  • You've just shit all over my childhood sir...prepare to meet your doom.

  • i dont think anyone noticed but if you use the heatman power (dont remember name) and have it fully charged on the first form of dr.wily's machine you can take it down with one hit. After that you will have to use metal blade still because heat doesnt work on second form.

  • I love how the fat robot thing disappears at 5:43. It doesn't even seem to be a rare occurrence.

  • I really want to try out some of these glitches... Lol but I love watching these TAS videos, they just make games seem somewhat new by looking at ways developers usually didn't think would be done. Lol

  • 6:12 he beat airman! take that i can't beat air man video!

  • take damage, save time...

  • Great tas one of my favorites

  • His name's Bubble Man, and he's got something to say.

    Too bad we didn't listen.

  • Megaman wavedashed at about 1:30

  • Any particular reason for dying at the very end of some fights other than for show?

  • @Sokobansolver

Your Y position is higher so you can save a few frames.

  • isnt it strange how woodman and airman are supereffeective against eachother?

  • @TheForgottenMarioBro

Woodman is weak to Heatman's weapon. Airman's weapon is used because it can go through the leaf shield with the glitch used in the TAS.

  • where can i find the music that starts at 15:27 or what's its name?

  • its called megaman 2 wilys castle theme stage 1 and 2 if you didnt get

  • kk thanks

  • For all Megaman 2/Rockman 2 TAS lovers i would check out the new improved run.

The new glitch discovered on Woodman´s stage are incredible, i dont want to spoil anything.....but it was incredible

  • You rocked rockman xD

  • LOL @ Metalman.

  • Clashman was awesome xD

  • bubbleman's stage had me so very confused.

  • Ha! I love how you beat Heatman just as you were dying. One question, though: how is it faster to get hit by the jumpy froggy thingies than to kill 'em?

  • By getting hit by the jumping frogs he gains brief invincibility which allows him to zip through the spikes on the ceiling unharmed. If he would kill them, he'd not be able to zip through the ceiling. :)

  • poor Metal Man...killed by his own weapon

  • Is there a possibility that the game can freeze because of these gliches

  • no but performing most of them on a regul\ar console is ludacrously hard so i wouldnt try them anyway

  • Yeah especially since most of these glitches must be perform on the exact frame, thats where frame advance comes in handy.

But some of them can be performed on real console too.

But the new glitch descovered on Woodmans stage seems impossible to perform, looks even hell hard to perform even with frame advance and save states.

  • Poor leaf in woodmans stage!

  • at the beggining those 2 1-ups was that luck manipulation or just random drop?

  • How the hell do people keep fucking with those games until the games are like completely out of their mind wrecked and a shadow of themselves ..I don't get it.

Still it's SO amusing to look at it.

  • The clashman stage was epic

  • I like this vid...also, the Megaman 3,4,5,6 at once...epic.

  • jesus christ you beat heatmans stage so easily D:

  • he beat all the stages so easily :P

  • yeah but heatmans stage is so annoying I cant beat it without dying at the parts where you jump to avoid lava D:

  • it is a TAS you know, if he didn't it would be a bad TAS

  • Are you implying that there is such a thing as a brain that can handle a TAS like this?

  • 16:37 Did he just screen-transition the fuck out of both himself and the dragon? What the hell, screen transition into a screen that doesn't even exist. This TAS boggles the mind! This is the kind of stuff I wank to, they're fucking RAPING the game. And I love it.

Ok, I don't wank to this, but still. Everything else I said is true.

  • Someone should tell the creator of this TAS about the Air-Man Stage glitch where you go to Wily's Castle Stage 2 (or was it 3?)

  • god the music is sick in this game

  • It's my 3rd favorite game soundtrack all time

  • Lol, airman died so quickly :)

  • Yep, and I loved how dark it was yet he was still beastly in QuickMan

  • In Flashman, couldn't he havesaved time going right at 0:42?

  • I think it's those wiggly factories that make it slower.

  • No that is the quickest way to flashman, even with losing frames where he takes damage.

This tas was very well planed from the beginning to end, most things known to MM2 which saves time was used to max.

Especially since lua bot was used to find the fastest way possible.

