  • I have one and I gotta say it's awesome and I've ridden dozens of boards! THOSE Canadians know what their doing!!!!

  • Anyone wanna help me out here?

Well i am wondering if i should get the Chinook or the switchblade

I like bombing hills but i also like freeriding and just going around town crusing

i cant decide on which to get someone wanna help me please haha

  • @TheSimplicity707 Chinook wouldn't be a good board for freeride, so stick to the switchblade

  • Would randallR11 180mm 50degree trucks eork well on the chinook? and also what are the best downhill wheels for this board

  • @thatwaspainful5 no a 50 degree truck would give you a 60 degree front, which would make your turning all funky. You could run randals 42 degrees just great. Or caliber 44's. I just bought some caliber 44's and chinook as well

  • @mountainboarder101 so should i get bear 840's?

  • @thatwaspainful5 Yeah they'd run great!

  • @thatwaspainful5 you should get the 852s

  • Mine is arriving in the mail tomorrow :D

  • Yea I have it and I'm not so great at sliding so it is very hard for me to slide on this, I usually slide on my drop carve

  • Hey ive been longboarding for three years, wanna learn how to slide, and I love to just cruise the streets of my town. Is this a good board for that? Or should I look for something else? Please help! I need advice

  • @longboardfreak131 Def not you want something that you can learn to slide on look at the 9two 5 or the switchblade slap some zombie hawgs or abec 11's and your good

  • @longboardfreak131 nelson topspin or landyachtz switchblade caliber 50s abec 11 flashbacks 75a

  • I wish it was summer... I want to longboard...

  • Comment removed

  • zombie hawgs leave thane lines? wtf, mine dont ):

  • @MrKittyVideos those are monster hawgs.......

  • @Hydraulicrobot he means at the end when he does that heelside standy

  • @Hydraulicrobot i have those too, but they still dont..

  • never mind

  • what wheels are on it?

  • @CNLMCF turquoise monster hawgs made my landyachtz

  • I have this board BEST PURCHASE OF MY LIFE!!!

  • how the hell r they getting that much thane off of yellow zombies?

  • @105bentley theyre boss

  • 1:00 .......Then BOOM, he hits the pole

  • Hard to slide especially coleman

  • @JoshuaJoePearson i disagree. For me at least, this board is soooo fun to coleman slide especially at high speeds. Love it!!

  • tell me the exact characteristics of the wheels pls .. mm ? name ? thx

  • I LOVE THIS BOARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • im buyin it

  • does anyone know about the EFP?

  • when does this board get wheelbite?

  • @SOADsam7 doesnt

  • mine

  • Best longboard in the world

  • Please help, should i get the chinook or te ninetwofive(regular one) if i wanna slide(all kinds slides) thanks!

  • @VGxMAAX21 chinook is really good i got it its easy to slide and its got a great turn on it so its good for carving and cruising

  • is this board good for starters

  • @xboxman100yyy looking at all the attention their Eh' racing team put into this longboard maybe experienced people maybe the ones that can pull out the best out of this board... but technically a beginner shouldn't have any problems learning in it... i think :S

  • i really want this board.. :D the old chinook had wedging at both end , now its only at the front.. so it sacrifice its turning radius for more stability.. is it just me or this board kinda have the same setting like Evo ?

  • @X3rztesp its still de-wedged in the back and its meant to be a smaller more compact evo

  • @X3rztesp Well there will be no 2012 evo so the chinook is basically the new evo, but its an inch shorter, has alot more concave as well as the w concave. also the front and back is rounded at the end and the evo is flat

  • @X3rztesp they made this board to be like the evo, but with more freeride aspects.

  • @X3rztesp Smaller version of the evo now..

  • @X3rztesp good discovery...or you could just listen to the video when he says that it's the updated evo

  • @MrFingaborder well , no , until someone told me that this is kinda like smaller Evo..

  • @X3rztesp wtf...

  • @X3rztesp like an evo but higher and more concave

  • @X3rztesp you actually get a sharper turning radius when the back is dewedge. It's similar to the evo but smaller, less drop, and less wedging like it should be

  • really nice board....

  • @momurda14 its the greatest thing ever. quite expensive for a good quality board but dude trust me you get more than wat u pay for.

  • Love it but I can't but I can't slide any ideas?

  • I love my new board, I can't slide with it any recommendations?

  • @Muzicizmalife15 get used to being comfortable putting your foot placement and keep practicing the slide your trying to learn.. btw i have this board and i can slide preety good and i love this board alot

  • i love the boards but whats with the graphics??

  • Holy shit, this is my first time watching longboarding and I need one NOW

  • Good for long distance?

  • @FreeskierSean im using mini monster hawgs 78a wheels

  • @chancerbob95 o btw can i use monster hawgs on my switch?

  • @chancerbob95 ya i weigh like 160 but im not fat lol and ya nvm i found out today that if im going fast and do a slide i leave marks like nothin. thx on the info anyways :D

  • @almostbog ya i ment to say wheels

  • is this board good for sliding?

