If you think this is "simple comedy", trying writing an episode of Phoneshop. You will immediately discover that the cultural references and linguistic word play is extremely complex.

The CHARACTERS are simple. The show is very, very clever.

@ShnuckFuckle the accent isn't ironic, it's just funny, mocking the people who actually talk like that (in my view anyway). and think about irony for a second, and watch an episode. e.g. in the third episode, where the boss get's a load of dildos stuck to his car.
