@jmeeks84 I can only assume that you got hit at some point earlier in the level. This video only details that final section. You can't hit any of the preceding metal bars either. Sorry if that wasn't clear.

Got it, thanks a lot. I think some people oversell how difficult this is though. I did it on my other account without much trouble aswell. As long as you use all the guides available and don't try and rush through it it isn't that difficult.

This exact same procedure can be done on the right hand side of the canyon. Note: it took me several attempts even though I never got hit. If you fly too high along the walls it seems to not register/count. I dipped down a few times (still hugging the wall) and this resulted in the trophy.
