@CroGamer1 Yup, they're 11s for a fact. Daniele said in an interview that he chooses them. Not exactly sure for what reason, but I'm pretty sure it's for that killer tone he has. Really thick and chunky chords and unrealistic passive sustain.

@XAlphaZEROX It's actually a little easier to play with thicker strings if they are balanced. You can play off the resistance with bends a lot better for vibrato. Try playing around on the G string on a lite set and you get better sustain, resistance, less bleed/fizzle/deadness than the other strings.

@Whyrendog Vibrato, I actually scallop my frets for that. But I'll admit... thicker strings give Nigel Sustain. I mean if you watch Gottardo's live performance of the song, the very last note that he plays just rings on forever and you're just sitting in your chair with your head blown. I've tried 11s, and personally they're not for me seeing that I have relatively weaker hands than other guitarists (been using 9-46s because of it)

@XAlphaZEROX Interesting...I like the D'Addario 10-46 (EXL110) overall the best. They're great for vibrato all the way to the 46. Seems like harmonics come out nicer too. I need to switch back to them again. You know today, this sounds more like Richie Kotzen's sound and style to me, which is awesome. I know someone that uses these pickups and they do have great tone and sustain themselves, as well as that pick attack that comes through just right. Will have to see the live vid. +

This piece of music is a masterpiece. It embodies all the awesome elements of guitar, melody and mood. Perfect to me. I would have chosen this as a winner for that contest. That underlying chord progression is always hard hitting everytime it comes around. The tasty bending and vibrato combined with the fast tapped runs makes a real interesting and powerful piece overall . Now... I must go and practice more before I sell my guitar on ebay... :P
