  • This guy is awesome. I just got finished watching "The Spirit Of The Marathon" it was awesome. Hope he gets 1st place in Chicago!! he looked really good and strong out there. good luck keep it up champ!

  • I wish I could run that fast! My parents are from Kenya - tieta- ( don't know how it's spelled). It would be cool to go to Kenya.. see outside North America, and learn more about kenyan life!

  • I wish I could run as fast. My parents are Kenyan but I'm bad at running. But I was born in Canada and have never gone to Kenya and haven't trained in that weather. Hopefully he's gotten a sponsor....

  • Hope he fill find a person with a good heart and support him.

    Greetings from Nahum

  • kenya is blessed country man fanya kazi kikuyu

  • WOW! i love this guy. such a nice guy! very friendly. good personality.

  • Actually Daniel Muturi got some help in Kenya, but what he is looking, is a way or possibility to train and to compete in Europe or in the US.

  • Don't come to America to go to school... GET A JOB! Running isn't the only job you can do!

  • Your comment shows me that you have never tried to get a job in the countryside of Kenya (maybe you have never been there?) and that you have never tried to feed your family with maybe 100ksh a day (that is less than 1 US Dollar). So your comment is very naive. It shows me, that you don't know much about the situation in Kenya. Nevertheless: All the best for you and have a nice day.

(who is not Muthuri the runner)

  • I hope he has found a sponser. If not, I wish him all the best of luck!

  • Unfortunately up to now (Sept. 2008)he has not found a sponsor...

  • MY LAST NAME IS WAHOME! woo hoo i wunder if therz a relation...

  • How can I help him? Everyone that has a talent and a dream should be able to fufill it! He has good track times and it seems that he tries his hardest!

    A nice video!:)

  • Muturi is looking for a sponsor in Europe or in America. So that he can make there his sports and can visit the international competitions.

    N.

  • I think I have found the secret to Kenyan Sucess. They train in high altitudes, only run(no jobs), built for it. thats all there is to it

  • lol, thats funny. lol

  • ragin

  • That man's got wheels. he deserves a sponser

  • 30 minutes for 10k is good, but it won't get him sponsored. He needs to run at least low 28s. I'm sure he could though with a good coach and training group.

  • Sixers, I agree, Muturi will run under 28 minutes for 10000 m and he is now in a training group in the near of Nyahururu in Kenya.- N.

  • Are you Really Daniel Njenga or someone talking for Njenga. If you are Daniel Njenga I have some serious questions for you. Even if not I got some serious Questions.

  • Hi Spyder, my nickname is Njenga, I run this website. The runner in this clip is a friend of mine in Kenya, whom I want to help. His name is Daniel Muturi Wahome, how you can read in the comment at the right side of the video window and over the window in the title. I' m the man in the video clip, who ask Daniel the questions. I don't live in Kenya, but I'm sometimes there because of my family.-- I hope you understand now my position and the one of Daniel.-NJENGA

  • But Spyder, please, don't ask me why I put all these clips in YouTube. If you don't can accept it, I can't help you. Because on YouTube there are a lot of people, who are don't know the meaning of tolerance. But I can't change it. Only ignore intolerance.--- But if you know a way to help Daniel you are very welcomed. NJENGA

  • Don't think i am talking bad about him I love him and i Love watching him run marathons. I am 14 years old and I am running my first marathon in the Niagare Falls International marathon. I want to Know if i am ready to run a sub 3hr marathon my mile time is around 5:30 mile and my long runs are around 35 miles at about an 8:30 pace. I got two weeks and I am getting very nervous and I need to know if it is possible for me to run a sub 3:00 marathon. I will be so happy if you answer my Question.

  • Hi Spyder,

please look at your postbox at YouTube. There you will find an answer. NJENGA

  • Sorry, my expression can confuse

Whe I said "Monster".. I meant to say some very good (exceptionnal) runners

And why do Kenyan run so good ? Is it because they had to run to get water, and they've been some of the only people to run from generation to generation ?

  • The Kenyans run so good because it is in their gens, in their body and figur, like it is also in the Ethopians. And they have the wondferful highlands, for example around Nyahururu, where they find the best training conditions for their sports ... and they thousands who hope by this running to find a chance to come out of their poverty like the soccer boys try it in Brasil ....

  • see i think saying the kenyans are so good because its in the gens, body figure etc is making excuses. If you want to beat them it will just take some hard work, dedication and sacrafice. Remeber... Nothing is impossible

  • Man, imagine if he gets a trainer

Imagine after, with a diet and more

Imagine with the rest.. soem drugs etc.. he'd be a monster

    Sadjesture says the truth too

  • Slixe, tell me the truth!: You took drugs before you have written your commentary here. -- Sure sure ...

  • lmao

    Am just exagerating

But seriously, if does guys would be trainned in the USA.. they'd be monsters

  • Seriously, Slixe, you should not call them "monsters" ... look here at Youtube to "ChasingKimbia" if you haven't not already done it. There you will find some Kenyan runners who run also in the States ...

  • but the best training for them is always the runs in the Kenyan Highlands with a good trainer, like it's told in the ChasingKIMBIA Diary ...

  • ... by the way: Muturi is a very fine man and has become a good friend of mine. That's the main reason that I put these videos on YouTube .. and he needs realy help like so many others not only in Kenya ...

  • Morning run is the best run !

    running for 5years.

    Those are some good times.

  • Daniel Muturi Wahome's running times are:

    8:52 min. for 3.000 m,

    14:41 min. for 5.000 m and

    30:00 min. for 10.000 m.

  • Damn, and to think that people from Kenya and Ethiopia are wooping all the professionally trained Americans with so many sponsors. Imagine what happens when Africa industrializes... I bet there are a lot of talented people like him awaiting to be discover.

  • So what is the conclusion of what you are writing, dear sadjesture, not to try to help Muturi to come out of his poor bad situation? _ I think we have the duty to help the people who ask us and who are talented and willing if we can do it with our little private possibilities. --- And: I know - like the most of us - that there a lot of people not only in sports and in Africa who are waiting to get their chance.

  • no he just said that people from kenya and ethiopia are very good at running, and that once africa industrializes so many talents will be discovered

  • Yes, I know ... I misunderstood him a lttle bit. Sorry for that, especially to "Sadjesture", if you read that, my friend. And thank you for your advice "Tevaz".

  • Africa is one of the most culturally diverse continents. When it does industrialize, move in! :D I'm sure you will love it even as it is right now. Beautiful is an understatement in my opinion.
