What me and my 2 other friends do when we play Is we all be leviathans and get the corrupters and get a bunch of energy. Then when we get in a battle the 3 of us put down all of our corrupters. So it's 3 of us with like 30 corrupters vs like 2 or 3 ships :D

another thing I suggest is that the shorthanded team should get more money for every little fighter killed so there is a chance for that team. So the more shorthanded a team is, the more shorter time the ship has to farm.

I see you got the upgrade-on-the-move thing. So usefull after you're done farming and being chased, you can upgrade speed right there and outrun them.

Thing is warp is less expensive than the mutate ability for the leviathan and warp lets u retreat back to the CC or Mothership to repair. (Also the mutate ability requires you to be out of combat for a certain time.) So warp is still viable.

the name of the 3rd beam for void ray is the Prismatic beam... it is important to note that the beam weapons of void ray's can not have range upgrades, however...

like sc2 melee, there is a "wiggle room" distance after you have locked on to your target that they can move farther than the initial range which is another reason that the void ray is insanely good at chasing in the early game.

All the times i've played this map, i have died in the first few minutes because i was farming pheonixs/ vikings and was caught out of position. Obviously it should be unforgiving, but should also allow for mistakes. Especially in the first 5-10 mins of the map.

Void Rays seem a bit over-powered, but it may just be that we players have to learn to fight them better.

The Carrier is really now more of a support/medium range ship. You really can't tank it like you could, especially against a Leviathan and Voidray pair.

May I just add that Void ray's hardened shield actually makes it an awesome tanker! 10 resistance on shields, which can be upgraded to 6-7k hp fairly early on is pretty good ;-) initially, I thought void rays are rather poor, but they indeed perform in some roles insanely well :D

Don't underestimate your missles, some of my most effective builds are missle spec, at the start of endgame you can have over 1000 midrange damage a volley, I get so many killing blows going for a Missile Spec

I've been using a ranged build lately, putting a lot of upgrades into Range (really?), Engines and Weapons, it works quite nicely, especially when you reach the point where your "short-range guns" outrange the Warp Prisms/Science Vessels.

Since I watched the first star battle vid released I've gotten quite into it. Its fun, can be done quickly or can last long, with everyone being durable enough to stand some chance.

The leviathan mutate ability is probably the best early farm ability in the game (and my overall favorite), being able to buy addition speed, damage, and armor in the field can make you much stronger than they would expect and far sooner without the downtime of having to warp back to base.

He changed corruptors, they only did 25 damage before and now it is 50/100 to massive. Before it was pretty easy to just get 10 armor and you would completely negate the corruptor damage, now they seem VERY dangerous!

This looks like a custom map worth of buying the SC2 for... since i dont really care about the normal/ground fighting game(s).

I hope the maps creator can add a respawn system of sorts, like when you die the star dock home thingy starts building a new ship for you, the longer depending on how much cash / how many upgrades you had on your old ship, and have the new ship maybe be like 50% worse than the old one was, or something else in that sense. Maybe it could increase the random games length.

My favorite build right now is carrier plasma barrage. Start out buying warp and 3 speed upgrades. Farm until you have 175 for plasma barrage. Spend everything else on energy upgrades; buy armor if it is needed. Upgrading the plasma barrage cooldown is optional.

This build works well for turning the tide of battle, killing capital ships, and scaring off attackers.

i had a corrupter build with 550 energy, feedback couldnt take down enough energy to save them alot of times. warp in and drop 10 corrupters thats 1k dps against capitol ships plus lvl 30 tentacles = pain.

@logoman6654 A few tips. Don't forget speed, Unless you are very cery fast of pulling a warp trap don't go out in the open completely on your own, and if you start getting low even if your are not being attacked, retreat unless you have a very good reason not to.

Oh just a friendly tip, the Constant Mutation ability wasn't introduced this patch, it has been in the game for a while. I don't know if you meant it that way but thats how it came off.

God do I love the Leviathan, awesome farmer, decent casting, and deadly at most ranges. Its a good thing they don't have a Feedback or Lockdown type spell or there would be lots of BAWWWW'ing of LEVI IS SO OP. God do I hate hearing that in starbattle.
