@drmdicarlo grievous had a lightsaber similar to this one, but blue also,and that saber is the Shak Tii's stolen saber. Grievous stolen her lightsaber and used it to kill her and put on his collection.

@drogadepc Sigh...like i said, this is my "interpretation" since in some pictures, the obi-ish saber he carries has a green blade and in some it has a blue. Neither is canon.

I got the polycarb tube in the mail yesterday! :) I sanded it down to make it more opaque, but does anyone have any tips on how I can cap it off and make the color in it even? Thanks

@JBGClassOf2013 you need to check the forums at the custom saber shop. There is a blade making tutorial there that will answer all of your questions. the tut was made by Jay-gon Jinn.

Amazing! I just contacted you on your site for something similar. I was wondering if you can convert the 2010 removable blade obi wan to a green led saber lile this one. Also maybe make the already incredible soundboard louder.

@100Applez Master Replicas are no longer made. Hasbro Signature Series sabers have taken their place. As t which are 'better", well that is subjective. To me, the MR Obi's and Lukes are better than the Hasbro.

@kaymo211 Sorry, but you have not given me enough info to answer your question. Could be a blade that is too small OD, could be that you don't have a long enough retention screw, could be that you did the conversion incorrectly. There are many possibilities. If I were you, I would check my retention screw length.

looks like Obi-Wans. man George Lucas got lazy when he gave grievous his lightsabers. Grievous even carries an Anakin saber in green, too. lol. anyways, nice Saber. =)

That was not a criticism. It was merely a question. I have been doing some research into custom sabers for future reference. I want to know what it is that costs $255. Obviously there is the cost for the actual FX itself but then...

The saber was converted to a Luxeon LED saber with an aluminum blade holder. The blade is now fully removable and replaceable. The accent LEDs with ramping effect have been installed and the bubble strip replaces the stock plastic box cover. Thanks for the interest. ;) this is priced according to the accepted Mining colony price guidelines at: Fx saber (new) $99 plus shipping, Metal luxeon conversion $125 and 2 accent LEDs @ $10 each...crap, I under priced it, well they will stay at $255.

I dont get it. So you buy parts for LED Lightsabers and build them yourself, and FX lightsabers comes in whole and are more like collectables?

Kinda. FX sabers have permanently attached blades and the LEDs break easily when hit on things. THe custom sabers built by sabersmiths have removable blades, accent LEDs (frequently), and the LEDs do not break when hit.
