native is so easy because the highest level unit is 25. I play Prophecy of pendor where the armies are bigger and the units are tougher (An army of 300 elves whose level ranges from 45-60) or a 500 Demonic Army all on horses with 500HP and 90 Armor and the rider has 150hp and a body armor of 82)

People (newbies) are saying Sea Raiders are difficult as opponents while starting out, not when they are using non-Native Mods with armor that makes a critical hit do only 4 damage ( 1:52 ) and normal hits 0 dmg. Also you are dishing out 80-ish damage at only 20% speed bonus with (cutting) weapon... There is no one-handed sword that does over 40 damage in vanilla M&B. Overall, an average 12 year old could have done much more efficient job here. You sir, have failed to prove your manliness.

@urthurian Wow, bitter much? First this is the Sword of Damocles mod, it (at least at this time) didn't change combat much at all. My sword is a plain vanilla sword, skill is how you cause damage, you need to hit at the right spot, time and speed, my one hand skill is insanely high (naturally) My armour is standard lordly plate, the best of the best but no cheating there, again it is about being hit at the right speeds because the base armour value absorbs most (maybe all) of the damage.

@urthurian Have you even played M&B for more than 3 in-game days? High skills and good gear translate to 1 or 2 hit kills from horseback and can mitigate damage to 0-6 per hit. This guy is legit.

They are easy to kill: 1 handed battle axe (for shield smash bonus) 2 steel shield and a lance, pretty good horse. You can even solo em. Just rush as many as you can with lance, if they manage to kill a horse such as charger then go infantry with 2 steel shield and battle axe, if you have a bt skill you shop em trough alone too.

Sea raiders aren't that tough - I soloed 70+ of them using a jousting lance, a courser and the biggest, most durable shield I could find at level 3. The jousting lance is dirt cheap and it does considerable damage just like any other lance and is blunt, all you need then is a few points in prisoner management and you'll get 100k in around an hour or two. The biggest trick to it is circling them at the start until they run out of projectiles, they tend to hit sometimes too, hence the shield.

@Joggaa18 Well, if you paused you could see he is using the hardest settings, bar realistic saves. So unless you use the AI mods then this is what the 'hard' AI looks like. It doesnt improve anything except their combat ability, unless you use mods which can make them work in units.

Sea Raiders often have a bow, but don't use it dedicated. Archers tend to go down much much faster.

He did that by putting damage to team on 1/4. There is no way he could have done this without his companions dieing. He just edited the difficulty settings part in this video.

I believe  you need to open the normal menu first before you can open the difficulty menu. He goes to difficulty menu instantly.

There is no editing. I actually didn't mean to show the difficulty screen, I accidentally hit it (which is why it took me a bit to get it off.) I always play with the same full damage, lordly armour makes a huge difference.

Hmmm I don't know. Since that vid I tried to do the same thing with a pimped out team and it actually worked. Although I lost 2 team mates (out of 10) around 100 sea riders got owned. On full dmg both to me and team.

PS. There is no need to go to normal menu. if you press esc you instantly go to difficulty menu.

my favourite sword in the game is a bastard sword which is 1h/ 2handed which allows me to keep a kickass shield and imba bow and arrows even if u have a crude and kinda shitty bastard sword the versatility in going 1handed with shield and then switch to 2handed is very nice btw nice vid again m8 keep them coming ;d

I think its a strong war bow..

Companions are all the same really, they aren't geared for any type of combat. There are minor differences to their starting stats, but by level 30 those disappear to what you want them to be.

I gear all my to be heavily armoured, on heavy horses, and with a one handed weapon, shield, bow and arrow. It makes them tanks, cavalry, and archers all in one. This is my preference, there are plenty more options.

Red is enemy, you are the arrow and your facing direction is indicated. There are no textures so you need to guess what is where.

No, the mod has a more metal soundpack which you can put into Native or any mod. The downside is that not metallic armour sounds like metal.

The armours might be from this mod only, but there are many armour retexture mods and horse mods out there that work for native.

Sword of Damocles mod. The weapons and armour are very similar, just slight alterations and more options. The bandits don't change at all as far as I know.
