no you can not hit them over the head with it!! it will break... its flemsy plastic and very cheaply made. i own one and this is not made from quality material. the mechanism that holds the baton from extending is a small plastic hook and if you play with it frequently it will break and it will slip and extend from being bumped lightly. I would not count on this to save my life. we taze each other with this stun gun for fun. I swear to god. we taze our friends it doesn't hurt its a cheap toy.

THis product is very flemsy!!! if you were to try and hit someone with that like a baton it would break in half!! baton is a weak plastic with weak aluminum strips!!the end of the baton is complete plastic and you cant poke and taze someone with the end of it, and its very cheaply made, though it is a scary looking and sounds scary i would not trust my life with this thing
