i drove this thing. it looks tame, but its got amazing acceleration, especially since they have it putting out max torque in a lower RPM. definitely will beat a vw gti or anything else in its price range

Looks more like a retro 1988 Honda CRX. I would still not buy one as Subaru's 2.5L engine has a LONG history of coolant and head gasket problems. Looks like they took a great design and turned it into somathing akin to a 1974 Ford Pinto hatchback.

I understand, the only reason I like the 08 is because it kills the evo X ad the 9, I just don't like the hatch idea, Love the bugg eyed look. The only reason I got the 07 was because I wanted an AWD car and i heard of all the improvements like the longer gears and bigger cams and a bigger turbo, plus I liked how it looked, I still want to get an 04.

eeh...I still like the hatch...compared to the previous hatch this one is actuially a hothatch and not some wagon SUV thing....the reason why I disslike the previous vers is due to the HUGE rear tail and the scoop upfront looks like JC whitney catalogue addons...that drove me up the frukken wall. and for me the car flexes a little too much...beyond that...the 04 next in line I think is one of the better designes.

Well, I love the over sized wing on the back, cuz it works, and love that scoop because you know you are driving a Subaru. The new scoop is not even a scoop, it looks like they just cut the hood and bent it down. Like I said, it will grow on, and thing that I like is that the new 08 is faster then the evo ( and X and the previous STi.

Yeah I must be honest the new look is a little more..(not saying bad) but more "typical Sports Hatch" look...still good though. In person there very nice and thats another thing thats deceving is that the pics do the car no justice...from a IRL standpoint its...not bad^^ and the seats are still very much in the Subaru fassion. and its a car you can take in a 20 mile commute and hop into work with an ear to ear grin...and not a sore back. thats a nice thing.