  • my landy switch doesnt make marks on the ground from sliding... whyyyyy???

  • @maxmax643 thats cause wheels leave thane lines... not boards

  • @maxmax643 i have a switch also and like almostbog said its the wheels that leave lines but also u have to slide far/fast enough to get the wheel to shave off so if ur only sliding like 5-10 ft it polly wont leave lines and it helps to b a heavy dude to leave big lines. also if ur doing hands down slides like colemans its less likely to leave thane cuz there isnt much weight on the wheels. hope that helped

  • @maxmax643 Thane lines. what wheels are you using? A harder wheel will not make lines cuz it is mostly skipping over the pavement while with a softer wheel you are actually shaving the rubber off

  • Dillon Stephens xD he was in charge in the landyachtz's shop cashier when i went there to get the chinook. xD

  • does it slide well? or should i get the switch 42/

  • @bannanahamster19 totally different boards. Chinook is a Downhill board, Switch is a mediocre freeride board

  • @Jobryan205 actually it can slide well because it cups the ball of your foot

  • @bannanahamster19 then why did you ask? It drifts well but it is by no means a freeride board.

  • i have a carving board at the moment, im SOOO sick of wobbles, so im thinking about downhilling on this board. but would by light carvy bamboo board be good for sliding with proper wheels? :l

  • Chinook > Evo

  • Anyone with this board have any thoughts on it? I was gonna get it with Surf Rodz RKPs and Cult Death Rays. I've already got a vendetta for free riding so this set up would basically be for DH only. Anyone agree/disagree with this idea?

  • @KeKeKeilan look at the r5

  • @KeKeKeilan i got a like 3 weeks ago.. and its amazingg trust me dude u wont regret it :)

  • just ordered mine!!!! i wish that i could slide as well as these people do!!!!!!!

  • Oh before I go if you guys want some sweet board pics send me s message oh and make sure you get your boards to my local boardshop Bare Beaunz. Peace

  • Positively amazing board. I got mine with blue 84 a 76 mm monster hawgs and precision bears. I got mine just in time as we were heading for the east coast of Canada, so naturally I have been able to test almost everything about it. Downhill nothing beats it pure perfection, but if your more carving or early grab its not to bad for that either actually surprisingly nimble. We even tried it on the cabot trail its very stable even at high speeds 40 mph plus. Well that was my scattered review lol

  • Is this board ment for only downhill? or can it do freeriding and sliding?

  • @tomtomthepieguy its for everything but mostly downhill :) but still really good for freeriding and sliding

  • could u review the pocket knife? please

  • @artix

    * 00:42 EPICCCC

  • If i could legitly freeride this better than my wolfshark I'd totally be down to get it.

  • I would say yes, but I'd go for big zigs or centrax. Both by abec11

  • Please tell me If the White 80a Zombie Hawgs are good for downhill because i'm doing a Race in a few weeks time and my other Race wheels are fucked. So could something tell me if the 80a Zombie Hawgs are good for downhill? Yes or No

  • @SouthStokedFilms Zombie Hawgs are meant more for freeriding, especially sliding. If you want to go with the LY brand, I'd go with the 80a Monster Hawgs instead, they are grippier than the Zombies.

  • @SouthStokedFilms not really, they do roll fast but there to sliddy, they have rounded lips so thats a no go

  • this is the new evo there will not be a 2012 evo

  • K wut do u think....this or the switch???

  • @TheCreativeOstriche switch, it has no forward

  • @TheCreativeOstriche I own the switch and personally, ive ridden alot of boards and the switch is easily my fav for the reasons that it is good for EVERYTHING Im not going into details but if you want more info go ahead and pm me!

  • can you ride this board both ways ??

  • check my channel for a unboxing for the chinook!!

  • i like how landy actually knows the details of thr boards unlike rayne who i swear just make stuff up on the spot for thr promotion vids

  • and what would be better for freeride and dh this or the switchblade please reply

  • @woolerymasst Chinook sucks for freeride cant ride switch

  • how many plys does this have

  • hey i am thinking about gettting this but what would you recomend for easy sliding?

  • @SpeedyFox101 925

  • I want to get it so bad. But I just bought a board.

  • Landyachtz should make a video on the Time Machine. Thumbs up so they can see

  • chinook or evo ?? (for free-riding/ sliding)

  • @sambacco pretty much the same board. get a symmertrical drop thru

  • @sambacco chinook

  • @sambacco Chinook for sure, but there are ALOT more better boards out there for freeriding and sliding.

  • lads and ladettes, get this board, its definitely one of the most under rated boards on the scene.

  • i just ate shit on a dervish. fuck downhilling on that board. time for a landyachtz

  • Chinook or switchblade... in general

  • @Darknights7 switchblade

  • @woolerymasst what if i need something easy to push...

