i have a question:

how does this kind of camera fair in the dark with minimal (very minimal) lighting?

I have a Sony miniDV camera... u kno... little cheap home movie one... and it sux at filming in a dark room and that doesnt work for my friends and my little home made horror movies so i have been searching for a camera that takes nice shots in the dark

Sony HDR-HC1 is awesome for low light - it also has the nightshot feature which comes in handy.
