Farm sanctuary is an amazing place!!! The camp was amazing too!! I have been vegan now for almost two years and going to this camp really helps show what I am doing this for.
As for the WWF thing that is BS. One meal with meat and dairy equals more than 40 vegan meals.
I just found out about this place today, it looks pretty cool. My wife and I have been vegan for two years, and I think we might have to visit there this summer.

FYI- The WWF released a statement that if the world did away with factory farming there would not be enough food to feed everyone. In fact it would take the total of 11 earths resourses to feed everyone organicaly.
the WWF are idiots. always have been. can't trust them as far as i can throw 'em. keep on rationalizing, kenny boy ... but meat is murder no matter what you tell yourself to sleep at night.
The camp was absolutely incredible. It was the best experience of my life, and I hope to return next year, or as soon as I can. It's not often that you meet people that have so much in common with you, where you feel so comfortable around them. I will remember it for the rest of my life.
@Pernest63 A friend of mine went to a slaughterhouse once for her school field trip--freshly made hamburgers were given to the students. He told me he almost had a heart attack. Honestly THAT should be the mandatory field trip--scaring kids straight 0_o
opps. I meant shit...not shirt..LOL.....but yeah....I have met, ohhh maybe like 2 or 3 other young male vegans in the past 10 years. I'll tell you...it's hard to go though HS and life when you 17 and "don't eat meat"...even though I'm pretty buff...
i haven't met any vegans my age... just one family with two little kids (boys lol) i don't have the "real men eat meat raaa" type insults because i'm a girl but gaaawd people can be sooo rude. especially during high school, when being different, especially different like being a vegan, gets you all sorts of crap. i just don't tell people.
I would love to come there.

I went. Only 3 out of the 9 girls who came were already vegan, but we all are vegan now. Most or all of the volunteers there are vegan.

Schools should have mandatory trips to the sanctuary. Creates animal empathy and veganism. Awareness and education at a young age is key
