Ok well first of all they raced the wrong sleds... The 1200 puts out 150 more cc and so this is like racing a 600 with an 800 the winner is obvious. Race a 1200 with a apex them come back and try talkin sh*t bout yamaha

yamaha owns the 4 strokes snowmobile, their engine are way better. Dont forget that the skidoo is a 1200 while the yamaha is a 1050 cc, bore and stroke that yammy to a 1200cc and it would decimate even more the skidoo

Yea the throttle response on the nytro is awesome. What one is faster. 0-60, 0-80 , 30-80 mph etc

@40nbelow - with grip i'd say the -11 nytro winns full length. but thats on hard packed snow, in the swedish powder the ski-doo laughts at the nytro cause it gets stuck way easier. the flotation of the ski-doo winns the nytro anytime. but on the trails, i'd pick the nytro cause its way faster and way more reliable

So were these both stock? Anyone have studs? How much did you win by? Same rider weight? What distance did you run... If your camera man was 1/2 way down the track it would have been a little easier to see the comparo, instead of the snowcloud ... Not dissing Yamaha , as Im interested in a nytro for 2012 , but everyone I have talked to "THAT ACTUALLY HAS BOTH " says the 1200 pulls on the nytro....

@40nbelow - got the ski-doo and own the nytro (renegade 1200 and nytro XTX). The ski-doo is way better in almost everyway exept one thing... If you do a little offtrail the ski-doo is way better cause of the track is slightly wider and also the hight (don't know the name for it in english) of the "kammhöjd" is higher. 44mm compared to 32mm on the nytro. the onboard digital speedometer is also a good feture on the renegade.

@40nbelow also one thing.The weight distribution is according to me way better on the nytro.easier to boondock and alot easier to flick around.but that can be taken care of with a bit of brute force (me personally don't like brute force) on the sled but i like the ski-doo to much to take that in to the equation.the trottlerespons is way better on the nytro. also it got a more race-ish setting in the "continuously variable gear" (known as "variator" in sweden).the doo's version is for me thought.

@maxence134 Apex are 4 stroke engine 1000 cc, is there any other stock sled around 4 stroke 1000 cc that pulls more than that, there is a fifth main brand of snowmobile i am not aware of. artic cat, skidoo and polaris 4 stroke dont worth shit performance wise in comparaison to a Apex. It just going to be even more fun when there are not going to be 2 stroke anymore, then you are going to see why some people like the yammys

There is not more maintenance on a 4 stroke and I would rather do one oil change at the beginning of the year than spend alot of money on oil that I would have to replace all the time, as for the sound I think they sound awsome
