  • hes my coach and he talked about it ,, he said he kew the ice was rough , so he wanted to take the puck all the way to the net but instead it went over his stick , and he tried to get it but he fell,,,, o and he said that the coach wanted him to shoot in the shootout ,, o yea and he scored 2 goals that game , and was star of the game , o and this is minor .. he was first round pick in the nhl draft..... over the sedin sisters!!!

  • @puckcrazed35 so now he's your coach...the sedins won back 2 back art ross trophies, a hart and a ted lindsay. yea they didnt show up in the cup final...but what has stefan done...solid 1st overall pick in 1999 over the sedin 'sisters' puts the icing on your little rant.

  • patrick stefan disliked this

  • ლ(ಠ益ಠლ) Y U NO SCOORE !?!

  • This guy was my coach he was the best no joke

  • The goalie made a good save even though he was on the bench.

  • This guy is pretty good. Before this, he was a very good player.

  • @hockeyyismylife can't tell if trolling or just stupid. There's a good reason he's seen as arguably the biggest bust in draft history. Just look back at Gretzky, he always shot the puck in from barely inside the blue line at the empty net. I'm not bashing his luck I'm bashing his decision to take it that close before deciding to do something, too much can happen to the ice near the crease to chance skating it in.

  • I've played hockey in leagues from when I was a small child and this was something that shouldn't have happened. if anything you lob in the puck from around the top of the circle or the blue line if you have a lot of faith in your shot, missing it from that close is inexcusable

  • @raymith2012 oh really why don't you go tell that to the professional ice hockey player. god you're such an idiot you always safely glide it into the net if your all by yourself you don't take an off chance of missing the net, the puck just bounced over his stick retard.

  • talk about bad finishing...

  • he scoring ability is as bad as your spelling.....no offence

  • it was just a bad bounce feel bad 4 him

  • enough excuses... its e embarrassing

  • Why did he wait to back-hand it? He shouldve shot it a decade before that.

  • Not his fault puck bounced right when he tried backhanding it.

  • @Sinco1967 Your right this guys is my coach now he is so good

  • bad luck. the oilers player was the fool out there though what a terrible giveaway

  • Still an epic fail...

  • It wasnt hes mistake! If you look in the moment when he shots it in the puck jumps over hes stick!

  • @Krisitis96 and tell me how long before the puck bounced he had to shoot the puck. the good goal scorers will shoot it from center or their own end and score. Kovelev scored a goal on the oilers earlier this year from his own end, empty net. But instead of trying to show off, he just shot the puck. Stefan had to just shoot the puck and it would have been game over. period.

  • @fatherofone2006 Yea, you are right.

  • At least Stefan could feel better since the Stars won in OT.

  • @Dolphinwigs ah shaddup

  • the worst EVER

  • i love how everyone hates stefan saying his error was not professional, even though his error was completley innocent, yet that moron on the oilers couldn't even pass the puck our of his own zone? give the guy a break, jesus

  • @Trisomy13 im czech and i felt really bad for him, but i agree with u

  • It bounced.

Its really sad he has got so hated for that.

It was a unlucky bounce and very unlucky that Hemsky scored after that. Poor guy. He lost all self esteem and retired.

  • Fuck that, he got paid millions and if he couldn't perform, screw him

  • it was still his fault. stefan was a first overall pick. all he had to do was shoot it at the goal from the blue line and it would have gone in. this is why his professional hockey career is over

  • this is not why his professional career is over. actually it's not even over... man you know what you are talking about

  • That puck has a life on its own. Wtf was that?

  • excuse my comment, im running on 4 hours of sleep, i ment to say dallas .. then i realized that this was in Edmonton, LOL,

  • Edmonton ice is pretty bad at times, but theres no excuse for that, if he had have shot it to begin with instead of carrying it that far, sloppy sloppy play.

  • he was most likely fired for that miss!!

  • no he didnt get fired, he just left to go play in the swiss elite league

  • Than retire like 4 days later.

  • Yah he ran to swiss because of the embarrassment but it was so bad they made fun of him in Swiss there XD

  • oilers have the best ice in the world

  • Stefan does not belong to NHL, but shitty ice does?

  • edmonton is known to have the best ice in the nhl retard. he should have just shot it in instead of being cocky and just placing it in. goalies chew up the ice around their net on purpose, and that play just goes to show the benefits of doing that.

  • obviously you dont play hockey. you NEVER shoot at an empty net if your on a clean breakaway. bad ice, bad luck. shit happens. its easy to laugh at him and say he sucks. most youtubers are dumb cattle , but anyone with a realy knowledge of hockey knows this was just brutal luck. like cmon on, not only did the puck bounce, but when he tried to stop, the ice gave. thats a sign of too much water on the ice. shitty zamboni

  • @stefy71 ] we didnt know he was ur wife sorry

  • @raiboy7 no, im someone who has played hockey, watched hockey, and been around hockey for 30 years. You are just a mindless internet drone, that agrees with the masses, and is 100% clueless as to what can happen on the ice. begone uyou twit.

