  • Its hard to believe that zappa wrote the music....note for note, and all they did was play it.

  • An alternate take of the dance scene from Back to the Future, in which the wrong McFly gets up to play with the band.

  • Frank Zappa composed the music for this film. I think the film was made in 1964.

  • @Monkofmagnesia Yeah and I think this is where Zappa got his 'genghis' chin from... :)

  • The guy makes epilepsy look Coooooool !

  • who says they didn't do drugs in the 50's?

is this like a refer madness thing?

  • timothy carey.

He was one of a kind

  • Jim Morrison saw this.

  • Just watched "The Killing" and Timothy Carey stole the movie with about 3 minutes of screen time! Can't believe I've never heard of him! Officially my new favorite actor!

  • He looks like a giant compared to the other musicians. Is this an illusion? Was it intentional?

  • @doireallyneed1 No he was taller than your average male. WAY past 6ft.

  • nicholas cage must have watched this before he played in "Wild at Heart." =)

  • I got the stink foot

  • Was rockabilly this?

  • We all need more crazy visionary maverick individuals like Timothy Carey more than ever in today's bland homogenized media.

  • This is Art !

  • also known as the worlds worst movie...shot in El Monte ha ha Frank Zappa scored it . well worth seeing it's right up there with Plan 9 from outer space.

The Late Michael Jackson cited Timothy Carey in this movie as one of his greatest inspirations.

    ccm

  • that's just sad, brother....just sad

  • This Video is of THE GREAT (Deceased) Actor Timothy Agoglia Carey from the Film "The World's Greatest Sinner". (It's NOT Just "Some High Dude"). THANK YOU For Posting it!!! Everyone Should Google Search Him & Check out This & His Other Films. He appeared in Main Stream Cinema as well in Cameo roles.

  • This is gr8! LOL! Can you plz post up the whole film?

  • Dude is high as shit.

  • looks like a beat 50's porn star

  • anyone tell me, who is he? marylin manson? hahaha

  • All apologies for the mis-spelling of Mr. Cassavetes name.

  • You might even recognize Tim in not only "East of Eden" and "One-Eyed Jacks" with Brando, as well as more than a few Casavettes movies.

His greatest role, to me was was in Kubrick's "Paths of Glory" with Kirk Douglas.

One of the true great character actors of this or any other time in the history of motion pictures.

  • Taped it on TCM last night. Probably the best print available, certainly better than the VHS example I paged huge money for. Tim is obviously the inspiration for The Legendary Stardust Cowboy.

  • On TCM this weekend (4/17/09)!!!

  • so shaking seizure legs got the girls back in the day huh?

  • that and the fact Carey had a huge cock which he put to good use in his porn days.

  • R.I.P. Ray Dennis Steckler , dead from An Apparent HeartAttack , January 7th 2009.

  • Didn't know that about Ray Dennis Steckler, but he carved out a pretty wonderful and individual career in a way that would be totally impossible now, and we get to enjoy his films forever! Thank you Mr. Stickler.

  • I've had a copy for years

  • the only thing interesting thing about this film was that someone was trying to tell us something but its too late, who was in that coffin ???

  • I think you might be relatively lonely in your contention that that's the ONLY thing interesting about this film.

  • Just saw it for the first time and love it. Does anyone know where I could find a copy.

  • Showing on TCM Underground on october the 24th. Amazing film, possibly my absolute favourite.

  • ive officially seen it all

  • Am I the only one who sees the genesis of the Mothers' stage act here?

  • Yep. You're the ONLY one...

  • Score by Frank Zappa.

  • He`s a cross between Cab Calloway James Brown, and Link Wray in this video..........

Please re-release this classic in DVD!!!

  • I have a dvd-r of it....one of the top ten cult films ever unleashed...no shit.

  • I wish that people who think that the 50s were staid and conformist would watch this; that band backing Carrey is approaching 70s No Wave!

  • I need to see this, basically coz Frank Zappa scored it! Any Chance??

  • If ya want one ...I have some extras.

  • How much for the extras?

  • Horribly short notice here, but for all you Los Angelinos who want to have your mind blown by this insane film, it's screening late tonight at the Silent Movie Theatre on Fairfax. Google "CineFamily" for details. Do not miss this movie, it's a genius kick in the teeth.

  • Tim CARREY was a great actor

and do not forget that Franck ZAPPA wrote the score of this movie

  • HOLY ROLLER!

  • IS this one on DVD? Where can I find it?

  • Please

    please

    please

  • He must have taken some inspiration from James Brown in this scene. I have always loved Tim Carey's over the top characters (The Killing '56, and 2 of the Beach Party movies )

  • John Cassavetes said that The Worlds Greatest Sinner is brilliant like einstein brilliant. When David Koresh did his thing with the Branch Davidians Carey just freaked and said ...see I told you. I really wish it were available on DVD. There's a scene where Carey convinces a deciple that they are not worthy and then convinces them to commit suicide. When Jim Jones happened Carey just said...see I told you. I truely great film I never saw but know about.

  • I found the entire film on google video once.

If it's not there anymore you can try and find a torrent and download it.

  • He actually said it was EISENSTEIN brilliant. Comparing its style to that of a famous theoretical physicist wouldn't make much sense.

  • Translation please ?

  • Better then Elvis. I gotta get this movie NOW

  • Gone Gone Gone!

  • more tim carey, PLEASE!!

  • who is this guy???

  • Frank Zappa did the score for this movie

  • Frank Zappa also said it was rubbish, i think it was one of the first things he did musically as well.

  • @gileswalker

Zappa never got paid, so 'it's the world's worst movie', that's his 'tude. He was really struggling at the time I think. Zappa had done almost nothing musically which was remunerative, a couple cheesy bar bands. I think this is around the time he had a greeting card designing gig.

Which produced some some real doozies.

  • YES!

  • HANDS DOWN THE GREATEST ROCK AND ROLL MOVIE EVER!!!! TIM CAREY IS/WAS THE KING!! thanks for posting this gem :)
