  • 0:29 --> Looks like he blows up a car with ONE SHOT! :-P

  • This show sucked without Romano!

  • James Darren went on to become pretty good director as well.

  • If James Darren went through the Time Tunnel would he end up in the 23rd Century?

  • 0:41-0:54= Whee, Wow, Whoarh!

  • I can imagine Romano talking about Captain Kirk instead of T.J Hooker during a shooting scene.

    LOL :D

  • i was so lucky to have grown up in the 80's :)

  • @rollerballrico me to!

  • This is why I want to become a police officer!!:)

  • I want more episode's from TJ Hooker here on youtube... but in german please .. who can help??

  • I don't watch season 5.. no Adrian Zmed. :(

  • James Darren was Vic Fontaine in DS9

  • Heather hasn't aged!!!!

  • Again I cant believe I saw the entire series I never saw T.J. Hooker when it appeared on TV in new episodes. I loved the ending of the series it was great, better than most show serie endings these days.

  • Heather Locklear was a busy girl in the 80s between this and Dynasty.

  • This must have been after Adrian Zmed left

  • @sexysagi Yes it was Adrian Zmed was in only seasons 1-4, than left and never appeared in the 5th season.

  • Shatner was dominating in the 80s i guess. The Star Trek movies, Hooker & in other tv shows he played in.

  • so when that flaming car plunged into the water, how come the water didnt explode like those bikini atoll nuclear test footage?

  • So they cancelled the remaining seasons?!. Is it any idea to write to CBS and complanie :)

  • Can somebody tell me what time did T.J. Hooker air in the 5th season on a changed network on CBS thanks

  • Go Shat! Hard to believe the remaining 3 season were cancelled dvd release because of so called "poor sales" of the first 2 just like the Fall Guy which was cancelled after 1 season released on dvd. Should be a law to either release all or none.

  • Is is me or this op has more shots of locklear than other chars ?

  • Bahaaha, Heather Locklear was such a fucking cheap bimbo. I like how they're all in awe of the computer at 0:24.

When is the rest of this fucking show coming on DVD?

  • Any news on when the remaining seasons will be released on dvd?? Will they ever release it? /=

  • Does anyone else think that James Darren looks like a young Scotty?

  • @Bartman954 Not to change the subject but my mom said when i was born she named me after him

  • @Bartman954 Not to change the subject but my mom said when i was born she named me after him, Darreb

  • How you solve a crime @ :29

  • Rich Husky is a great name.

  • I do understand why the show got cancelled. After Vince Romano leavning the show, Hokker just seemes so lonely. It´s was these two that build this serie to what it became.

  • Why the h*ll did they change the intro text from flashing police lights, to just a simple yellow text as in the first seasons?

  • I never realized that this was James Darren...

So seeing all those T.J. Hooker episodes from a nerdy Trekkie perspective:

Captain Kirk went to the Holodeck and grabbed Vic Fontaine to go around and play Cop (-: That explains a lot (-:

  • He jumped from a helicopter down to a boat without losing the toupee? Yeah, right.

  • The budget was cut when it moved out of prime time to CBS late night for the last season. Adrian Zmed didn't want to take a salary cut, so he left.

  • they made 5 series??!!?!?

  • @JantEthoriel Yes, there were five seasons. Im not sure if season 5 is out on DVD or not.

To firmingitup, I believe the reason Adrian Zmed left was b/c he wanted to do movies, other gigs. As u know, his career took another turn that, to say in a positive way, could've had better results.

  • Adrian Zmed wasn't on the last season? Guess he couldn't take it any longer.

  • God, everybody's hair! Gotta love the 80s

  • Season 5 was only on CBS late night

  • Comment removed

  • I didn't realize this show ran for 5 seasons.

  • It started to look like 'Hunter' by season 5

  • John Davis did this theme.

You may also remember he did the theme to 90210.

  • It's kinda cool how ever season they seemed to have made some sort of change in their intro. Many TV's never changed it around or now adays don't even have any.

  • One of the corniest cops ever.

  • @IHateStaleCrackers FUCK YOU

  • this show made me want to be a cop when i was young, and made me a devotee of heather locklear

  • Heather is at that old computer deleting the photos that Shatner had of her ! :24 seconds

  • I like how they kept this seasons opening the same length, although they became one cast member short.

