As the Boss herself said to Snake, the only things a soldier has are the mission and his country. Things like honor, desire for personal glory, or affection/attachment to one's comrades are things that a soldier should never have.

So if you think about it, this type of strategy is EXACTLY what the Boss would've wanted, since he's treating her as just another enemy to kill, not as a former friend and mentor. There's no sentimentality in the way he fights, and that's how she wanted it.

I don't know, I like to use several weapon in the way they are intended when I use snake, and the boss is quite pragmatic too, this would feel quite right. It's just that chaining stun granades looks more like a glitch than an attempt to make them realistic.

The first time I fought The Boss I only used CQC. It was a lot more satisfying to beat her at her own game, especially after she continuously owns you during the rest of the story :P.

@ichirakudreamer Snake eater is alot better story and creativity wise, and to me feels longer and more fulfilling to play, but mgs4 looks way better, has a large weapon and tech selection, and has some very cool gameplay mechanics.

My strategy *since I can never get her in CQC the first time, or when she charges* is to lose the first charge, knock her down afterwards and shoot her, and then run away and lie down in the flowers. Equip the thermal goggles and whatever weapon *I don't recommend the MK22 until you have infinite face paint* and hold R1, and press L2 and R2 at the same time to prop yourself up and take three shots at her. It's hard to keep the 2 buttons held down, AND shoot, but it worked for me on extreme.

good stategy for you equip whatever camo is best out of what you have got equip thermal goggles to see her a bit better and equip the mosin nagant tranq rifle go to the edge of the map shoot her once unequip the rifle run to the other side of the area shoot her again with the tranq rifle then repeat once her stamina bar is on nothing run up to her and collect your snake camo.

i think it had something to do with performing a CQC move on her at the same time she performs one on you, then you move the analog stick, if you do it right her CQC move will fail, now you take this opportunity to punch her until you knock her out, then you use the mk22 while shes on the ground

lol k u guys are wrong kinda anyways in mgs1 u play as solid sanke in mgs2 u play as solid snake in the beginging of da game otacon saids this int no shadow moses & u also play as Raiden. in mgs 3 u play as naked snake = big boss. solid snake and liquid + solidus snake are clones from Big boss but liquid dies in mgs1 & solidus dies in mgs2. And yes mgs3 is number 1 becuse its in the 1960s and mgs1 is in 2001 i think so...

While most of that is right, the last part is wrong...

Liquid = Liquid Snake.

Liquid was NEVER a part of MGS4.

It was Ocelot, convincing HIMSELF and everyone else that he was Liquid, but during the last fight with SOLID(Old) Snake, his true personality was coming back, which is shown in the health bar, aswell as his fighting style.

The "You're Pretty Good" part is a give away aswell.

So basically -- Liquid Ocelot was an act, Ocelot fooled everyone.
