Could you update and comment on the noise ? Is that noise only from the Camera ...or is it from the Super Joule Ringer? Sorry if the question seems silly ...because I have a Hydroponic Strawberry field project for this summer and I need to light up all night every night 24/7 with led panel that are powered by 9v AC ... If I can get read of the AC and power all this by solar panel and battery I am golden :)
So what we have here is a home made inverter which creates an unnecessarily high voltage, only to feed a dozen bulbs which are placed in series and the bulbs are presumably LED and end up driving each junction at no more than 3V. The reason why you think you think you have created something amazing is because you don't understand the relationship between Volts, Amps and Watts.
My, my... it's interesting and I'd love to be able to follow but the high frequency noise was piercing my eardrum after less than 1 min and could not follow anymore, would you mind cleaning up the audio (I could try doing that for you) or re-recording a new audio track to swap in the video? Went to your site to read more... keep up the good work! Thanks! :)
I wonder if the same concept will work on a 4 foot bulb. I would like to try it out. I went on the schemetic link there is no actual parts list. What type of transistor. What type of core and where can I get one. What gauge of wire. What is the magnet size and type. Is there a patent or copywrite on the design. I met this old farmer that's off the grid. I want to replicate this and give it to him as a present. He is letting me use some land to do a free workshop to teach people organic gardening
Great video! What a wonderful perspective from which to appreciate the created order and defrag a little from some of life's responsibilities. I wonder if someone has developed an off-the-shelf direct-link and broadcast card for flying it visually via video ground link. That would be really cool.
what is the ring itself made out of? Would you post or send a design layout? Would love to put one of these on my motorcycle. Thsnk you. great interview. Sciematic me!
these type of circuits have a lot to do with resonance and cause the the wire to make noise just like when you charge the capacitor on a camera flash it makes noise this is just constant put circuit in a sound proof box and all will be quite
As impressive as this looks I have a question. Regarding voltage drop over distance. In close proximity those lights look good. What gauge copper wire and what length of the wire are you using between each light? If your were to space those lights 10' or 15' apart. Would they be just as bright? Or would the resistance of the wiring reduce the power to the lights thus dimming them more?
So you have 13volts @ 200mA that's 2.6 watts ov power input, right? So how many watts are you getting from those LED bulbs? Are they going the same brightness as if they were in a conventional 110vac socket, you think?
There are things called boost converters which will do the same thing as your big ring, but far more efficiently and in a package that's the size of a pack of gum. There is nothing magical about coils of wire (inductors) to anyone but a layman.
Boost converters made by people who learned electronics instead of focusing on smoke and mirrors.
What it is up with that last bulb at righ of video? As the camera moves I can see it is not spheric like the others, seems like it is smashed... Strange.
Good and classic design, I believe Tesla was the creator. The problem is the lights have to be in series to be able to take the high voltage, and the high pitch noise it sure is good to scare rodents away. and some people too
What voltage are these lights running on..guessing 110v, but could be 12v i suppose.
Trying to work out the wattage being consumed, and whether or not another solar panel or two could make use of the light output to charge the battery powering the lights...you see where i'm going with my thinking?
I've been looking for a way to get atleast our lighting off the grid since 1999. We live in an apartment,so it makes it a bit dfficult. I've tried 3 batteries with a converter but the batteries still need to be charged with a charger. So now i'm thinking of using perpetual motion with a magnetic motor. But u have a good idea here that seems to work just fine.

@lasersaber could it be mounted in a sound insulated box? Great work! There has got to be a lot of sheds around that need good 24-7 lighting, including mine. :D
Hi lasersaber, great work! Keep going! If you change the place of rechargeable battery to be in series with the loads and some other fine tweaks, you can recharge also the battery in the same time with providing light. An put a diode instead the place of the actual place of the battery, in the schematic. All the best, maybe you can provide a schematic of your currently device, too.
A good friend of mine had used an inverter and that was connected to a battery but came to the conclusion that the battery was way to fast empty !
So an invertor is good for small things but when you're using a device (or multiple devices) that needs (or together) many amperes, the inverter is not well working because it cannot handle much amperes. It will use more from the battery than normal.
I gotta start playing around with these. I gotta small 12v power inverter that will either get the tv to work or about 3 low watt CF lightbulbs when the power is out.