  • t.j.hooker is on quest tv look it up

  • did they write romano out of tJ Hooker, because i have watched the first few episodes of season 5, theres no mention of him leaving.

  • Yep. On a lot of shows back then, and even now, there's always that one up-and-coming star that becomes a diva and decides that they could do better on their own. Adrian Zmed was TJ Hooker's diva.

  • i managed to pick up the full 5 seasons of TJ Hooker on ioffer. Very pleased

  • i loved this show especially the hot cop

  • Shatner dedication in great new bio (All About Jeffrey hunter) at amazon!

  • At this time Heather Locklear was holding double duty for Aaron Spelling and Leonard Goldberg (although Goldberg produced the last and grittiest season of "Hooker" himself without Spelling) as Sammy Jo Dean on "Dynasty" as well as Ofc. Stacy Sheridan on "Hooker."

  • And this final season saw the show move from ABC to CBS... under the "CBS Late Night" stable.

  • did romano die on the show or he just left

  • From what I recall, he left the show on his own terms because he felt he could land better gigs. But his career didnt go far. If you go to wikipedia, there might be something on him.

  • Oh man that was such a great show!

Dammit i loved it, sadly its not shown anymore in germany... :(

Dont mess with the SHAT !

  • when i watch him "act" i shat my pants

  • Funny.

This was before fame turned Heather Locklear into a monster. She is a total piece of work now.

Also, the years have not been kind to Shatner.

  • @abalto The years have been VERY kind to Shatner considering he's 80 now and starring in a new hit sitcom playing a guy in his early 60's and looks it!

  • What happened to Zmed?

  • Love that '80s drum machine sound!

  • this theme is the best of all the tj hooker seasons in my humble opinion

  • @wotdoesthisbuttondo I prefered season 1's theme.

  • @wotdoesthisbuttondo Agreed!! This beginning is outstanding. It's hard to believe this series didn't run longer.

  • @bigbirdvinny 5 years is a pretty good run for a series, but I agree it was too short. Hope the movie is not a let down like The Starsky and Hutch movie.

  • @bananaramamark Movie?

  • @videozfann Yes, a movie. It was announced a few years ago, I have not heard any more about it. Don't know if it in production, cast or anything. Lots of big movies are behind,...Macgiver, Battlestar Galactica was due out in 2011, has not even started shooting yet. Don't think it is cast yet, last I heard Singer finally signed on to direct or produce, which is good as he was supposed to do the reboot but left to do X-Men, and Galactica sucked. Godzilla is a couple years behind too!

  • @bananaramamark I Googled. I didn't see any mentions of it after the summer of 2009. You may be aware there was a "T.J. Hooker" movie featured on the plane at the beginning of the second "Charlie's Angels" movie.

  • solving all those international high profile crimes yet they still kept them in uniform, TJ must have been pissed about not getting promotion. .

  • was the last five seconds at SDSU?

  • Wish they'd get the last three seasons o DVD.

  • Jesus..how hot was Heather Locklear!! Loved the 80's..

  • @MGMLV these episodes from season which were on in 1990 -91, not the 80's.

  • Please release this on DVD !!

  • I'd completely forgotten that James Darren was in this!

  • What?!.....No Adrian Zmed?! What the hell! I can't believe he left the series!

  • Holy S**T,Locklear at 00:39. WE so need this series on dvd.

  • HL was smokin' *lol*

One of ABC's flagship shows in the 80's.

  • I thought ABC but I was not 100 percent sure between ABC or NBC. I think the final season move to CBS late night.

    Heather is still HOTT!

I think this and FallGuy were ABC's big ones at the time as far as the adventure dramas.

  • seriously good theme tune

  • The 1980s were chock-full of great television themes.

  • @davejago - For reals

  • hahahaha me too

  • LOL @ 0:24! "Shatner, don't tap the $8,000 computer, please"

  • What the?! It looks like when he shot the .38 that it blew up the police car! Gotta love the '80s television!

  • Does anyone know where I can find this amazing theme tune in MP3?

