It is better to be over weight than under weight. These models think it is so cool to be so thin they compete with each other to be the thinnest and really they are killing themselves in the process. I am back to not eating, and I only drink about 20 oz of water a day for my med intake so I do not gain any water weight. but my sugar has gotten to 33 lately and my counselor said he will be forced to put me into the hospital again for being a danger to myself if I dont eat so I am taken glucose tablets to hide the fact that I am not eating. Hell I was hospitalized in October for my ed and everyone has been making sure I have been eating since then. I have put on like 30 lbs since then and it drives me crazy. Right now my dietitian is telling me to eat more fiber and that will let me lose weight. She wants me to have 25-30 g of fiber a day but thanks to fiber pills I have had 45g, 31g, 40g, 52g, and 60g of fiber this week I don't know if its because I am on my period or what but I haven't lost like anything sure I have lost a

This video is so sad. I like how it was edited to match pretty much the average eating disorder. First it starts off with something innocent like a simple diet or aspiring to be like a certain model, then gradually gets out of control. My heart goes out to anyone suffering from this horrible disease. I am so thankful I don't suffer from it. actually, anorexics tend to be the most well-read about the disease... they KNOW they have a problem, they KNOW it's unhealthy... they know it'll lead to osteoporosis, hair loss, menopause a screwed up digestive system etc.

it's a big control thing and the feeling of 'not being good enough'... it's a mental disorder and is very difficult to understand unless you are, or have been, anorexic yourself.

Marilyn Monroe was actually a size 14 for most of her career - she was made to lose weight for some movies. Was really harsh on her. No wonder she met an untimely end.

I have an ED but now after 12 years have 2 kids whitch I swore I would never have. I have been to the hospital several times AFTER I was supposeldy overy my eD with heart arrythmias.
