@kassooh : pls change the song title to 'H.A. Omoro Alando' performed by Kaudha Twins Band ... side B of the record had the song 'Jane Ochieng'. .... the vinyl was released on Kundi label ... thnks for the upload, reminds me of my days of innocence. my dad had the record but it got lost with many others
Kassooh! Mwa watutunga tumandikoni! Please post 'December' by the same artist and 'Safari ya Kericho' and 'Marisela' by Christopher Monyoncho and we are there!!
I am not a Luo and so do not understand a single word in Jane Ochieng. But I danced this song several years ago with my age mates (all from Central Province, Kenya) and, boy, did we like it! One of the best songs of our time. For those of you who were there, I am sure you will recall a Kikuyu song no doubt copied from Jane Ochieng.
Great benga classic from 1973.

The iconic symbol of Kundii (ostrich) chasing this dude, has added a mystery to this song since it was first released in 1973.
Consider this: this song is about a happy reception during a visit in Ugenya, yet, there are no ostriches in Ugenya.
Just love it.