  • I tracked one down

  • i love tj hooker

    star trek series and movies

and tekwar the best william shatner

    i love it...

  • Who couldn't like the SHAT!

  • This is absolutely the most awesome show into ever. It's got Shatner, a rockin' theme and cars flying into the freakin' sky. You just can't top it.

  • TJ Hooker is ranked as one of the best cop shows on TV .

  • "He's dead TJ" - Dr. McCoy

  • Haha Shatner's hairpiece at 1:08

  • Shatner, Romano, Locklear forever!!!!!!!

  • I forgot this lasted 5 years. I must have stopped watching in 84. Or it was on opposite better shows. Still though pretty amazing William Shatner jumping around at the age of 55. But heck a major network show was huge money and along with all the Trek films he was raking it in.

  • heather locklear is one of the most beautiful womens on earth the look in her eyes at 00.56,,,,, gorgeus;)

  • Big fan of the series myself back from when I was a little kid. <3 Heather, Shatner + Zmed rocks. :)

  • Heather Locklear is beautiful then and now!!!

  • Yep!

  • This was my favourite TV Theme and show for its time. I still love it!! I like all the themes as they progressed through the seasons. I bought season 1 on DVD. It rocks!! Love the theme, thanks for posting ;o)

  • THE THEME SONGS TO T J HOOKER ARE GREAT!!! There are three seperate themes. Seasons 1-2 had one, season 3 another, and seasons 4-5 the final one. I like the season 3 one the best, followed by the 1-2 versions, and seasons 4-5 last. BUT ALL OF THEM ARE STILL GREAT BY THEMSELVES.

  • William Shatner: The Man, The Legend

    Star Trek (tv and movies)

    TJ Hooker

    Rescue 911

    What is next!

  • denny crane boston legal and hard to beleive wiiliam shatner is 77 years old

  • Shatner is legend, check out my retro channel i just started and comment if you like.

  • This was a big hit in the UK too - I think it was primetime on BBC1

  • crazyeehorse it was on a saturday night at 7:45 on ITV 1980's classic cop show please if you have any comments send em to me please

  • That theme song ranks among the top ten television theme songs I've ever heard in my life. Who the hell was the composer? Cuz it rocks.

  • the theme song was done by a gentleman by the name of mark snow

  • It's hard to believe "Captain Kirk" was in a cop series.

  • The Shatner...

  • Damn What did happen to Ramano....Heck you can't have 4 Adam 30 with out him. I need to order it from Walmart. And your right ABC hasnt had a hit in that time slot since.

  • I had forgotten all about the final season of T.J. Hooker on CBS late nights. ABC screwed up cancelling the show as it has never had a successful show in that Saturday slot in the 22 years since Hooker was cancelled. And what's with Hooker with no Adrian Zmed? That's like Beavis without Butthead. It just isn't happening.

  • Romano was the best

  • this was a great show loved it

  • It's interesting to note that by this series Heather Locklear had almost as much time in the opening credits as Big Bill Shatner. Also TJ looks as if he's one doughnut away from a coronary in the opening shot. Just think if that had happened the world would have been spared the film Star Trek fucking Five

  • Well, Heather was pretty big at this point. This was the only season where she was a full-time cast member on both Dynasty and TJ Hooker (in previous seasons, she only did a limited number of Dynasty episodes per year). CBS must have been happy to have the star of a top 10 primetime series on its latenight schedule.

  • James Darren was hot then and still is. He was the only reason I watched this show.

  • Dude! Hooker's just not Hooker without the Zmed!

  • Heather Locklear was (and is) a cuttie, though.

  • Yeah, definitely nowhere near as exciting as the original theme. Had Adrian Zmed bailed out by that stage?

  • Certainly not as good as the season 1 opener, and the remixed theme sucked as well. I think this was right before ABC cancelled the show. It moved to CBS latenight in the 1987 season, shown once a week in the slot now occupied by The Late Sho.

  • TJ Hooker first ran as a mid-season replacement show in the 1981-82 TV season and made original 1st-run eps. until the end of the 1985-86 TV season (CBS-era). and yes it did pop up in reruns on CBS's latenoght sked at the time.

  • Actually, it ran until 1987.
