very nice video and the phone is really great but sony ericsson should update it to ics 4.0 ...
i have an xperia x8 with an installed rom like the one you show on your video (gingercruzt) and its really nice but it doesnt got a 1GHz scorpion processor... I will maybe buy an xperia neo v or a xperia mini pro.. what should i prefer?
@Zartierakias Your right. They definitely should although it seems that Sony only tends to the needs of potential profit. I would stay away from the mini. You will most likely have a better experience with the neo v
When ever i try to update my phone using the pc companion it says that the sonyericsson site is overloaded .... can u please tell a solution to that??
@1234sufian well it could very well be that their server is in fact overloaded but its imposable to say. Best to do some research but if you can't find anything on it I would recommend just un-installing pc companion and reinstalling it. That's your best bet other then that I don't know what to tell you.
Nice video, I need some help!? I have this theme app, im running the 3.0 Honeycomb theme. My X10 is slow as hell and the battery life is so so bad. Also how to you actually exit a app with out me having to kill it every second.
@aLexOFWGKTA ok well for killing the app your best choice is to download advanced task killer and set the auto kill to 5 mins or so. For the theme there is really not much to do. It obviously just takes up too much of your phones memory. Try uninstalling apps that you don't need and that might be taking up memory, You would be suprised how many apps actually stay open all the time. One again that can be helped via auto kill.
@aLexOFWGKTA for battery life if you are rooted like me you can download an app called SetCPU in witch you can set a rule that states whenever your phone screen locks or turns off by pressing the lock button the cpu freq will go to the minimum setting therefore saving alot of battery.
@starman1695 that means your carrier probably did not authorize the update or just didn't bother. Your best solution is to root and install an unbranded version of the firmware.
@SculptorGalaxy You will need to google Sony Ericsson PC Companion. Once downloaded, just plug in your phone and it will automatically ask you to update.
günstig das Xperia X10 ersteigern!!! geht auf ebay und gebt die artikelnummer 200677273200 ein. ersteigert euch dieses tolle gerät mit android 2.3 gingerbread
@iEriiiic AT&T has restricted the phone and is not allowing the update unfortunately. If your on AT&T I recommend you root the phone and install the firmware like that. You will break free from alot of restrictions by doing so.
@SaifArain11 It is about what your service provider decides if you got the phone by them. If you have a unlocked phone then the update just is not available there yet but it should be coming.
@nuNWO Yes, there is a bit of lag when you go to a different screen like music selection or when changing apps. Although its only momentary. I have heard that the problem can be fixed by downloading an app that allows you to change the min cpu frequency like droid overclock. You then change the minimum frequency to match the max frequency and there should be no more lag.
@wadegm21 ok, but most of the phones on the market say they support multi-touch when they can only be used with 2 fingers at a time like the htc desire

Every time I go to PC Companion, it tells me my phone already has the latest software, even though I only have Android 2.1.1.

Any hope for android 2.3.5 update for Xperia X10?
opjjuly 2 months ago
@opjjuly No, Sony Ericsson will no longer be making any updates for the Xperia X10. You will have to flash custom roms to get any updates.

It can be found on the XDA forums. Just google flash tool and it should be the first link. Do you think a tutorial would be helpful?

@karthikx10 1) Yes the boot animation always lags. Mine has never been smooth.
2) Well if I were you I would just move them to the phone using a app that does that.
3) yes the timescape widget does and I just got rid of it cause it is laggy most of the time.
What I did what actually install a modified version of this rom. The wolfbreak one because it runs alot smoother and no 30 fps cap.
