I can understand why someone would argue against an open-door immigration policy, however such a policy isn't in affect in Britain anyway so I fail to see why it is such a huge concern.
Immigration can improve a countries culture; an example being the composer Handel, born in Germany though a naturalised British citizen. He wrote anthems for the coronation of British monarchs still well-known today greatly contributing to our sense of 'British music'. Should he have been deported?

Firstly, fourty percent is hardly a massive turnout.