But there probably are things you can do to save time, always new glitches which might save some time.

  • Nope.

  • that thing when he fights heatman happened to m once and i dont know how i did it (the double KO glitch and you win)

  • 20:00 Epileptic Seizure gold mine.

  • How can he post so long videos?

  • People that joined before the 11 minute time limit happened can post longer videos.

  • But this was posted 01 May 2009, the 11 minute was implemented in 2008.

  • If you joined BEFORE the time the 11 minute time limit happened, it doesn't matter how long the video is or when it was uploaded.

  • Oh cool, then I can do it too? ^^

  • If you had a director account and had made videos back in 06, yes.

  • it's probably a few frames faster than having to choose d:

  • 4:05 wtf your dead!

  • having that glitch is slightly faster than surviving

  • hmm...the whole platform rising into the ceiling and getting a turbo boost, thats essentially the same idea in backwards long jumping in super mario 64, right?

  • I can't decide if it's that or the scrolling the screen from a diferent side than intended that is most related to backwards long jump, but in its essence, yes. Reply for more in-depth explanations of my thoughts if you want them :P

  • XD don't worry, we all do it. ;D

  • Are any of you guys gonna do Megaman 3,4,5,6,7,etc?

  • @shadowGIBBONS

Go see tasvideos . org ,there is a lot of runs.

    I liked 2:57 9:05 ,really impressive.

  • @hateWinVista Ok thanks, 10 months later lolz. XD

  • @shadowGIBBONS

    55 seconds of reply

  • OMG DO AIR-FLASH-QUICK-METAL-BUBBLE-HEAT-CRASH-WOOD OR U TEH SUX

not really because I can't even do that without save stating constantly. 5*

  • Umm, that's pretty much what this is.

  • how exactly does one "co-author" a TAS? They play one room each and cut them together or summat?

  • >summat

    learn English

  • You should learn slang and colloquially used terms or summat, srsly.

  • But anyway, I think the authors can pass around the movie file and do certain parts they know best.

Or it could be that one thinks of ideas on what to do, and the other does it all. I think it's more of the former though.

  • Yeah, but it's still nice to have States-saves to do it.

  • 16:35 - 16:40

    O_O

  • Dragon: OH NOES! Megaman is glitching again! *commits suicide*

    Megaman: >:D OWNT!

  • my mind just broke O.o

  • You're not alone... TASes never sieze to amaze me.

  • Crash Man: Aw, stuck in the ground, Mega Man? Not gonna beat me this ti- WHAT THE?!?

  • Holy shit that was awesome!!!!

  • Why does it say played by 4 people? Did they all play a part each, or did one do the playing, and someone else did the savestates, or something like that?

  • correct me if i'm wrong, but I think Shinryuu did all the playing and the other 3 found a lot of bugs and glitches in the game that made the run faster.

  • Oh, I wasn't too sure. Thanks for answering.

  • I assume Shinryuu did most of the playing and sent savestates to the other three when he needed help and/or got lazy.

  • Quite simple, they played certain parts... Shinryuu might done a lot of the actual playing, but as someone pointed out, the other 3 did a lot of testing on alternative routes etc. Hence why they are given credits.

  • Oh, for a second you were a jerk.

    Awesome Vid +5!!!

  • Awesome.

    Seriously.

  • 12:53

Man, that part makes me laugh so hard. The boss doesn't even get a fair chance.

  • Rockman? I've heard that name hundreds of times but never knew it had anything to do with Megaman.

    So what/who is Rockman? :S

  • "Rockman" is what Mega Man was called in Japan. I put "Rockman" instead of "Mega Man" because the TASers used the Japanese ROM.

  • Ah, it all makes sense now...

    Thanks

  • Man I love that trick you used against buebeams. I wonder if that would work in a normal game or if you need the timing with tas-like precision.

  • every boss has the most creative name... :p

  • that victory at heatman was just cool. He gets hit and kills heatman at the same time whoever it was

  • Shinryuu is the best MM player I've ever seen! :)

    Nice job!

  • Do most most use a console controller with the wires re-attached to a usb cable, or just the regular keyboard to do this?

