  • Greetings from 1987. RIP Cassete tape and walkman era and good old MTV

  • WHITESNAKEEEEEE (H) !

  • This song brings back so many memories of me and my ex. 1988 will live forever for me in this song.

  • ゲイリームーアばりのプレイ

  • Don't turn away before the night is over, Bennett. :' )

  • Something I'll never understand:

Back around 1987, awesome, stab-into-your-soul rock like this was HUGE. Then...

"Hip-Hop" and dance crap took over the music scene, starting around 1989-1990.

    WHAT THE FUCK happened..?

  • @bjggjb Heavy metal was very popular, yes, but it was never mass market. That's why all the heavy metal departments of record studios were always upstairs in little rooms and all the pop was downstairs. Whitesnake were awesome, but Kylie Minogue started in 1987. How can Whitesnake compete with Stock Aitken Waterman?

  • @leatwix Many forget Whitesnake were awesome before THIS album... David Coverdale never topped this album simply because he sacked the band after all their parts were recorded and in doing so he lost John Sykes who wrote the majority of the songs if not them all. The subsequent album Slip of the Tongue I like but it certainly wasn't anywhere near '1987'. The demise of DC and Sykes relationship was also the demise of Whitesnakes creativity, even with Beach/Aldrich the last album sucked balls.

  • @leatwix I don't agree with this! Whitesnake, though formed in 1977, was kick ass in the 80's. To anyone who is true Rock Fan, Kylie Minogue doesn't hold a candle to ANYONE Rock Band from this era.

But... opinions are like assholes... everyone's got one! So, you're entitled to yours. =)

  • @rockqueenpromotions No no, I totally agree, Whitesnake beat Kylie Minogue hands down. That's not what I'm saying. What I'm saying is that Kylie Minogue got much more coverage and vastly more popular due to her soap star beginnings and catchy pop tunes. I'm certainly not saying she's better, I'm just saying that her music style is more mainstream. It's sad that's the case too. In a perfect world, live rock bands would be mainstream and teeny-bop stuff would be for little kids.

  • @bjggjb haha!!! music industry.......

  • @bjggjb haha!!! music industry.......

  • @bjggjb Nirvana and Pearl Jam "Killed" this kind of rock at the end of the 80's. I have, and always will, LOVED the 80's. Musically speaking it was one of the best decades ever in my opinion. I'm glad hard rock is FINALLY starting to make a comeback! =) Always Rock On!! \m /

  • @bjggjb I've asked that question many times as I'm scanning over and over to find something that makes sense and speaks to your life and emotions. Where did my 80's "Hair Bands" go? I miss their heart, soul, and tunes daily. Thank God for youtube... I've enjoyed many songs I thought I'd never hear again. :) BRING BACK THE 80'S MUSIC!!!!!

  • this is what i call timeless!

  • @ramoradal7 Music like this was rock&roll's death rattle. Most everything that came after 1988 or so has been crap...

  • It's impossible to find tabs for this one...fucking sucks dick

  • Oh I love this wonderful song!

Don't turn away from me baby,

    No, no, no, no.

    Don't put me away,

Don't walk away from me darling

    I need your love,

    Oh baby,

I need your love to rescue me,

An' I'm coming for you, baby...

  • The semi solo drum is very similar to Blue Murder's Jelly Roll. The Sykes touch .

  • Where the fuck can I find tabs?

  • Babes, I miss you loads: ....Don't turn away from me baby

    No, no, no, no

    Don't put me away, no

Don't walk away from me darling

    I need your love, mmm

    Ooh baby

I need your lovin' next to me

And I'm coming for you, baby...

  • Maybe this isn't the best choise of song to say it, 'cause there isn't that much guitar skill in it, but JOHN SYKES IS EASELY THE BEST GUITARIST WS EVER HAD...

  • @davyaelmans Amen to that !

  • What a song!

  • This album is timeless,,,,,classic....UNREAL !!!!!!

  • @69masterone

I know !! I just listened to the whole thing all the way through, not a bad track there, and amazing musicianship. IMO this is the best album of the 80s and my personal favorite of all time! This is gorgeous and has a great groove I'm going to perform it at an open mic night.

  • @69masterone

It is indeedy an interesting experience to get back to this after 20 yrs or so. This stuff now sounds modern, which it didn't back then, and Whitesnake easily outnumber today's bands like Linkin Park, Creed and what have you. Maybe they were ahead of their times but we just didn't notice. :)

  • Turn Around, Forever, I am with you.

  • song from the heart,great

  • Como eles conseguiam um som pesado desses com uma letra tão sentimental? Maravilhoso.

  • i forgot about this song, dont ask me how, one of my old favs thanks ;)

  • Love it.

  • is it possible i must ask..

  • Great song.

  • A voice in worldclass

  • eh beh. Bellissima ovviamente
