Thank you for your video, especially how patiently and slowly you explain things so that they make total sense. My Nana was just finishing teaching me to crochet (I'm 24 now and wanted to start doing it) but just when I thought I had it down, she passed away. You just explained it so well that it all came back to me! I am edging a blanket for my nephew now! It may sound silly, but I really appreciate your video, because my Nana would be proud. She really wanted to teach me. God bless you! Terra
wow that was very helpful I"m just learning to crochet and I was making a dishcloth for a friend of mine and wasn't what else to do to it. I'll try that
Thanks for the great video. My grandmother taught me to crochet when I was a teen, and I have recently started up again after many years. I am looking to add a scalloped edge to a scarf I made. This pattern will be great:)
Hello Conicuts .. i have 'en following TJW's videos for crocheting but wud certainly want to extend my crochet wid new videos from different masters like TJW or you or any other.. plz keep on posting ur videos for us .. thanks take care
Wow! I am a knitter... and have watched so very many crochet videos on UTube, trying to figure out the single, double, half-double crochet concepts and stitches. Your video is VERY clear on how to do the single, and double crochet. I want to add this scalloped edging to a knitted blanket and now understand how to do it. THANKS
The video showing is great. We can do the stitches if shown a step-by-step picture. Our problem is getting a pattern and following the instructions. Any ideas for us to get over this hurdle. We just seem to understand what it is telling us what to do. Thanks.
If you look at the upper right beside of the date the video was added you will see (more info)...click that and you'll find the instructions written out. I used a combination of sc and dc.
Sorry it took me so long to comment back. Ok, the dishcloth pattern is a knitted one. It is just 5 knit, then 5 purl stitches across for about 5 rows. Then alternate. It's called a basket weave.
Last week I saw a baby blanket that was totally awesome. It had a triple ruffle of three seperate pastel colors. Any idea on how to do this? Small shell/small hook, and progress to larger each size with each color??
Thanks Connie for an easy way to dress up any edge! I'm using your scallops on a neck warmer in a contrasting color. Excited!

I would have to see what you are talking about to know how they achieved the look you are talking about.