  • For 2D games, keyboard.

  • so glad to be subscribed!

  • We want Oracle of Seasons / Ages TAS' SL :( Also, is there an Banjo-Tooie 100% TAS somewhere that you can upload? Would love too see!

  • (To Ractak)

Banjo-Tooie cannot be TASed at the moment. Apparenlly from the TASvideos website it's not stable enough to TASed.

  • q_q noes!

  • It's probably the roms, all of the roms I've tried have crashed at me randomly.

  • Description.

  • it is a human... just using glitches and other tools

  • Holy *****.

  • That's crazy.

  • Awesome run. Is there any particular reason why he did it in the Japanese version?

  • i'm just guessing but maybe theres a glitch that you can only do on the japanese version of the game

    btw nice speed run

  • in addition, IIRC, the japanese text takes less time than the english text. The weapon get screen will always be painful for this game ;_;

  • Push it to the limit - yay!

  • Hah, Go Finland! :p

  • what does TAS ?

  • From discription : This run was made on an emulator, with slowdown, frame-by-frame shooting, savestates and re-records. It is NOT meant to show skill, but rather the game pushed to its limits. It is only supposed to provide entertainment. You must bear this in mind when watching this video, or any TAS, for that matter.

    I hope this helps

  • Tool Assisted something, all you really need to know is the first part

  • Also, the Bubbleman stage was the best in my opinion. Bubbleman didn't stand a chance

  • Love the Woodman stage.

  • I have seen this TAS before, and I never get tired of watching it! I respect how much time you all have put in to this, and think you have done an amazing job!

  • awesome

  • It takes skill to do a speed run...it takes extreme skill to do a TAS run. Kudos on this one you three! :D

  • yo...i just realized that the ending for perfect control 2 is a copy of mega man 2

  • I think this is the TAS that gave me the most WTF moments. Everything is just messed up!

Oh god, I love this run!

  • is there any specific reason this is on the Japanese version? Is there less text or something?

  • All of the TAS runs are done on Hardest difficulty. Rockman 2 has only got 1 difficulty which is Hard mode to US Mega man 2. So Rockman 2 has a faster start when it comes to start a "Difficult" game.

  • E-p-i-c

  • Megaman went all ninja on Bubbleman's ass.

  • lol, woa XD

and on wow, you totallt Humiliated bubble man XD

  • LMAO! Holy crap! This is one of the most incredible things I've ever seen!

  • is doing speedruns REALLY hard to do

  • lolwut, rockman!

  • YES

  • bubbleman was funny

  • I was like... lawlwut during the whole Clashman stage x.x

  • that was amazing at 3:58! I never knew that was possible!

  • If you TAS it any harder Mega Man will gain sentience and take over your computer like some kind of Skynet. He can see the code.

  • Okkusenman!! Okkusenman!! Dododododododododod.... got that song stuck in my head!!

  • Are anti-alising comments allowed? Awesome tas, there were a number of fun things to watch throughout.

  • Gotta love the lack of memory on this game.

  • Amazing TAS. Just one question. What happened in the Clashman stage? x_x

  • holy fucking shit O_O!!!!!

  • wow that was freakin amazing sometimes i wish i could do glitches like the ones in this

  • A lot of crazyness in this run. The Bubbleman part was just...wow

  • This was like, my entire childhood in 25 minutes! Really nice TAS.

  • Gotta respect how popular swordlesslink's channel is. This couldn't have been uploaded more then 15 minutes ago and already 55 views :)

  • lol i have to play this game 5/5

  • 16:40 what happened? Did he slide into a warp that is triggered when you kill the dragon or something?!

  • To think that this movie is improvable by another 15 seconds.....

    Awesome!

  • :O It is?

  • Comment removed

  • It is. There's some improvement concerning zipping in the woodman stage which saves 10 seconds, and a recently found time saver (I don't know anything about it atm though). I don't know how much that saves. I was just estimating it would be around 5 seconds...

  • TheDarkmanWs, You are an idiot.

    Mega Man is really Rockman.

  • I was just joking xD

  • yay another upload :D

I seen all other other mega man nes TSA's but this 1 :P