  • @stefy71 yes the puck bounced because of shitty ice, the crease is always the worst spot especially at the end if your on a break away you dont shoot from half or the blueline but guiding it right into the net is just hotdogging, shoot from the hash marks thats (obviously YOU dont play hockey), he fell on his ass cuz he cant skate not because of water IT WAS THE END OF THE PERIOD....and btw Edmonton has the best ice in the league (always has)

  • @83Oil88ers89 I agree, the only excuse he could have for falling would be a dull edge but thats unlikely because he's playing pro and they get whatever they need to perform. Him not being able to keep his equilibrium is his own fault.

  • @stefy71

    Are you Patrick Stefan's mother?

  • @stefy71 I think people saying he sucks has more to do with him being a bust and this is just compounding it. And wtf are you talking about never shoot at an empty net..Moving the puck from forehand to backhand and attempting a deke on an invisible goalie actually makes the shot harder. There really is no excuse for this.

  • @stefy71 Hahahaha shitty zamboni ?? too much water ? that was like 15 second from the end of the 3rd period there's no-more water at this time...and when you're paid 2-3 M to put a puck in the net in the NHL you need to score...of course this is bad luck the puck jumped but at this level of competition you need to get on your right side and get the fucking puck in the net...at least stay there to be sure it goes in...get in the crest and SHOOT !! (Not on the backhand)

  • @stefy71 And you are One example. I have played hockey. Stefan was arrogant. Thought he had it. Much as you.

  • @stefy71 thumbs up if u saw this same comment on a different video on a different account wat a homo

  • @stefy71 Thats True!

  • @stefy71 i agree with you but idk about him falling being the ices fault, i think when the puck skipped and he missed the net he got really scared as would i and it just went down hill from there. Think about it he probably shit himself when he realized the puck wasnt on his stick lol

  • @stefy71 you see thats where youre wrong. Edmonton has had the best ice for years. Thats why they got the crew that does it in Edmonton to do it for the Olympics. and this was with less than a minute left in the game, so there would be absolutely no water on the ice at all. Yeah the puck did hit a bad spot but i assume he just feel once he was worried that the puck didnt go in

  • @ericross79

    Youre an idiot.

  • @stefy71 I absolutely agree, it was a fluke accident and shit happens. you spoke it 100% real. We all agree with you.

  • @stefy71 your totally right wasn't his fault, the puck had a lucky bounce but he fell because he put all of his weight breaking and tried reaching the puck wich was behind him so thats why he fell but wtv this guy is better than all these kids saying he sucks.

  • @stefy71 especially at the end of the game

  • @stefy71 I'll shoot on an empty net from center ice if there's a lane. And too much water on the ice? The net was empty, I highly doubt that with less than 2 minutes left in the 3rd period, that there was ANY water left to freeze on the surface of the ice.

  • lol "why didn't stefan scores"

  • this is the NATIONAL HOCKEY LEAGUE for god sakes!

with this kind of shit he does not belong there!

  • it bounced because he hit one side down and flipped it so it is his fault.

  • can someone put a video of stefans reaction to the goal

  • dudes.Dallas won anyway so stefan had luck, they won at OT

  • late comment, but stars won at Shootout...

  • way to burst our bubble :(

    haha

  • @kochar1994 actually it was a shoot-out. and when you have players like modano, nieuwendyk, hull and zubov. You're going to be a killer of a team in a shootout. Not to mention, i think the goaltender was a young marty turco who was an oiler killer.

  • yes it was his fault, just shoot the puck, dont just try and slide it in.

  • watch the puck competely bounce at 0:06, you can't say that it was 100% his fault

  • That was 100% his fault. Its called puck control.

  • how is bad ice and fluke bounces his fault? so if you fire a hand gun and it goes off and blows up in your face, thats bad fire arms control? fuck off kid...

  • You do realize Edmonton has one of the best rinks in the league right?

  • your right they do. but not that night. and its funny because dallas has the WORST ice in the league :)

  • What do you mean not that night? I worked at Rexall, the ice was fine

  • doesn't look like it :) work harder next time buddy

  • Ohhh... thats cold... haha

  • @stefy71 only one problem with that theory to this biggest blunder in NHL history, is that the ice was not in Dallas. The puck hit a rut left from a skate in the crease and bounced. The game was played in Edmonton. Edmonton has always been known for the best ice.

  • haaaaaaaaaaaaaaa haaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • go oilers dallas suck balls

  • So how did Edmonton do in the playoffs last year? Oh that's right...they didn't make the playoffs.

  • hahahhahahaahahaha

  • douch

  • At least spell it right...douche.

  • HE could of shot like 20 secs before it bounced

  • It was his fault, he could have shot it in easily from the faceoff circle, but he didn't. Lamer.

  • it doesnt matter it bounced but we never should have gotten him he was under achieving with the thrashers we should've kep kapanen

  • yeah i understand him now, it not his fault at all. that sucks for him tho..

  • kOkay, you know it's really bad when they compare you too Leon "leave it alone" Lett

  • LOl its totally his fault! He doens't have the confidence the shoot from atleast the hashmarks, ridiculous..

  • this vid=old, gay, and not his fault

  • wow.

  • Yeah this isn't funny anymore after I saw it bounced