Need to shrink that design down and operate at >20KHz. I could not be in the same room with that thing for more than a couple of minutes! Are those bulbs incandescent?
That's an awful lot of light. You could try placing your solar panel behind the lights and see if you get enough milli-amps to refill your battery. Well done!
Did you look into the 400W inverter from Harbor Freight? I found that one only uses 200mA to get the 120V and I let it run non stop in my shed. Will easily keep the deep cycle batt topped off and yet still provide as much as 400W of available power. Been using it for over a year now with great success. Runs 120V lights outside (photocell/motion spots) and the 12V lights inside.
I'd have to agree, a schematic would help. It's not a coincidence that the "sources" are drying-up. The original incidence, for whatever reason, is merely being repeated down the economic line.
I request a schematic if not to buy a device from you! I want one for my home! What does it take to get 220V AC out of it and can you tune it to 50Hz do you think?
What is that black box? Is it a battery or an inverter? You mentioned solar, but I don't see any external connections that could be going to a solar panel? I would love to see the schematics!
that joule ringer...would there be a way you could send me a schematic on that. im building motor controller. id like to get enough power from a large one to make a small motor go. what do you think? what kind of input would i need to make a 30 hp motor go and how big do ya think it would need to be?
To attn. Mr. Steven E. Jones, lasersaber-Open letter!
A lot thanks to you for your smart, clever, usefull devices - you are very talented and outstanding engineer. Please remember about a mission of everyone on our Earth- your role- to help our Planet.A climate is changing fast due to pollution and problem with energy. It is a time to save of our Home. You must to open secrets of your devices and grant ,present them for US, for all people!
Great stuff, let's have a schematic and if you can provide a parts list so a rusty electronics hobbyist like myself can get the thing working then I'd love it. I had an idea to power my home lighting with a Joule Ringer and get my friends and family one too and do something more socially significant in my community. So keep up the good work and please help us to replicate and spread this technology as fast as possible. BTW is that squeal obligatory?

I see bulbs powered by a battery (the black box) through an inverter at high frequency.
This is a very conventional principle known for decades.
Does someone pretend the battery produces less current than consumed? In this case, a small capacitor or AAA battery would be enough!

lasersaber. I keep coming back to see incredible new stuff you have dreamed up.
gone for over a month......probably working on commercial shop light dongle...I'll buy one.
Please post more info like you implied you would... I would like to replicate.
hankyou for all your good works

I do the same in my workshop, without any transformer, coil, inductor, just plug the lamps into the wall outlet.

Can't wait to see the schematic...got my metglass toroid and it's amazing how efficient they are.

Schematic please.
Much appreciated.

Can you silence a joule ringer with an inverse sound wave and a small piezoelectric speaker?

Is it possible to make home brew toroid cores for a system like this?

I would like to replicate this. Where can I find the schematic?

What is that black box? Is it a battery or an inverter? You mentioned solar, but I don't see any external connections that could be going to a solar panel? I would love to see the schematics!

Would adding a small cermaic cap to the coil resonating the make it stop the wires from squeeling?

that joule ringer...would there be a way you could send me a schematic on that. im building motor controller. id like to get enough power from a large one to make a small motor go. what do you think? what kind of input would i need to make a 30 hp motor go and how big do ya think it would need to be?

i guess it could be totally covered in epoxy to remove the sound to a degree. should not be too hard to eliminate. pretty badass.

The ringing is music to my ears! It has the sound of free energy.
Keep up the great work LS and we are looking forward to your schematic, etc.
God Bless You!
P.S. How is the buried NS coil doing now? We would like to know if being buried causes more energy generation than being in the open.

how long can this run on a charge?

Great stuff, let's have a schematic and if you can provide a parts list so a rusty electronics hobbyist like myself can get the thing working then I'd love it. I had an idea to power my home lighting with a Joule Ringer and get my friends and family one too and do something more socially significant in my community. So keep up the good work and please help us to replicate and spread this technology as fast as possible. BTW is that squeal obligatory?
