Burris will be taken seriously because he is needed. They can attempt to count him out all they want to but at the end of the day it's his vote they'll be courting and that makes him a valued senetor.
Love him or hate him, his vote is needed at this crucial time.
Oh please. I'm a liberal and I know this scum bag has got to go. Americans want legislators that do not sell out to corporate interests and lobbyists like most republicans do. It's hard to do that with Burris on your team. He needs to go.
I thought Roland Burris got thrown out of the Senate for corruption because he took bribe money from Rod Blagojevich. I guess when you have a filibuster proof majority in Congress, you are above the law.
You thought wrong on both counts. First, Blagojevich solicited bids from less qualified candidates, and when allegations arose, he appointed the man with the best credentials in a futile attempt to dispel suspicion. Second, it's not a filibuster-proof majority when Blue-Bitch Democrats align with corporatist Republican cronies.
Apparently, when you ARE above Constitutional and International Law is when a puppet department of justice authorizes it and your last name is bush or cheney
This guy is an ego-maniac assclown. His approval rating in Illinois is in the toilet, and Democrats in Washington and Illinois want as little to do with him as possible.
House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) said that the individual health insurance mandates included in every health reform bill, which require Americans to have insurance, were like paying taxes. He added that Congress has broad authority to force Americans to purchase other things as well, so long as it was trying to promote the general welfare".
To all you assclowns 30 years and younger now 12% to 18% of your pay will get you mandatory health insurance. Fucktards, haha, Go ObamaCare.
Roland Burris is a real jerk

I don't care about Senator Burris' past. What's important is that he is fighting for us and standing up to the Insurance Mafia.

The question you should be concerned with is:
If this passes, who will fight for us against the Government Mafia?

Shut up, Burris. You bought your seat. No one in politics actually respects you, let alone the state of Illinois.
Quick jumping on the bandwagon and go crawl in a hole and hide.
