comes with one year warranty exclusive from yamaha and also comes with a CD-room software for you to import your midi to the computer or from the computer to the piano,I have a mac and a PC but I have only tried it with the PC. For now I use Finale 2012 as my notation software, MixCraft and Pro-tools as my recording and Producing Softwares, and MasterWriting as my Lyrics notation software. I have use my NP-V80 for all of them sync to my PC and it worked great..now I use it as a PROcontroller
to me the keyboard sounds very professional, and to be a keyboard an not a digital piano is very decent....The Keys have hammer actions, which means that you can controlled the weights of the keys making it closer to a real piano feeling,,,The speakers are really good but I recomend using an amp if you play in larger rooms, also the keyboard is very computer friendly.....
I know this video was posted w while ago but can anyone who has had personal experience with this keyboard tell me how the keys feel compared to a piano because Ive played the piano for quite some time now and am really used to the piano but i really dont like unweighted keys. so my question again is how do the keys weight on this keyboard feel in comparison to an acoustic piano
Thanks for the demo. About the voices, does it have anything like an old Hammond B3 voice (with the revolving Leslie tone cabinet) you here in a lot of classic 60s rock? thanks

I referenced this video in making the decision to buy one so I thought I'd share some detailed tech specs for y'all.
Great sound quality. Sends midi (USB) but won't receive. Use an 'insert cable' out of the headphone jack to split left and right into your mixer. Very comfortable and responsive keyboard. Very, very light weight and runs on batteries, too. Some limited on-board effects and basic sequencing.
The keys are full sized like a real piano. However they have no weight so they play light and fast. If you are disciplined and require a "real" piano feel, this keyboard is not for you.
@pro5896 As far as it goes with MIDI, I have no experience with Midi interfacing between PC's and other devices so I could not answer the first two questions for you, I'm afraid. As for the third question, it has a few synthesised sounds which work well with the intelligent arpeggiator feature as well as rhythms and styles which are of the trance genre however if that is the sole feature you require this keyboard, I would not buy, instead I would go for one of the Yamaha PSR keyboards.
@niahaa You can record onto a USB device such as a pen drive or portable hard drive and then connect that to the PC however you cannot record directly from the keyboard to the PC. You can, however, do this via the midi connection on the back of the keyboard, this does require a midi cable.
@musicmassproductions it doesn't have weighted keys as it is a portable piano, hence it's very light weight therefore the pressing of the keys is extremely light, just like a digital keyboard.
@musicmassproductions i know i have played many digital pianos im asking if it has weighted keys as a digital piano has or is it a keyboard w no weight at all?
@gameplays96 The NPV-80 has the intelligent arpeggiator function, USB connectivity, a slightly improved bank of voices and improved sound quality. If I'm honest, for a £30 increase in price or whatever it may be in other currencies is completely worth it!
Hello friend! I'm from Brazil. I'm thinking of buying this keyboard. Please get me out of a doubt. Is it possible I put a new style in memory of the keyboard or can I only use the styles that come standard? Thanks
@felipeanert Yes, there is a USB port on the side of the keyboard which can be used to connect a flash drive and new styles can be added from that. Unfortunately, most of these styles from the Yamaha Website are at a premium and new voices CANNOT be added. Also, these styles cannot be imported however they can be used from the flash drive when it is attached. I hope this helps.
Hey, Im looking for a keyboard with a choir settings. I want a keyboard voice that sounds like the the end of the song "Diary of a madman" by Ozzy Osbourne. If it does have a choir like that can you make a demo?
@GordonGriggs There are only four choir voices on the Piaggero and they don't stray away from most generic yamaha voices so unfortunately there isn't much along the lines of what you're looking for. I must admit, the choir sounds are nice on the keyboard, not much like the end of 'Diary of a Madman' though. If there's one thing to say though, if you're looking for a keyboard more specifically for range of voice, the piaggero probably isn't for you and you should look at the yamaha PSR range.
