  • Mine doesnt start on cue. Is there a setting to make it start on cue?

  • where can i buy the synth from and whats the name of the makers. is it native instruments.

  • @MrLeePickett visit tone2 dot come :^). Check out their latest synth ElectraX as well.

  • youre my hero!!! thanks for your explanations... this plugin is something completely new, thats why men dont find any informations =( but you made it clear ;-) thanks

  • Dude you are awesome. Thank you

  • Hey , why don't the sound start right away when i play it ?

  • @mryungtalentedDJQ8 Might be latency with your sound card. Works fine for me

  • awesome tut mate, thanks heaps.I've had the bastard for about 2 years but keep putting off the schooling because of "to many synths with good presets syndrome".cheers

  • the presets sounded harsh to me.

  • thanck you so much, i am used to synths like nexus so when i got this i was loss, and i didnt want to read over the manual *im not a manual type of guy, but i see i need to on this

  • is there a way to get more explenation about all thoes morphs sings and all thoes buttons caus im quiet confused i just instaled gladiator 2... :)

  • @slokaka Think of it this way. Click a mod type changes the harmonic content for the wavetable. For example, if you INIT patch, then select mod "Mul Comb \" you'v applied comb filter to the wavetable. Turn the knob next to the mod reduces and intensifies the effect and retakes the snapshot. The manual summarizes all the modifiers.

  • Stunning!!!!Gladiator N 1

  • Lovin it!!! To think he's barely touched basis on like 0.01 percent of what you can do on this synth!!! @.@

  • BY FAR ONE OF THE MOST POWERFUL SOUNDING VST'S IN THE MARKET .. SYLENTH1 MIGHT COME CLOSE ..

  • my favorite plug in! Great tutorial, thank you! :)

  • That Chavey little "init" Button

  • @wilfeatscheese

Lol always thought this with synths. :)

  • really good video here! would love to see a vid on you creating some wicked sounds! from this i have decided to get myself a copy of Gladiator! Thank you!

  • is using nexus vst cheating ? Iv been going threw the whole your cheating if you use presets and so on ... What is your take on this guys and should I really be worried about this or should I stop using nexus and learn to create my own synth from the ground up ? Iv been messing with predator and I can mix better . when I use Nexus I seem to have a harder time mixing my sounds ...

  • @simplistiCI It's not cheating as such (to use Nexus), but if you want a future as producer the usual way to go is to remix a popular track, and 99% of the time you're not allowed to use samples and presets, meaning you have to do everything from scratch which Nexus certainly does not.

  • @simplistiCI Bro my thought on the subject is it's cheating. Sound production is a major part in producing. It takes time to learn especially on a beast of a machine like this but once you learn you can say i made that sound. And fuck that feels good. I just found out DJ Zany uses nexus on every song he writes. Well i won't ever buy another song of his again. He's meant to be world class.

  • @Oldskool01Hakken dude hahaha you sound like a mega amateur , if an artist can work good with nexus so what ? if you didnt heard he used nexus you wouldnt even knew it... so stop trying to talk like a great producer because you make no sense at all :)

  • Great plugin, I wish more developers would follow in making vsti's that actually have a distinctive hardware-like sound.

  • I did a good number of the factory presets for Gladiator as well as a good part of most of the expansions. I LOVE this synth because it really has a very unique sound to it. For those that might be interested, I have a 3rd party bank of 128 presets available at XenosSoundworks (dot) com

  • what are you using to record this video?

  • damn, 9 minutes and you only got to explain one of the oscillators!

  • @mindphlux HCM is what makes Gladiator stand-out. It's quite unique and takes some time to explain.

  • nice voiceover, but where is the sound of the gladiator

  • I'm a sound design for film student in Chicago who has been making electronic music since I got a DX-27 when I was 12. I believe strongly in the separation between art and commercialization of it.

Needless to say - I'm glad I stumbled upon this video, and you - Mark! What an inspiration...

  • Thanks for your kind words!

  • Wow, this is quite something.

  • Why don't you post some of your music?

  • My music is on iTunes, Amazon MP3, Bandcamp... Just search for Mark Mosher Reboot

  • You did an excellent job explaining this plug in. I am blown away at the sound quality...it kind of back handed some of my older plugs.

  • Yea. kind of crazy how great it sounds.

  • it isn't good to post your music on youtube. people can download the mp3 of any video here. do you really think it's a good idea for someone to upload their ORIGINAL music on here? not me!

  • Hmmm. Many, many arists these days offer their music online for free for personal to help broaden their audiance.

Of course the choice is yours.

    mark

  • @maychael84 I not only put my music on YouTube, I also put it up on Soundcloud which makes it even easier to download for free lol

  • I just tried it out.. it's pretty ridiculous.. I'm gonna get it.

  • I still use it constantly so I think you'll enjoy it.

  • Where (or how) did you get it?

    Per Internet?

  • 2:04 by pressing a key on the keyboard to play back... WHAT KEY???

  • Any key on your MIDI controller or from your DAW software that will cause a MIDI note to go to Gladiator.

  • Oh, god... Does that mean, I need to get myself a keyboard with MIDI input?

  • Or you could sequence the notes.

  • So basically this is all Jean Michel Jarre was doing. :(

    lol wow.

  • Just about anyone can tweak knobs or strum a guitar. Putting these instruments to use to create songs and/or performance is where humans and the "craft" comes in ;^).

  • i couldnt agree more

  • can this be used as a vst plugin with another host program?? i know fire bird can

  • Exactly. It's a plugin for hosts. Works great in Ableton Live by the way.

  • got the demo ima goin to buy it this friday sounds or amazing

  • where did you get the demo???

  • Just got this and i really mean it it gives me a hard on,the sound is so clear so smooth, now i think purity is a good vst too and it has good sound, i know people love nexus and vanguard and genisus but listen to the sounds on this vst and know that things move on..

  • Who needs Omnisphere?

  • Excellet tutorials!!! Thanks for your appreciated help!!! You're the best! :-)

  • Great man!!! You explained it very clear. Useful tutorial for begginers like me.

  • Your most welcome!