  • @Darknights7 its pretty low to the ground if u think its too low u can topmount it

  • @woolerymasst that is so true... thats what i favour the board for.. i need something low, my 1/4 risers on my pintail are giving me leg problems.. too high. lol

  • @Darknights7 ya it has double drop so u shud b good and my friend topmounted it cuz it was too low for him but even if u topmount it youll b good cuz it still has drop in the deck

  • @woolerymasst thank you!!

  • @Darknights7 switchblade has stupid concave. Like extreme cave and W in the middle where you don't need it lol

  • What are those wheels he is running at 00:55??

  • @Zacco741

    82a zombie hawgz

  • Make a map of skating spots in vancouver!!

  • @monsterman655 south mountain, las sendas, fountain hills go there

  • @srt10taylor dude its al in your head. that run isnt that bad

  • at 0:57 he definitely flops on his ass a little bit. haha

  • im having a hard time choosing which board should i get. The r5 , evo , or Chinook. im 5'11'' , 176lbs ish , im more into DH which board would u recommend ? i find these boards all amazing i juz cant decide which one

  • @iFob1993 r5 would be just straight downhill, evo lotta dh can do a bit more, chinook still boss for dh, and sick freerride go chinook

  • getting chinook on sunday!

  • is this good for tricks aswell?

  • @AK47FOO1111 screw you assface

  • just ordered mine three days ago...i am vibrating with excitement until it comes!!!!! jhagdagsfhjfgfjsjadfgasfsgfgfgdgfjfgjdsgfjgfkgfjshgfjfshg...finger spasm..sorry

  • @enjoiskater9977 how does it ride?

  • @TidalDeath808 awesome!! its my favourite board ive ever had

  • I have that in my room right now :)

  • @ransome78232 I'm Jealous

  • WHO DISLIKE THIS??? I WILL COME TO YOUR HOUSE AND EAT YOUR FIRSTBORN CHILD!!!!!

  • i still prefer my evo... personnal choice

  • I'm trying to decide between this and the Evo for pure downhill as some slide but no stand ups or anything just safety slides

  • @CHRISM3S3RV3Y Evo Evo Evo

  • It's really strange looking at this, then looking at the R5 haha.

  • @monsterman655 same... i live in toronto - -

    push culture ftw?

  • so many new boards!

  • @cazlewn156 this has been around for a few years

  • nine two five for me <3

  • good job ly, that's the right idea.

  • @MyAnnamartin the wolf shark is a great board! Great for downhill feels really stable it is also really good for free riding i mean i have done like 25 foot stand ups on it all ready so it keeps you really locked in. its pretty good for cruising but not the best because its a taller board, but once you get used to it its fine.

  • @MyAnnamartin switchblade ftw

  • I just took the biggest fucking dump, you don't even know..

  • @MultiHpesoj sick!

  • Just bought this :)

  • @MyAnnamartin get the wolf shark, will be more fun for cruising and DH

  • way better than the old chinook

  • What are the wheels in this video?

  • @99wilksgav

    Zombie hawgs

    and some others i think

  • @gorabadabadingdong Cheers man! And oooh, the new hawgs. I like.

  • Trying to decide between this and the landy switchblade for freeriding and commuting. Has anyone ridden both? thanks!

  • @SBUkjconnolly I have. I own both.

  • @DewCrewLongboarding oh sweet! could you tell me anything about how they both ride? I want a board i could use for mostly freeride but would also make a comfortable commuter when I need it too. The dropped platforms are a plus for commuting, but does the wedging/dewedging on the chinook make it awkward to carve? Also does the shape of the deck limit it's ability to freeride? I guess I'm mostly wondering about the chinook since there isn't much info about the new model haha.

  • @SBUkjconnolly I personally like to commute to work on my chinook because the back doesnt move so its easier to push because the board doesnt move too much but i got pretty limiting bushings in there, i could pump it with stalk bushings, that saying, not very good for freeriding, or if you like to have fun while commuting, but on of my favourite concaves ive ridden, the "W" is very promonent in the back which i like for toeside drifts/ predrifts, i havent been able to do standies on it but i hav

  • @SBUkjconnolly not tried too, and i thought you had written switch not switchblade, well I really enjoy my switch, but i have ridden the switchblade, if you are leaning towards chinook id get the switch over switchblade, much more similar deck and easy to jump over if you ever get both, id get the switchblade if you ever plan on getting 9two5. but I'd get the switch if its your first deck, I was glad it was mine.

  • @DewCrewLongboarding Thanks for the replies! I'm mostly looking for versatility, as It's my first freeride/ downhill oriented deck, so I'm leaning towards the switchblade since it can be top mounted or dropped thru, and because the drops aren't too drastic (I've stepped on a nemesis and liked the height of the drops) and I assume symmetry is a good feature in a freeride deck. I won't be doing too much DH yet , but this video got me pretty excited about the chinook so I have to consider it haha

  • Comment removed

  • does anyone else think it looks exactly like the evo?

  • @Loadeddervishrider Its because you ride a Dervish, you wouldn't understand.

  • @DewCrewLongboarding @Loadeddervishrider I actually ride a jet vulcan and a clutch doubletap now... and i own an evo (i dont really love it too much)
