  • So why did you thank Steve Jobs? Does he do the R and D for his Corporation? No. You bought it. You take care of it, Mr, I can pay for a 2000 euro computer. You got money for that, You got money to fix it.

  • I was looking for this problem for other users as well. I have a 21.5 inch imac and i changed like 3 displays already. I suppose it's just dust and i should clean it myself since it's no longer covered by warranty. You were right it's crap since the proper tool would be a toilet plunger.

  • open it and clean it..it's really simple dude.. there's a possibilty to gt the glass off easily

  • @solidworkattack2 Much more complicated than that, unfortunately. Dust is behind the LCD sandwiched right before the backlight. You can't get to it unless you take apart the whole machine. There's a 32+ page forum thread about this issue over at the official Apple support community. There's also a petition started over at Change.org to try and get Apple to acknowledge this issue.

Pozz

  • Isto njesra i kod mene, ima opcija sa čišćenjem, video: iMac 27" Repair - Removing the Glass, Ram, and LCD pa probaj. Nije do Jobsa ;)

  • I agree with Koreto17 I have had my screen replaced 3 times, and i have just got it back, this time they replaced the graphics card. They even bullied me into buying The Apple Care Plan, because i had only about a month left on the years warranty. I knew it would happen again, and i was not going to pay about £400 Yes it did happen again. The problem remains. A spokesperson were it went to get fixed said thats a disgrace! I would take it higher?

  • Odkle si ??? xD

  • buy a real computer not apple crap. The only thing that is good is the iphone only after you jailbreak it :D

  • i got the same problem with my 21,5 inch mac,,,,i had that when the mac is only 6 month old.....

  • pretty sure the suction cups method doesnt help with this. I have the same thing and just tried taking the screen off and cleaning the one under it. The dirt is even under the second screen so still couldn't get to it :(

  • I have the same problem. There is no way I'll go buy "good quality suction cups" and clean a new product, every few month!

This is at product failure wich Apple will have to fix for us... Go complain in the stores please! I will.

  • I didn't replaced it yet, but it is covered by apple care...

I don't know if problem will show up again, when the screen is changed.

  • Just got the same problem. The dust is under the second glass. How do you fix it? Did they change your monitor?

  • dood all u got to do is get some good quality suction cups, plop them on the corners of your glass/ weird ass kind of plastic screen, and gently pull the glass away from the actual lcd screen, get a micro fiber cloth (same cloth they use to clean eye glasses) and gently wipe the lcd screen AND the inside of the glass and the just plop the screen back in ( watch out, cuz ther is 3 or 4 prong tooths on the bottom to align the glass) and then just redo the same process every few months...

  • I'm experiencing the same problem! blotches in both top corners. Bought it new 3 months ago! Hope they replace it, I will find out next week. Did they replace yours? At first I thought it was me and so I bought and tried several different cleaning products, then I noticed on google search that many have had these problems.

  • @artstylevideo firma je uzela, a ne ja...

  • Pa sto si uzeo tog iMaca kad si znao da ima problem vec 4 godine :):)

  • the dust is above pointer, covering it

  • @asacchi011, Have You solved that problem? Can You tell me what is the mouse pointer behaviour when You move it around stains/dust. Does pointer hide behind the stain/dust or is it above it?

  • Remove the front panel cover and clean it. It's not that hard. ;) The cover is just mounted with magnets, it's easy to remove. You can see a short tutorial I found here: /watch?v=WKOf4I-sPEk

  • @alexey2Kde

removing panel wouldn't solve this problem... dust is under second glass panel.

  • you speak englis like borat.

  • @zlapatika and you spell like a retard.

  • @zlapatika he is borat
