This is maybe a weird thing to post in relation to such an upbeat song but.. yesterday was the two year anniversary of my mom passing away.. She and I used to sing this song together all the time.. So listening to it right now makes me feel a little better, and it helps me remember the laughs we had together..
If anyone were to dislike this video, it means they only have a 1999" TV with 89,000 watts of Dolby sound and are gelous of Frank's 2000" TV with 90,000 watts of Dolby sound.
A 2000" TV would have a 166.66' (50.8 m) diagonal — a standard 4:3 ratio screen would be 100' (30.48 m) by 133' 4" (40.64 m); almost half the length of a football field, and ten stories high.
Yes, 2,000 inches would be a huge stretch. That's why Al says these long-drawn-out ideas like being able to "watch "The Simpsons" from thirty blocks away."
A drive-in movie would never match up to that. ;)
Great Al song. I have a theory that Al may be playing it in the set list for the next tour... but that's just sort of a guess.
@sonicmario64 Come to think of it, it says RIGHT in the song it would be "Like Having a Drive-In Movie in Your Own Living Room." Now I want one. Imagine watching a 3D movie on that sucker!
How weird is it that this is my drunk song!?!

My dad keeps getting a bigger tv to replace his old one, and his name is Frank. Maybe this song is turning into a goal for him, lol.

I had this album when I was a kid. I changed the words and sang "Frank's 2000 inch wee wee". True story, I got other kids singing it too
