I played the yellow one at a GC and played it through a Marshall VM. It sounded pretty much the same, but the neck on the yellow one I played wasn't fretted well. - a single hum axe isn't too versatile, but that's what having multiple guitars is for ;) I've got a custom shop charvel on its way and that's one hum- just play around with the volume knob. You could also have a luthier route the slinger' for a neck pup.
