Week 1 Post-Op VSG -complications- (Part 3)

I watched all three videos, I hope you have had sucess with this surgery long term and are happy with it. I am going to begin the wls talk with my primary physician next week and I like the sound of the sleeve the best. my BMI is 48.5 right now so I hope that won't be an issue, also I have had open abdominal surgeries including ventral hernia repair with mesh so I hope that doesn't hurt my chances. God bless you for taking this step to a healthier life. :)

I did listen to the three parts. I hope to get to watch more of your videos. I had surgery in Jan 08.

I STILL can't sleep on my side yet...but the pain is getting better, so I am expecting a good nights sleep soon!!! I have to confess that it has been triple digits here in Texas, and I have been craving water, and not those oh-so-yummy protein drinks! HaHa Sooo, I haven't been getting in my protein like before. But, my body doesnt feel satisfied with the protein drinks, only the water, so I am giving it what it wants. I hope my hair doesn't start falling out...has that happend to you yet?

Yeah I did have a hiatal hernia, and I think that is where most of my pain is coming from when I swallow. It hurts like a *****!!! The Doctor said it was a massive hernia, dont you just love hearing that-lol, and that only 80% show up in the EGD's or the Upper-GI's. He showed me the picture of it from the inside, and it was pretty big. I'm just glad the hernia repair was included in the self-pay price!

No need for a part 4...but never say never =D

Hey April! Thanks for watching all 3 videos!!! You know, I have gotten quite a few responses from people telling me that they had Oxygen issues too, so maybe that is just a part of the recovery process for weight loss surgery patients. I just wanted to let you know, in case it happens to you too. And I will def. send some angels your way, on your big day! It's getting closer... :o)

Thank you for the sweet comment, Christa! I am feeling so much better now. Every day is a new adventure, and I am loving it!  The pain is slowly going away, and I am able to do more things now. What a rollercoaster ride this is...but I wouldnt trade it for anything! :o)
