Project equipment (30,000,000 watts) and there are several base stations...WAKE UP ALREADY..

  • @TheRiceowlex Okay, I'm awake. Now, what should I /we do about / with this information? Everyone likes to sound alarms, but no one points to the exits . . . .

  • @TheRiceowlex Most everyone watching these vids is wide awake.

  • loved the update. all the animals are just so cute and i'm so glad to hear that when those two does are retired that you are going to let them live out a happy rest of their lives. good job, keep up the good work.

  • Very generous of you to share your garden space and pass on the knowledge to become self-sufficient. Those piglets really have grown! I cannot recall, did you tell us what breed they were in a previous video?

  • Love your videos. Keep 'em coming. I fantasize about having my own homestead...probably never happen with my job, but one can dream:)

  • I could not eat a baby of a pig that I named I just could not I do eat pork and I would do it if I had to. They are so cute! How big are they going to get?

  • That's great your able to share your garden with friends! :) All the critters are looking great to! We finally got a good snow storm today, you can hardly see outside. But it's going to rain in a few days. lol Crazy year.

  • I love tour free range rooster he is a Salmon Faverol right. If I spelled it right.

  • what a beautiful idea to share your garden - looking forward to seeing how it works out. Thanks so much for the update, stay warm :)

  • I love watching those pigs!

  • love your rooster and chickens , what are the containers your using for your nests and where did you get them please they look perfect for that. have you got them tied together some way so they dont get knocked down?

  • @gettinready100 They're stacking vege bins which we have screwed to the wall. They DO work really well (and were cheap!)

  • awwwww the pigs are soooooo cute

  • Durn good idea sharing the garden with friends :) As far as being glad the snow is here......I think we had the same storm here in Winnipeg Manitoba. But we never look forward to it as we usually get a "LOT" more snow then anyone else. I was wanderin g seeing as how close you are to neighbours all around you Do you ever let the chickens free range??

And like the grey hound Did you come out of hibernation to see if your shadow was out?

    Dave

  • WoW, those two roosters are beautiful!! It's so good to catch up w/you and your mini-farm!! I have an unused large dog crate and thinking of getting some rabbits as soon as winter's past. If you make goat cheese, pls make a video. Can you use pigmy goats for milk?

  • Happy New Year! Everything and everyone looks fabulous! Thanks so much for the fun update - you've been missed!

  • What would we do if you stopped making videos Rene...(I hope I spelled your name right!) Wonderful update! I've heard that the Icelandic hens go broody pretty easily, so perhaps your hens might raise some future meat birds in the spring for you!

  • Keep that snow up there!!

  • you probably said but what breed are the pigs?

  • Your husband is a lucky man.

  • Wow a foot? Only got a about an inch in Holly.
