@WhiteMaleRights lol no they aren't... taekwondo kick with their foot and 'snap' their kicks, which is retarded... Cung kicks with his shin and follows through, you do way more damage like this.
@mrpsb7 Its a lot faster but weaker but still it should be pretty powerful, after all its a leg. Ive done Muay Thai and TKD. There are benefits to both styles. The TKD is very likely to hit and can do some decent damagae cause it comes so fast but there is less power than the muay thai which is slower but does huge damage
@WhiteMaleRights Are you trying to say you've been kicked in the head too many times? I'm not sure what that has to do with anything I said. Nobody is saying that head kicks don't hurt. Go relieve your stress by training or something.
@WhiteMaleRights I'm not sure what "tea kwon do" is or where you learned to read or write, but if you read his book "San shou: the Complete Fighting System", he makes it very clear that his primary style is San shou. And in interviews and in his biographical information, he makes it clear that he has also practiced Vietnamese kung fu, TAE kwon do, and collegiate style wrestling.
love this takedown, but using it is a huge gamble. you have to make sure you catch your opponent completely off guard. if your setup isn't quick and clean enough, your best case scenario will be missing, falling on the ground, and being completely vulnerable to a foot in the back of the head. worst case scenario is your opponent lowers his center of gravity and you get caught in an awkward position, unable to take him to the ground.
@bonkling I don't see how my opinion is funny, but either way, what I meant was that Cung Le had a chance of beating him in his prime, now he would get dominated within the first 2 minutes of the fight. I didn't mean that Le was better than Silva in his prime. Remember, Silva still lost four times, would you consider any of those fighters better than Silva? No, and IMO, Le would have just as good a chance or better than the others. That's all meant...
@theroadhouse1989 Timing is the key as with other types of takedowns (the double / single). This move is also used in sambo as well. It can be done also when you have the whizzer on your opponent (imanari shows this). I just don't see why he calls it a reverse scissor kick. I wonder what the other version then.
@dss103 i doubt anyone can pull this on anderson silva again.even when he got caught in it he was kicking that dudes ass the whole time then he got caught.
@LilBlitz116 Just saw the video... Yeah he was kicking ass... but something so simple from an underpower fighter pressing sliva in submission is hilarious.
KoreAHNO so san shou is basically washu? i seen washu and all they do is do forms and shit. i never actully see them fight. but yea thanks for letting me know how it got evolved.
@lilsm555 so how is it wushu? i never seen them fight in my life. and cung le even said its san shou. and honestly its not even kung fu man. this copied thai boxing plus wrestleing and now they say its a wushu kung fu lol
@lilsm555 no i know what u mean. But chinese actully admit that they copied thai boxing. cuz there kung fu lost by the thai boxer so they made san shou
@reporter errhh no sanshou or sanda gotta depend on which school you learn it from . and the wrestling form is from mongolia pass down to china wrestling called shuai jiao long before china contact with the western world . and moves from hung gar . and then came western boxing then kicks from traditional gong fu , TKD and muay thai . Punching , kicking , wrestling and grappling form . its like mma without the bjj .
@reporter yes, tis' san shou/sanda. it's based off of wushu gongfu, but more sport-like just like how muay boran evolved into muay thai for sport purpose.
cung le is my favorite fighter :D go San Shou Fighter >:)

perfect opposite pyschology verses two kicks to the stomach and takedown!

@WhiteMaleRights So I'm guessing you're a disgruntled TKD practitioner? I guess the Foot Fist Way was mildly offense.
