He warns people that they won't get a Crown and that they will be in for a nasty surprise in death, and that they won't receive salvation unless they do works for God and share the Gospel to the ends of the world. Yet ironically, it will be David that will be in for a surprise when he learns that his own righteousness couldn't save him. Romans 10:3
