@maxlotte I tend to prefer emg 85 for low tunings with "light" woods like alder on this guitar.

great ! how did you record the sound ? and Could you say what do you set the 6505 ?

@Vistish Hey, the sound was recorded diectly into the computer. The peavey was connected to a loadbox and then into the soundcard. The cab used was a redwirez impulse. I think the preset was something like that :

Lead Pre - 4

Low - 4

Mid - 7

High - 7

Res - 5

Pres - 7

How come you decided to switch the gear up?

@VhMetalx Because I didn't like the old CoB sound anymore. And I wanted to go for a more personal tone and gear (I was bored being a fanboy) so I sold the Lee Jackson GP and SP as well as the ESP CS Arrowhead. I'm keeping the pink one though :)

And I bought a Peavey 6505 and a Gibson, I also replaced all the Jackson pickups I had and took off all the MM-04.

That's a start :)

I didn't use any cab. The Peavey 6505 was going into a Palmer PDI-03 which acts as a loadbox. The speaker simulations were Redwirez or something like that. I didn't use those of the Palmer 'cause they sound like shit IMO, so I bypassed them.

@Distlover I have a Marshall 1960A. It's a 4*12 speaker with G12T75 I think. Gosh, I should know that xD

Other than that I do also use my combo when I can't play loud (at night) it is a VOX AD30VT.

@Ellinarkkari Because I didn't enjoy playing fast leads, technical solos etc. Of course I still play melodies and some leads here and there but most of the time I skip those parts. Don't worry, some solos on this last album are so good I'll have to play them ;)

@Ellinarkkari Yep totally. I didn't notice it at first but the begining is a bit out of timing. That's because I played way louder than the CD... Won't happen again. But it gets better after that first riff, I really can't explain it.

I've always had troubles being always right in time and I started working seriously on it recently. As said in the description, I want to focus on rythm guitars now and stopped being a lead.
