This is so cheap. Its actually made by Air-Tech, a cheap Chinese company. There many copies of this plane, being sold by many retailers, with different badges. I hate he makes it sound like they actually developed this EDF. All their products are like this.

The thundercat is very nice, flies great and fast but you can not get the roll rate shown in the video with the stock short arm servos that come with the plane. I install some hi-tec 9 gram servos with long horns on them to get the roll rate to match what you see in the video. Thanks for the video Pete keep them coming.

I have this plane but limited specs on the Speed Control. Is it able to handle 4 cells?

@moonlit20m Couldn't find the specs either.

I did 2 short 1.5 minute flights, and ESC came down barely warm, and Lipo was warmish. It was only a 4S 2150 20C. I'm more curious now as to whether the EDF unit can take the extra rpm but it seemed to be running very smooth. Time will tell :)

I've owned a Jetiger, the only thing it shares with the Thundercat is the fuselage (and maybe servos?).

With same 3S lipo, stock thundercat performance = my Jetiger with upgraded E-Flite Delta V 480 65mm EDF.

Tested on 4S yesterday, loving the grass take-offs :)

this one is way over priced in your site.... i had one similar an if flew just as well even better and it only cost me 60$ including batteries ... i can understand shipping costs but 150S not including battieries and shipping, is a rip off....

@stevethomas277 hehe.. nah, sadly I don't make any money on my RC habbit working for Pete or anyone else; I only dump money INTO it. I'm not sure what you mean about my grammar, but I'd rather watch paint dry than argue about grammar and spelling on YouTube. :)

An update on the plane.. I have put it into the ground a few times now (mosty pilot error or bad luck with a hand launch). So far 5-minute epoxy has done miracles in putting it back together.

It would probably be a huge mistake to try to fly this with no expo, ie. stock RTF controller. I'd kill it too!!

Pete, you are one H E L L of a Pilot. Even on those Windy Cali' days , you are extremely talented. Keep up the good work and keep bringing in these awesome EDF's. I have one of these and love it! I was surprised actually how well it fly's in windy conditions and slow flying without taking a nosedive & tip-stalling. Another thing over the Parkzone is it's affordable and an EDF! No PROP!

Peat thats the first time I have heard you use that excuse for not using the included radio. I have never seen you fly a jet on a non computer radio

@garrrbo Pete will not fly them on stock radios. Cuz we all know all them great flights on BH come due to a high profile computerized radio pete uses ;) Try to fly these birds with stock radio and you will see its not that easy. I do these testings all times. See me fly F117 with my Futaba and see great smooth flight, See same me flying F117 with Stock 2.4G radio and see crashes and crappy flight. Now what would be answer. Hope I do not make Pete mad.

There is a mutual respect for the people here. I said in the video my TX was left ON and the AA's ran out of power to safely fly. So I did not want to waste a day and go buy AA batteries. Listen to yourself. This is a 3 Channel Delta EDF. I can have all the computer in the world and it will not change

@alishanmao the flight performance. If the aircraft is 6 plus channels, a computer radio can make the flight smoother. This is a RTF aircraft that we worked with the manufacturer to make it this fast. You do not know what and how we did so please do not compare it to the Jet Tiger or call it a re branded Jet Tiger. Wow where did the mutual respect go? You are in the industry too. You are entitled to your opinions but do not go insinuating if you do not know me.

@alishanmao Even with the stock radio, those tight manueveurs are still possible, i use an blitzrcworks/art-tech 4 channel 2.4ghz radio from my original rtf blitzrc f4u corsair, no dual rates or expo or any fancy stuff, and i can fly my 50mm f/a-18 in a similar fashion. And also considering that this is a delta wing airplane with lots of wing area, it should be even more stable than my f/a-18 so a non computer/or stock radio would handle this thundercat just fine.

@Tamilflyer150 agreed.. I fly it on my DX6i now, but the stock radio worked fine. DR and expo definately help but they aren't required. It's not a starter plane (despite what the product descripion says) so don't expect the radio to make it one.

Good jet, I am sure people you do not wanna fly it with stock radio that is supplied with it. it will be a definite crash for the speeds this jet can take. You must use your own radio ( a good one, like Dx6i or futaba, jr etc) Its a beautiful plane.

I bought one of these and just flew it for the first time today. I'm getting back into RC so still building my chops, but I was amazed at how stable and controllable it is. The quality of the plane, electronics and components is solid. You can't beat this for for this price.

I flew it half throttle only so far and it's still pretty fast at that. I can't wait to get it up to full throttle!

@RCFLIGHTHELP A Funjet is also an Airframe with "recommended" electronics to purchase. This is a PnP out of the box performance. This airframe leave a TON of possibilities to make it faster. The Funjet is also a Pusher Prop. This is an EDF. There is plenty of space under the canopy for a Castle ESC, 5S 2200, and a Mighty Mite set up from Hoffman.

@bananahobby The FunJet also comes in a receiver ready version and it works really well. I highly doubt that the plane in the video could go 120mph without major modifications. FunJets' don't need any modifications to the airframe to go 120 mph. The FunJet Ultra comes PNP and does 124 mph :)

The arttech jetiger is 100% identical except for color, im guessing BlitzRCworks bought enough bulk from a china factory to be allowed a rebrand. And that identical model is available from many hongkong shops for about 25% cheaper then bananahobby.
