I thought Roland Burris got thrown out of the Senate for corruption because he took bribe money from Rod Blagojevich. I guess when you have a filibuster proof majority in Congress, you are above the law.

First, Blagojevich solicited bids from less qualified candidates, and when allegations arose, he appointed the man with the best credentials in a futile attempt to dispel suspicion. Second, it's not a filibuster-proof majority when Blue-Bitch Democrats align with corporatist Republican cronies.
