Funny thing is no 1 knew he already had 2 goals that game. he told me there is no excuse and he said he should've scored that easily but all of you that hate on him wont do any better than he did he worked his ass of to get in the nhl.. he did his best thats all he cares about
hes my coach and he talked about it ,, he said he kew the ice was rough , so he wanted to take the puck all the way to the net but instead it went over his stick , and he tried to get it but he fell,,,, o and he said that the coach wanted him to shoot in the shootout ,, o yea and he scored 2 goals that game , and was star of the game , o and this is minor .. he was first round pick in the nhl draft..... over the sedin sisters!!!
@puckcrazed35 so now he's your coach...the sedins won back 2 back art ross trophies, a hart and a ted lindsay. yea they didnt show up in the cup final...but what has stefan done...solid 1st overall pick in 1999 over the sedin 'sisters' puts the icing on your little rant.
@hockeyyismylife can't tell if trolling or just stupid. There's a good reason he's seen as arguably the biggest bust in draft history. Just look back at Gretzky, he always shot the puck in from barely inside the blue line at the empty net. I'm not bashing his luck I'm bashing his decision to take it that close before deciding to do something, too much can happen to the ice near the crease to chance skating it in.
I've played hockey in leagues from when I was a small child and this was something that shouldn't have happened. if anything you lob in the puck from around the top of the circle or the blue line if you have a lot of faith in your shot, missing it from that close is inexcusable
@raymith2012 oh really why don't you go tell that to the professional ice hockey player. god you're such an idiot you always safely glide it into the net if your all by yourself you don't take an off chance of missing the net, the puck just bounced over his stick retard.
On December 24,2006 at 8 o'clock in the morning, a young 14 year old boy by the name of Scott Jackson was found dead.Doctors couldn't come up with the cause of his death. His mother checked his emails to see if she could figure out what happened.Turns out he was still signed into myspace. She found he had gone to sleep after he read and didn't repost a chain letter.if you don't repost this to 6 videos a girl with no face will kill you tonight. Sorry i dont want to die
@Krisitis96 and tell me how long before the puck bounced he had to shoot the puck. the good goal scorers will shoot it from center or their own end and score. Kovelev scored a goal on the oilers earlier this year from his own end, empty net. But instead of trying to show off, he just shot the puck. Stefan had to just shoot the puck and it would have been game over. period.
i love how everyone hates stefan saying his error was not professional, even though his error was completley innocent, yet that moron on the oilers couldn't even pass the puck our of his own zone? give the guy a break, jesus
it was still his fault. stefan was a first overall pick. all he had to do was shoot it at the goal from the blue line and it would have gone in. this is why his professional hockey career is over
Edmonton ice is pretty bad at times, but theres no excuse for that, if he had have shot it to begin with instead of carrying it that far, sloppy sloppy play.
edmonton is known to have the best ice in the nhl retard. he should have just shot it in instead of being cocky and just placing it in. goalies chew up the ice around their net on purpose, and that play just goes to show the benefits of doing that.
obviously you dont play hockey. you NEVER shoot at an empty net if your on a clean breakaway. bad ice, bad luck. shit happens. its easy to laugh at him and say he sucks. most youtubers are dumb cattle , but anyone with a realy knowledge of hockey knows this was just brutal luck. like cmon on, not only did the puck bounce, but when he tried to stop, the ice gave. thats a sign of too much water on the ice. shitty zamboni
@raiboy7 no, im someone who has played hockey, watched hockey, and been around hockey for 30 years. You are just a mindless internet drone, that agrees with the masses, and is 100% clueless as to what can happen on the ice. begone uyou twit.
@stefy71 yes the puck bounced because of shitty ice, the crease is always the worst spot especially at the end if your on a break away you dont shoot from half or the blueline but guiding it right into the net is just hotdogging, shoot from the hash marks thats (obviously YOU dont play hockey), he fell on his ass cuz he cant skate not because of water IT WAS THE END OF THE PERIOD....and btw Edmonton has the best ice in the league (always has)
@83Oil88ers89 I agree, the only excuse he could have for falling would be a dull edge but thats unlikely because he's playing pro and they get whatever they need to perform. Him not being able to keep his equilibrium is his own fault.
@stefy71 I think people saying he sucks has more to do with him being a bust and this is just compounding it. And wtf are you talking about never shoot at an empty net..Moving the puck from forehand to backhand and attempting a deke on an invisible goalie actually makes the shot harder. There really is no excuse for this.
@stefy71 Hahahaha shitty zamboni ?? too much water ? that was like 15 second from the end of the 3rd period there's no-more water at this time...and when you're paid 2-3 M to put a puck in the net in the NHL you need to score...of course this is bad luck the puck jumped but at this level of competition you need to get on your right side and get the fucking puck in the net...at least stay there to be sure it goes in...get in the crest and SHOOT !! (Not on the backhand)
@stefy71 i agree with you but idk about him falling being the ices fault, i think when the puck skipped and he missed the net he got really scared as would i and it just went down hill from there. Think about it he probably shit himself when he realized the puck wasnt on his stick lol
@stefy71 you see thats where youre wrong. Edmonton has had the best ice for years. Thats why they got the crew that does it in Edmonton to do it for the Olympics. and this was with less than a minute left in the game, so there would be absolutely no water on the ice at all. Yeah the puck did hit a bad spot but i assume he just feel once he was worried that the puck didnt go in
@stefy71 your totally right wasn't his fault, the puck had a lucky bounce but he fell because he put all of his weight breaking and tried reaching the puck wich was behind him so thats why he fell but wtv this guy is better than all these kids saying he sucks.
@stefy71 I'll shoot on an empty net from center ice if there's a lane. And too much water on the ice? The net was empty, I highly doubt that with less than 2 minutes left in the 3rd period, that there was ANY water left to freeze on the surface of the ice.
@kochar1994 actually it was a shoot-out. and when you have players like modano, nieuwendyk, hull and zubov. You're going to be a killer of a team in a shootout. Not to mention, i think the goaltender was a young marty turco who was an oiler killer.
how is bad ice and fluke bounces his fault? so if you fire a hand gun and it goes off and blows up in your face, thats bad fire arms control? fuck off kid...
@stefy71 only one problem with that theory to this biggest blunder in NHL history, is that the ice was not in Dallas. The puck hit a rut left from a skate in the crease and bounced. The game was played in Edmonton. Edmonton has always been known for the best ice.
